I was thinking raven was the assassin, but unlike Tai who's more of a sledgehammer you drop on any group of enemies, with his idea of stealth being leaving no one left alive to tell what happened, Raven is the scalpel, the actually quiet killer in the night no one knows anything about.

So both Raven and Tai loved Summer for being a noble hero and bonded with each other over being vicious warriors. Raven the careful murderer and Tai the walking nuke they threw at people

And was Qrow the awkward third, excuse me fourth wheel, or was he an active participant in team bonding exercises? Lol

I think he and Raven had a weird relationship and Qrow and Tai tag teamed Raven

Speaking of Raven, obviously her fears of being a good mom and of salem hurting her children are what caused her to leave not whatever edgy bullshit she said about surviving no matter what. But if she is running a bandit camp do you think it should be flesh out more? Or should it be a cover for some other work she's doing?

You know the idea of semi nomadic people like the huns and the various other steppe people, occasionally raiding, conquering, and feuding with their more civilized counter parts would be cool. The cities survived the grim by building massive fortresses and advancing in technology, while the nomad survived by running. Maybe the advance of technology has gotten so far the nomadic lifestyle is slowly dying off now.

Secretly on a mission from Ozpin in such a way she rarely sees her daughter? And when Tai finds out Ozpin has been pulling his chain the Quest sees how dangerous the Dragon is?

What are Grimm? Mindless monsters? Dark fae? To use the fairy tail side more and make them more sinister or capable of thought and agency and emotion. What are Grimm to you?

Mindless creatures at first that just follows the heard, and over time gain instincts, Stuff like which humans to fight and which to run. How to track caravans and how to approach cities without getting spotted. Then over time, years turn to decades and the hundreds of years, they would gain sentience along with getting stronger and stronger.

I finally saw the rebound girl thing.
For dramatic twist I would have it that yes. Tai was the guy who got both the psycho bandit and silver eyed hero.
I'd lean into Tai's background is some major dark shit. Dude maybe with gangester or bandit clan tattoos himself.

Are there Grimm so old they have agenda and loyalties and loves? A weapon, a curse sent by the Gods that once they gain free will and personality, can choose good and evil or in between

I kind of like the idea of grim just being straight monster that can't love, and the older ones are basically boss fights to deal with, but it could be fun to see the team RWBY get knotted by grim. lol

You want pure evil or you want the question of what happens when the divine curse sent by the Gods gains a soul? What happens whey choose.

And Tai I'd lean into the title and history of being the Dragon. Ozpin's pet monster alongside the Raven he sent to enforce his will. Secret shit RWBY doesn't know about but some of the professors do and they act weird around Tai

And than you have Cardin try shit with Ruby and he gets to see old Tai

Nah, Cardin specifically a prick towards Jaune because he knows Jaune won't fight back. He has enough braincells to rub together to know picking a fight with Ruby means picking a fight with her sisters and her team mates.

But Roman will definitely get his oh shit moment with daddy Tai at some point.

Roman knows exactly who the Dragon is. What is Tai's, oh wait. What the fuck are Semblances. We need to rebuild Aura from the ground up as RWBY gave us dish water to work with

Ummm, what do we have? Semblance are reflections of person soul. each person has a unique version of it. Some families have magic bloodlines that share the same semblance over generations, and directly contradicting the first rules, but that's RWBY's writing for you.

Did the show give us anything else about semblances, or are they just basically cheap power ups for the main cast and villains?
