That could work, but I also really like the horror element the evil version of Greg brought.

I think Amy finds in Greg someone who doesn't want to use her because he's that desperate for a buddy and Greg finds in Amy a dark but funny person who slowly begins to open up about her problems

That's the trick. They both make each other evil. When one falters or doubts, the other reinforces bad behavior. Best friend bias

I know of only one other buddy cop Greg fic and Jackal did it. Greg and Lung as buddies. There is a dearth of Master fellowships to provide a emotional heart to a tale

Adam's such an under utilized character. If I was going to do anything with him, it would be that as psychotic and angry as he is, even he knows on some level he's starting to spiral and without Blake acting as an enabler and emotional sport cheerleaders, he's really going down hill and is fighting within wither he should stop and slow down or keep going and damn the consequences.
