How does David's plot develop and his relationship with the demons?

I'm talking more the high end ones like Smasher or Black Hand, but yeah the very existence of gangs and edge runner's is definitive proof the corpo's don't control everything. Its why i think something like Deus Ex or Cruelty Squad are much more bleak and fitting with the theme's than Cyberpunk 2077 ever was.

How so more fitting?

David's path is very similar to his mom's, in that they both discover this alien culture and world just beyond their grasp hidden from, they explore it, learn it, form connections and relationship with the demons in it, and in the proccess are changed so much that they can't function as apart of normal society anymore and are reborn apart of this new world.

But the main difference between the two is that david is much more confrontational and a lot more sneaky around the demons than Gloria is.

With Deus Ex and cruelty squad, the control of the corpo's is literatly omnipresent. There is no gangs or plucky hero's trying to fight the system and in deus Ex most people aren't even aware of just how much control the corpo's have, instead choicing to believe a lie because its easier.

The corpo's are free to manipulate and change event with a flick of their fingers and only lose thanks to their arrogance and self destructive natures. It's a lot more bleak and a lot more philosophical about society and people's natures if that makes sense.

I'm still debating if david should get his own mentor or share the same one with his mom.

And in cyberpunk it might be the cyber tech and hacking are too wide spread to be fully controlled

It always cracks me up that Transformer a franchise made by the suits in charge with the explicit goal of selling toy trucks, was made by the writers into something this complicated and deep.

The IDW comics are a rabbit hole I am just exploring. There is this scene where Sound wave is going to shoot attacking humans and Optimus Prime asks him to tap into lower frequencies. Sound wave connects to the electrical singles of the human brains and realizes they use the same electric pattern as Cybertronian thoughts. He has a religious moment where he says they are the same as Cybertronians. All are one
