Dear god my skull was blood and bone and the swimming of dying thoughts between for a bit. Legs got cramped up at home but after taking warm bath its been reduced

Fun time with water ballons and running around being pelted by coworker's little brother with water ballons

Sounds fun. I've been busy today with chores. lol. Went and bought new mattresses for the house, apparently memorial day is the black Friday for mattress stores so if you ever need to buy one get one around then I was able to get close to a thousand dollars off everything. Then I've just been doing laundry and making my lunch for tomorrow.

Nice. I enjoyed some brownies at work event but couldn't eat a lot for fear of vomiting

Alright finished off the last couple things. The air bnb I'm at right now is nice and I love the fact it has a washer and drier inside the unit, but it sucks that the drier needs multiple cycles to work.

But holy cow its finally happening. The house, the job, god I'm so nervous and so excited at the same time. But enough about that. Other than parties and brownies, anything going on with you?

Eating lasaigna while watching rewview of mr birchrem and why conservatives as a rule are dog shit at comedy. The review even compares it to king of the hell which is a good conservative show that knows how to be funny and deep

King of the Hill is amazing though, comparing some knock off F is for Family that takes more time taking political shots than making jokes with that is like comparing a seasonal Isekai Anime with Berserk.

Although F is for Family is actually pretty good, I don't know if you've heard of Bill Burr the comedian, but he had a pretty rough family growing up and he was able to channel that along with some pretty good humor in that show. And speaking of Anime, King of the Hill actual has a very big Japanese fan base. Its almost as funny as how big Malcom in the Middle is in Mexico.

Conservative comedy is a dry dead well. There are very few shows that are consevative coded that don't suck ass these days

The Japanese dub is comedy gold.

But yeah, I don't think it's a conservative versus liberal thing. I just think politic's today are so toxic and self destructive, that its really hard to make it into a joke especially since the kind of person that wants to work on a tv show explicitly made for political reasons is not the kind of person who can take a joke at themselves.

The thing about King of the Hill is that Mike Judge, the creator, based it off of his experiences growing up in Texas, and while the story is about a more conservative part of America being forced to reconcile and relate to a younger more liberal generation, he doesn't let that get in the way of making joke about football or propane and he doesn't mind making fun of himself or his beliefs.

In general liberals make better comedy. There are terrible liberal shows, but as a rule of thumb conservatism is poison to creativity unless we talking old school conservatives like tolkein

I think in general the world's a pretty scary place right now, and this hyper polarization and politicization of everything is people trying to put all that nervous energy into something they think will help. I don't know, what's the quote I like. Revolutions don't happen if you have a refrigerator full of food.

I think right now, the economy is dog shit and its been dog shit ever since 2008, and we've just been pretending it isn't for the past decade with Covid finally tipping us over the edge. And I think the people in charge are aware of this, but since fixing it would mean they lose power they've been trying to distract us with identity polity's and populism.
