But I always felt a relationship between raven and robin worked a lot better. I mean I get the idea of Robin and Starfire, they where together in the comic's and super excited optimist with the stone cold realist is a trope for a reason, but I just never felt they really had all that much chemistry same with Beastboy and Raven. Slade in the comic's puts on the air of someone who's nothing but professional and always gets the job done, but when you actually look at his character and how he responds, the dude is just as crazy as any other one of Batman's villains. He has this pride that if it gets broken, the guy will spend decades of his life plotting and planning just to get back at that person.

So if your wanting to world build culture, lets start with the mountain clans. Big on honor and have a bit of a us versus them mentality, where they will gladly forget feuds and rivalry's if an outside force threatens them, making them surprisingly loyal despite how looked down upon they are for being "savage."
