And it isn't just speaking, it also pushes him to know the exact ways to beat someone in a fight or how to break a business apart, or how to guide an army. Its a little voice in the back of his head he can't turn off constantly pushing him.

Oh, a alternative self? A conquering king inside Jaune? A royal inner voice?

Seeing the world as foes, trophies, property owned and power to be gained

Don't really have a clue what the voice was, but I like that idea. lol.

I'm not sure what to do with the dad, or the whole family to be honest. What was it? Seven sisters? I'm not even sure if the RWBY writers have names for half of them. That just leaves me with a ton of brainstorming and characterization to do.

Have Jaune when he first awoke his Inner King Voice respond to him asking how do I make my family love me? Cue turning them into a Harem while he befriends Whitely at Beacon?

Sorry I couldn't respond yesterday. Just passed out pretty much as soon as I got home and then woke up at eleven or twelve wondering where I was. lol. That's how you know you slept good, when you can't even remember what's going on when you wake up. Crawling around attic's when its a hundred ten degrees out just wipes you out.

But your idea with Jaune is basically what I have planned. My backstory for him is that he was a really sickly kid growing up and you combine that with being the only boy and one of the youngest meant he got babied really badly and when he wanted to be more independent and try to join beacon one day, his family shut that down pretty hard instead pushing him to be a doctor for a teacher, something soft in there eyes.

So he gains his semblance and his first question is how can I make my family respect me.

And he doesn't realize at first his Semblance has opinions, a perspective that wants to help him but in a certain way. A Hyde or Hulk alt Jaune the Conqueror.

And like hyde or hulk it is a part of him. Its not a separate entity or curse. Its all that repressed anger and frustration at forever being the baby. At never being allowed to venture out or be the hero he always felt he was supposed to be. At watching all his sister's grow up and do great things or become great huntresses and not being allowed to join them.

It's Jaune's shadow self. What hehas said was selfish or greedy or too mean but also still him. Still caring about who he cares about
