I think what's interesting about him is that he's perfectly content with who he is. You know a lot of times with smarter people they like to justify or hide their character flaws or find some sort of philosophical or excuses for why they do what they do, but this guy doesn't care. He's intelligent and self aware enough to understand his own personal failings and doesn't care or want to fix it.
