I imagine Tai and Raven would turn Raven into a prisoner they abuse and reward only when acts as a faithful wife, stockholming her. Funny as that is what Tai did to Yang.

Rather than a family of assassin's, I like the idea of Tai coming for a minor street gang. His dad was already a pretty harden criminal and Tai was just starting to go down that path when he met Ozpin who offered him a way out and towards a better life. And that's why Tai is so pissed, this new life, this second chance that was supposed to be his way to do good instead of the evil he was born into?

It was a story Ozpin sold him so he could have a powerful warrior underneath his thumb. And now Tai is dedicated to the idea of freedom no matter what or how destructive it is.

So Tai keeps Yang away from crime as his sparring partner daughter wife and Tai is making extra sure to keep Ruby away from crime. Would Tai know Roman?

Of course, although Roman's small fry. The mafia he's apart of was devastated years back and has been fading into obscurity every since. Its how a young huntress in training was able to get away with threatening him like she did.

Roman's more coasting along by being too small to be taken seriously by anyone else and why he's stuck solely towards information gathering rather than trying to hold land or any rackets.

I would say Tai tried really hard to reign in Yang's emotions, ironically using many of the same lesson he learned from Ozpin. Knowing full well his daughter impulsiveness and how her semblance worked was going to get her really hurt one of these days.

And while he's been practically semi retired for a long time and practically a legend, Tai still has the reputation to throw around that makes people shut up and listen. Cinder would still be stupid enough especially if she's hopped on Salem magic to try and fight him, but she's definitively not going to treat this like a joke and she'll be looking for an escape the entire time.
