Questionable Questing

I kind of like the idea they had in the comic's, where Viltrum's where forced to live on earth for a year as a completely normal person after Thragg lost the first round. With many of the Viltrum's going native because of this.

What I'm thinking is that Nolan's status as the crown prince get's revealed early and after Thragg get's beaten back the first time. Most of the Viltrum's turn coat and join Earth, with mark being put in charge of trying to help them settle in and trying to reform Vilrtum society into something else.

And in reforming it he would shape it to serve earth. He's a earthling. Ironically his Viltrumite instincts for conquest see Viltrumites as resource to be mastered and claimed for Earth

That's the idea. While he love's earth its in the way a Viltrum would and not a Human. Never Human.

The question is does Mark's humanity change after his powers awaken or was he always like this but it was concealed in other ways?

Anyway I'm getting sleepy. Going to go to bed. Talk to you tomorrow.

To answer your question before I leave. Mark's always had a part of him that was off, but gaining his powers and embracing his them in order to protect his family pushed him along further.

It reminds me of this quote about how a serial killer is born. The mental illness is the gun and an abusive home-life is the bullets needed to cock it. Mark always had these instinct's, he was born with them, but it was the trauma of the repeated invasion that forced him to go full Viltrum.

I've been pondering Invincible. To show Mark is a Alien warrior species, you'd want the Viltrumite desires he has to have positive moral value. He's not evil, he's a different sense of right and wrong.

Is a large part of his urge and thinking on being a hero the conquering Viltrumite spirit interacting with the earthling belief of rescuing lives?

His compulsion and passion to act as a physical shield and guardian for others with his body, rooted in a viltrumite psychology of addressing obstacles with strength

Not bad. Had three students come to writing center today for help and two were normal college students and one was a high school student. Mark thoughts growing from the ones above if you want to chat that and tonight I read MHA

But with Mark's moral's. He wants to be a hero. He likes saving people and doing what's right. The issue he has and just like Nolan's issues is that he doesn't see the problem with violence or breaking things in-order to save more people. Its like with Injustice Superman. he has a slow boil of becoming worse and worse as his moral degraded and he continued to compromise.
Andy333
Andy333
Mark has no slow boil. He could rip someone in half with his bare hands and feel nothing over it. Again he for lack of better word, just doesn't have the same relationship with violence normal people do. Blood and guts or getting seriously just doesn't phase him like it normally should for most people.

But there's a nuance here. His viltrumite passions, those savage warrior instincts. They don't tell him to bully the weak or abuse his power. Except sexually. They say use force to solve his problems. And Mark's problems are people suffering and needing to be helped. Part of what makes him a good hero is he's a Viiltrumite.
