Maybe. i kind of like taking the canon characterization and twisting around at a different angle. the issue though is that guys like electric boy don't have much of a characterization. They need a character arc!

That allows scary depths inside. Maybe AFO has some medical care his mom needs? Hence him being a spy and having hidden evil uses of his power? Robin being a lifeline as he doesn't want to hurt Mina.

I kind of liked the idea of playing around with disappointment. Gere he has this stupidly powerful power, able to transmit thousands of volts of electricity, enough to stop practically anyone and he can only do it for a few seconds before he's useless.

Yet, he doesn't seem too worked up about it because it doesn't seem like he really cares that much about being a hero. I mean he enjoys the school, he wants to be one, but unlike Bakugo or Izuku who would be breaking their bodies to push past their limits and be a top hero. He seems content with where he's at.

He feels blessed with a curse. A joke of a power. And hides his disappointment from Mina. I feel there's foreshadowing in the League of Villians attack some hurt Mina.
Denki goes ice. He murders them. Not in a blind rage. A focused murderous application of his power.

Maybe he feels pressured to be a hero. Maybe his family and friends keep expecting him to be more. To do more. And he's just never had a choice as to what he could be or what he wants. He's just kind of gone along with it, caught up in this hype other people have for him and wondering if he can ever live up to it.

Oh and Denki actually has a relationship with Joru, the headphone jack girl. Mina is best friends with Kirishima, the hardening guy.

Could play with the temptation to absolutely mind fuck the ear plug girl with pain and sensory overload. Make him connect to Robbin through her seeing he has her problem. The desire to abuse and grow control. Just like her

Which speaking off, in two different ways. i just looked it up Joru is actually spelled Jiro. Sorry about that. But what to do with her?

I was kind of planning that she would turn to Robin since her office is the only silent place in the schools, thanks to her powers, with Jiro who's use to hear people breath very curious about experiencing what quiet is and using that as a jumping off point for Robin to corrupt her.

Robbin fucking with her sensory experience and more Denki. His personality needs sculpting. Having him as the spy with his mom needing help from AFO

I kind of like the idea of him spiraling a little, to tie it back with my original idea about disappointment, after the villain's league attack as he realizes how out classed he is and is really forced to start taking this seriously, only to find like you said his power isn't enough.
