Questionable Questing

The scars of war aren't something that hurts or that he's trying to hide. He proudly shows them off. He reveals them. It's a really alien world view and pretty heavy in the symbolism department too. With some cameo and hunting gear on top of that.

You know I didn't even think of Hephaestus, that works pretty well. But the missing limbs was caused by Nuclear Bombs, because it permanently crippled any wars that could be done by major powers and brought in one of the largest periods of peace ever. Which is why I was also considering him either suffering from cancer or having some kind of radiation burns. But I think that would make him too weak looking.

I like the idea of radiation burns. Have him be strong but wounded. I like how Nukes which he should love he hates because they brought in a age of MAD peace

He hates them, but unlike all the other gods he expected them because in a very ironic way he's more connected to and understands humanity than any of them. He knew at some point humans would build weapons so powerful people could never use them without destroying themselves.

Which is why he's so happy about Mark and his father arriving. Because while humans would never use them against themselves. Mark and Omniman aren't human. Ares knows this is his shot to make a new big war. And for it, he wants Mark to be the greatest possible warrior he can be.

And while he isn't allowed to interfere, especially since the other gods are terrified of alien interlopers since they have powers outside their domains. Ares doesn't care. if the Viltrums win and humanity goes extinct killing him in the process. He's completely fine with that as long as the final stand was a suitable epic. He would rather die than live in peace.

And teach him how to get a harem. As the god of violent glorious war, Ares has to like the spoils of hot bimbo bitches. Tis a primal dream of man

His mom's going to help him more with that, but Ares can give some pretty good advice. He's good at handling family disputes after all. lol

I kind of like that. I'm always a fan of Aphrodite having a darker side, she is after all made from the remains of Eros which is one of the primordial gods before the Titans and Greek Gods came into being. In ancient Greece they were actually kind of terrified of her.

Her lover is war. Aphrodite is telling Debbie seduce blackfire and get her bred by Mark and kill or conquer anyone who gets in the way of your family's power because love is worth it

Now I'm curious how she should look. I don't want her to be the stereotypical supermodel, and I think a relationship coach is too on the nose. But maybe some kind of therapist would work. I'll think about it.

How bout a fitness trainer? Chosen by Lex. So allowed to be a little superhuman but no one figures out the deeper truth to it

I was going to say yoga instructor but that works pretty perfectly too. I also like the idea that she's been trying to get him a girlfriend for awhile but he keeps seeing through it, yet he thinks she's just a quirky college student completely unaware of her true nature.

A fitness instructor into dancing yes but also sparring. Combat trainer. Let aphrodite show how sex is connected to war and bloodshed. Deadly yoga

That's fun. Plus it actually ties in with Lex's character. Something that isn't talked about enough with him is that he's a bit of a training maniac. Not just with the brain but with his body, pushing it to its limits, getting sparring with various mercenary and martial art instructors. Since in his mind he wants to show what the pinnacle of humanity can do.

Lex has body ego issues. And so in comes a dancing and combat instructor who becomes a good friend to Debbie who encourages her as things go on. Consoling her in her relationship with Mark and growing lust and romance with Blackfire her adopted daughter and Mark's girlfriends Kara and Eve

This scene sums it up pretty good, even though my version of Lex wouldn't be nearly as bad thanks to his friendship with Nolan.
