Questionable Questing

These ones after the loss of many fathers to death or being turned into femboy wenches, started to recreate their society along the queen's ideals. Wilding girls and women born and raised to be betrothed to their kin with a focus on powerful close knit clans of wildlings where you have mothers and daughetrs and sisters serving consorts to keep the men loyal and the family bound.

Interesting. I'm curious now how Ned has been managing them so far. Obviously he isn't rising up whole new noble houses or building castles, and is probably pretty lenient on taxes or tithes so far. But he does technically rule over them now and he does need to start showing his authority over this land in a way that doesn't require killing people.
Andy333
Andy333
More than just having them swear to him, Ned's probably starting to help divide the lands between the various tribes, probably setting up a similar clan system they already have in the north with the mountain tribes to help create a clear line of who's in charge, plus he's probably started to weigh in and settle various disputes.

Ned gave the wildings to Hurik in Moat Calin to manage.

I'm trying to think of any economic stuff he can help with or that could be used to pay taxes, but too be honest most tribes can't even smelt bronze let alone any other artisan goods. Their too close to substance living to focus on anything more than hunting or forging for survival. Maybe cattle or sheep? Like you said, if they start developing their own magic that could eventually lead to new trade goods?
Andy333
Andy333
Well Ned's obviously leaving most of it too Hurrik, but he would be stupid not to at the very least keep an eye out or interfere when he needs to.
Andy333
Andy333
Also, I'm loling at the mental image of Ned looking at the amount of paperwork and bullshit he would have to deal with to somehow make the Wildling's functional houses and develop their lands properly while probably dealing with a resistance cell doing guerilla warfare in the background and immediately dumping that on to his Nephew to deal with.

Powerful magical women are praised in the Clans because of how Lyanna is a totem hero. She's become a role model to a broken people looking for anything to give them new meaning after loosing the freedom that defined them

Will be interesting to see a church of Lyanna develop and have Hurrik, being her son and thus a living saint or God in their mind, help develop their scripture and doctrine. Could have some pretty fun scenes of Hurrik banging his mom in front of a fanatic crowd while shouting out vaguely religious lines and maybe whipping or branding her a little.

Plus there's the gameplay potential of a Lyanna church faction. On one hand being your most loyal supporters, quite literally willing to kill themselves on your command, but on the other hand totally alienating and freaking out every other faction. Not to mention how pissed off the old gods and various other gods will be at a mortal claiming godhood.
Andy333
Andy333
Gives the players an interesting choice of the most potential power and control by empowering this faction at the expense of making enemies with everyone else and destabilizing your realm.

Old Gods don't care. Powerful mage becoming a god is standard. The issue here is while they like Lyanna as a hero figure. Hurik is more complicated. He's the one who defeated them. They both respect and dislike him

Every religion needs a Satan, and the funny thing about Satan is that while we're set up to hate him and everything he stands for, people can't help but be fascinated and a lot of time sympathetic to him and his goals. There's a fun dichotomy that could be found with Lyanna the savior and her son the destroyer, how they love each other even when on the surface they oppose each other.

I like that. I like that a lot
