Probably as an unthinking killing machine. The very pinnacle of Viltrum supremacy and he has no family, no art, nothing outside of slaughter. Basically a representation of where they'll end up if Thragg stays in control. Just mindless weapons lashing out for reasons they don't even care about anymore.
I'll use a little bit, in the sense that he's desperately alone and at the back of his head has the gnawing sensation that maybe he could be more than this mindless beast, but I think with the world building with the clan system and the hypersexuality in response to the virus just doesn't mix well with the show version of Conquest.
He would've had a harem and maybe even a family in the past, that he deliberately abandoned to be the weapon he is today and to help fulfill Thragg's ambition. He can't cry about something he willingly gave up, so no matter how much he's secretly hurting he refuses to admit that because then he would have to admit he was wrong about a lot of other things in his life.
I like that idea. He left a concept of home for conquest and now he is but conquest. Have him be a repeated foe of Mark during the war.
Superman vs Conquest after Conquests beats Omiman and Mark to a pulp
He's also definitely getting a buff though from the show and the comic. Mark beating Conquest, who's one of the oldest and most dangerous Viltrum, but then getting beaten by Anissa never sat right with me. This is going to be a guy Nolan will get whooped by, let alone Mark.
But Superman vs Conquest? The first time they fight Superman will get hurt pretty bad because he'll underestimate him, Superman's not used to fighting with all of his strength and his holding back a lot out of fear of civilian casualties which is something Conquest will ruthlessly take advantage of, and just generally the level of brutality is not something any of the Justice League will handle very well.
Basically Conquest will be the wake up call, about how maybe they should take Nolan seriously when he was trying to warn them of the threat Viltrum represented. But the second or third time Superman fights Conquest, he'll come out on top or get a close call.
But for Batman, he'll have a Bane moment where the first battle will absolutely wreck him and require several months to fully recover, even with magic and alien technology speeding along the healing, along with a couple prosthetics potentially. With Bruce having a bit of a crisis of faith afterwards at how dramatically outclassed he is.
About how he used to think if he worked hard enough or was smart enough even a normal guy could go up against gods, and the Viltrum showed there were just some barriers you just can't cross. With Superman, the Robins, Wonder Woman all trying to convince him to keep fighting, with Luther of all people eventually getting to him.
With Luther giving him the speech about how Batman's one of the smartest people on the planet and instead of using that big brain to find a weapon or a strategy to beat them, he decided to get into a fist fight with a bear. Referencing the old joke about how if you put an Army ranger and a bear in a forest, you get a dead bear.
With afterwards, Batman moving to an Oracle role for the war and experimenting with drones. But he'll get a scene or two where he gets to do some Batman stuff.
Maybe. I was kind of leaning towards him and robot coordinating an army of robots that screech in a specifical tone that blow out Viltrum ear canals. But Ironbat could be fun too.
