Shoot I forgot about that. I went to the movies today, saw the Accountant, and by the time I got back I was pretty tired and just chilled for a couple of hours. It sucks but with my glasses for whatever reason, watching movies gives me a headache if I do it for too long. Same thing with TV. it's why I kind of have to schedule it out if that makes any sense. Since afterwards my head will hurt.

Maid's aren't for everyone. And I like it. It was your standard spy movie shlock in a lot of ways, although with a deeper focus on espionage and investigating rather than action which I appreciated. But the real star was the dynamic between Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal. Both were pretty funny together and the emotional moments only worked so well because of that.

What made it great and read update

Unfortunately can't find more futa. But I'll keep looking. And what made it good, and was a little infuriating not going to lie, is that Aflect is playing someone with autism so he's very robotic, deliberate, and blunt. While Bernthal is very flippent and arrogant. So you have the completely different personalities arguing and bonding, but on the other hand in the movie their brothers.

So there's this very deep understanding between the two of them. Despite Bernthal's attitude, he's surprisingly very patient with his brother and his inability to explain certain concepts or his trouble with reading the room which really humanizes him. While Aflect, is doing a good job showing that he cares about his brother while having trouble connecting and relating with him.

And yeah the robotic part irritated me a little too, but on the other hand I think his issues are a little more severe than Asperger's, so...

So Bernthial isn't being a dick. neat and I wished there was more high functioning autism media. Less robot people

Yeah Bernthal is just a guy very used to punching first and asking questions later, a consequence of being his brother's protector and the fact their father basically groomed them to be super spies since that's the life the father lived. And as he got older, violence and being tough became his escape mechanism to keep from being vulnerable.

But with representation it's one step at a time, you know? Have to take the little victories and use them to get bigger ones. A couple decades ago, autism didn't exist in Hollywood.

We need less Sheldon Coopers. Love the character but he is such a shit version of austism. A parody of its most extremes
