And when she found out that she was slaughtering native born hellspawn and not just sinners it broke her, and adds a nice layer of complexity to her self hatred. That's the background I'm leaning towards. Some kind of healing and child care specifically since those are roles about helping and healing. SOmething she wants to return too with Charlie, but that she doesn't feel worthy of. Ties in with as the cult embraces her as a warrior and Charlie as the healer, it causes her to slowly lose those past memories and self hatred and corrupt into the her girlfriends monster.

I won't know until I start writing it down. Some ideas that sound really good on paper, just don't work well once you actually have to write it and 40k is a very intimidating setting to get right.
