How goes you? Fucking hot as hell for me here in Arizona. We haven't even hit the middle of summer and we're already getting 103 or 105 degree days. Makes everything slower and more exhausting. lol. But I saw the New John Wick. It was actually pretty decent. Not as good as the first, but then again none of them where.

Smut just for smut isn't as interesting as people think. You start to realize there's only so many words you can use to describe a penis or a vagina, and only so many ways or positions to describe the two combining. It's why for my own writing the only way I can make it fun is if I'm finding ways to mix in plot points or relationship musings.

For me one of the reasons I like writing porn so much is that it actually helps me break through some self imposed limits. Since if it's not porn then it's serious, and if it's serious I can't include too much swearing, violence, and have to take it seriously. Or at least used to I'm a lot better now about it now. At the end of the day if I'm not enjoying writing, why bother.

But a SFW novel with that setting? Going to be honest porn seemed pretty integral, or at least the emotions and feelings that came from the casual debauchery seeping into everyday life. You'll need something to replace that, and I'm not a hundred percent sure what could carry the same hook and shock value.

I mean all that's super interesting, but I bring up the casual debauchery in particular because it really gave a lot of shock value. It was just peasants talking about how wonderful rune or potions are, it was farm animal humans. lol. It created a genuinely alien world and culture, and I hope you're able to recreate that feeling.

That was the fun of it. Not the porn, but looking at a completely alien world that looks and feels similar to ours, but once you crack the surface wasn't just a grim dark medieval setting with a spray paint of magic. It was like experiencing Morrowind for the first time and seeing how bonkers a fantasy setting could really go.
