'be' should be 'the'
Should that be 'Lexcorp'?
Google says the proverb is 'As a dog returns to its vomit'. Apparently this is because a dog will eat its vomit even though it likely contains what made it sick in the first place. Replacing vomit with dinner doesn't really make sense.
Part of the reason he didn't contact his alternates for help with the anti-life is because he didn't know how to find them. If he found out Jevek got in contact with both the Lord Protector and the Red Lantern version, would he think of it as a missed opportunity, or that the timing was too late...
Huh, what alternates haven't talked to Jevek yet? The Renegade, obviously. Gold (formerly Anti-Green) Lantern Paul. The Common Sense version. The blue-ringed one on Earth -14. The other Marvel universe one. The one in the Barbie world. The Indigo Lantern in The Boys. The green ringed one already...
Then why does Jevek have a scar that the Lord Protector is the only alternate to have noted, immediately after the chapter in which he was attacked by Raul? Don't say it's just a coincidence.
That also doesn't explain Jevek having Krona's body a year after the crisis when Krono had it for...
My theory from earlier in the episode has been pretty much confirmed: the alternate universes aren't time synchronized.
When the Crisis of Infinite Paul's happened, it was April 2012 on Earth 16.
In the Fallout world, it was early spring 2280.
It was January 2005 in Red Lantern Paul's Teen...
*versions
I noticed early on in this episode that Jevek was only contacting Paul's with orange rings but it was unclear why or if it was on purpose. Now it seems that the other colors were being saved to show the contrast in behavior.
Maybe I'm just confused because I'm unfamiliar with the setting. Why does he say that it isn't essential for recharging then? Or is he also using the Sword for that?
Hm. When he returned from the battle with Krona, he committed himself to making a lantern. At least, I assume that's what he meant when he said he was going to create a more efficient way of recharging his ring. But if he's made a lantern already then this comment doesn't really make sense. Best...
'as' should be 'and'
That makes sense. He has a way to recharge the ring, so what he likely wants most is to become proficient enough with it to no longer live in fear of Viltrumites.
*again
This is Jevek speaking, so his text should be orange.
He seemed to recognize and remember Krona just fine from his haircut alone when the encounter actually happened.
*enough of
I was wondering if we would see Paul's with rings other than orange involved in this episode. Will this alternate believe Jevek if he claims to have made his ring? Maybe if he doesn't notice that Jevek is attuned to avarice.
Edit: Then again, I keep forgetting that Jevek hasn't...
It's a saying about fanfiction: if you give Frodo Harry Potter a lightsaber you have to give Sauron Voldemort the Death Star. It's not literal (I haven't seen any fanfic that makes it literal anyway), it just means that if you're going to give the protagonist extra power, you need to make the...
