The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.
I wish I was better at reading into things. If nothing else, it would probably immensely improve my ability to read older literature, looking for the themes underneath all of the...denseness.
I guess I read wide more than I read deep - making connections to other things rather than really...
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Also, ouch. Taylia only really showed up for a chapter and a half, but she made an impact. It was a good note to go out on. Although...
...it wouldn't be Amelia if the happy ending wasn't surrounded on all sides by cosmic fridge horror...
It takes a village. ...or a planet. ...or several planets.
("Raise" isn't a perfect term, since, as a clone, she'd likely pop out already mostly grown. But I'm pretty sure she'd be Pantheon's collective child.)
To be fair, the Entities are also trying to help life survive past the heat death of the universe. The fact that they intend for that life to specifically be themselves, well...it's a bit fuzzy. In canon, I think the point was to compare the Entities to Cauldron: so focused on the big picture...
That's...kind of poetic, actually. It was Jack Slash that brought Taylor and Amelia together, kicking this whole sequence of events off, bringing Taylia - the first of the power bonds - and then Avalon into existence. And now it's what Jack Slash's shard learned from him that will allow that...
[X] Amelia
It's still her story, and she's the one that's been putting more thought into this. Feels like natural progression to keep following her viewpoint now.
So Akaihana's worked closely enough with at least Vicky to be on a first-name basis. Nice.
...and yet, Vicky either hasn't figured out the reason for that discomfort in two years' time, or she's being willfully ignorant because she doesn't want to dwell on the fact that it's probably her fault...
That's...new. Apparently trying to edit the post did fuck up the formatting, not just...display the formatting like I thought it did. Should be fixed now.
Someone beat me to it, but yeah, this shouldn't be nearly as creepy as it is. Stupid power-bond that caused this wedding to happen in the first place reminding us that the wedding wouldn't have happened without it. Grr.
Oh, right, Dinah's power sees the clones as extensions of the same person...
...oh god dammit. Traded one missed detail for another. Ah well.
(Also, to touch on a since-passed topic: the Queen Administrator doesn't understand how to birds and bees. It did bees and then, eventually, went back and did birds. In canon, anyway.)
Huh. I suppose Endbringer battles do tend to have a pretty high likelihood of Trump triggers, don't they? Also, having a significant other tends to help you notice the inherent suck of eternal youth faster than you normally would. Also also, the fact that she's actually 35 makes all of the...
Requirements for wielding that middle name: being badass enough to pull off this song as your entrance music.
...and Taylor passes that test with flying colors. Long live Taylor Danger Hebert.
(Speaking of extremely metal things, Taylor's wedding dress should be made out of Quetzelcoatl's...
I'm not sure which is funnier - that Sophia thinks she can take Khepri (seriously, a single Shadowcat would probably be a match for Shadow Stalker, let alone the size of the swarm she can bring to bear), or that she thinks teaming up with other people makes you weak. Setting aside the fact that...
Fuck, it's only been a year since the Butcher fiasco went down? Even with the time skips? Eesh. It feels like forever - and I only found this fic about a month ago.
Taking the reverse of the normal meaning of "yes" in this context - 'and' instead of 'or' - means something both batshit insane...
If it hadn't already been made very clear what Emma's faking, this would sound really ominous. Actually, it still sounds pretty ominous.
It's funny how the "ideal" result for an artificial intelligence in fiction tends to be the emulation of a human brain. I'm not sure whether it's ego or a...
I'm assuming this is one of those "the fact that they're not reacting more to this should be extremely creepy" moments. I don't catch most of the subtler ones that have been mentioned, but the fact that Amelia is so blase about being compared to the fucking Simurgh is pretty darn creepy. Even an...
...I've lost track, is taste one of the (standard human) senses that Emma actually still has?
Yes. Communication good. Talking good: I don't think the link can quite cover all of this yet.
