True but it's not going to be easy to steal if it takes heavy machinery tk move.Yeah, definitely seems like it's going to be an amusing story to follow. Especially when you consider just what this Tinker power means in the context of Worm.
Namely the fact that Emily and her tinkertech is going to be at the centre of so many fights to maintain control over it. Hell, it might even be fierce enough that Mannequin doesn't see any need to remove her as an 'improve the world' Tinker. Just due to how much collateral impact what she can do causes the world.
Because sure, it's not efficient. Yeah, it's also going to be comparatively slow I suspect and definitely blowing mass budgets out the window. But what she's doing here is the equivalent of producing Battletech Ragnarok Proofed industry which, considering Earth Bet can be argued is undergoing a slow Ragnarok before things really kick off, is invaluable. Particularly as it appears that once she's made the machine, she no longer needs to be involved with it.
Thus making it so stealing the machines, running to the other side of the country and then exploiting it for all it's worth is a perfectly valid strategy.
K: Eh. Emmy's still learning. Power armor's out, but that's not necesssarily the only option she's got.Okay yeah, that's a pretty damn potent weakness that wasn't mentioned so far: the fact that her gear is more or less only going to be as good as mundane stuff outside of it's endurance, durability and reliability. Which means that she is exceedingly squishy for a Tinker because her personal defences that anyone trying to deal with a Tinker would be prepared for are decided non-personal. Yet another way to balance things out.
TANK TANK TANK.K: Eh. Emmy's still learning. Power armor's out, but that's not necesssarily the only option she's got.
If thats the case then create a concreate to cover the base in a durable coating capable of withstanding forced entry attempts. Fortiy the hell out of the base and develop robots to dismantle or scavange for resources around the bay and try to create an automation process for automatic sentry guns.K: Eh. Emmy's still learning. Power armor's out, but that's not necesssarily the only option she's got.
After mulling it over for a bit, Director Piggot opted to authorize the purchase of two hundred flashlights and fifty radios.
"Yes, this is Anthony Brown with the PRT. We've decided to purchase four hundred flashlights and fifty radios. How quickly can you get those to us?"
I feel like I should point this out but most engineers don't build things to last as long as they can on purpose as it's bad for business. They build things to last only a certain amount of time so people will come back to them eventually and buy more and they can stay in business because if they design things to last as long as they could they'd end up with like light bulbs and other things that would last like 120 years or more.
C: Nah. That was just a goof on our end. We'll fix it.I can't help but wonder if the discrepancy in flashlight order numbers here are significant or not...
No, this is wrong.I feel like I should point this out but most engineers don't build things to last as long as they can on purpose as it's bad for business. There is an easy explanation, say your trigger crippled you and was slowly killing you, so you transferred your brain to a mechanical body, that easily explain the robot body, but still have her be believed to be the tinker. As Armsmaster jogged over to foam Squealer, I couldn't help but groan internally. I had no good way to answer that question. If I admitted to being a robot it would wreck our end-run around the rogue laws. If I said I'd made some sort of anti-concussion tech there would be no good way to reproduce it when asked. I suppose I could refuse to answer? Strictly speaking, I did have a right to remain silent under the fifth amendment.
...I have a feeling Becky would be interested but also that Becky's higher-ups would try to make sure that everyone except the ENE gets those. Whatever insane reason they come up with for doing that.
Except its alot harder to screw the ENE when the manufactor is within their city. Say with RCB cant really interfer to much as it would interfer with their "plan"....I have a feeling Becky would be interested but also that Becky's higher-ups would try to make sure that everyone except the ENE gets those. I basically meant that RCB might well be sympathetic herself (maybe not, hard to say...) but her own higher-ups at Cauldron are likely to see it as ENE trying to get around their funding issues by asking for external support which isn't allowed because of the experiment.Except its alot harder to screw the ENE when the manufactor is within their city. Say with RCB cant really interfer to much as it would interfer with their "plan".
