"Hi!" the blonde girl half-smiled at him, though the emotion did not reach her stark blue eyes...

Thanks for the reminder! I could swear that this was threadmarked automatically...
We also need to remember that Tanya will just adore the fact that the wizards have a SINGLE bank where literally all of their money is located in.Real excited to see where this goes, wonder if Tanya is going to cut a deal with the Goblins since they are only barred from having wands.
Real excited to see where this goes, wonder if Tanya is going to cut a deal with the Goblins since they are only barred from having wands. Could throw an interesting wrench in everyone's plans when the Goblins come out of nowhere and begin another rebellion but with far more momentum than previously seen. It would be at least another manner in which the war would be prolonged as I am sure wizarding Britain at the very least would withdraw all of their forces from the continent as soon as the rebellion broke out since the politicians tend to stick their heads in the sand in universe. As for the other countries I'm not too sure how it would effect them overall. All in all I'm excited to see where this all goes and I do wonder who Tanya is actually related to or how she will be seen in universe.... hell making her the daughter of Grindlewald or at least having people believe it would throw quite some spice into the mix as far as I could see.
Particularly with the mindset of the wizarding world as seen in canon and before then as it would indicate that they would look at Tanya as a hostage and leverage against Grindlewald rather than as her own person free of her father's crimes. But how well that would work out is up for debate I just know that it would piss Tom and Grindlewald off something fierce, probably even Dumbledore as well, it would sort of be interesting if the British ministry turned into the grounds of the infamous duel instead of being on the continent since Dumbledore may want to kill his former lover instead of leaving him to the mercies of Azkaban. That or having all 3 of them team up to prison break Tanya would be an interesting turn of events to say the least, maybe seeing Grindlewald in action would be enough to make Tom at least somewhat conpetent/charismatic.
Jelly.
Though, I do think it was primarily an American thing at the time, maybe.
Huh, I could swear it would be the same there too!!The UK doesn't have that same brand association, and they refer to that dessert as "jelly" or "gelatin".
The term "jelly" in the US is a fruit preserve made out of fruit juice, or very thoroughly blended fruit, as opposed to "jam" which is a preserve made with fruit chunks. In the UK, "jam" refers to both what Americans call "jelly" and "jam".
This has caused a fair amount of confusion, especially around the concept of PB&J sandwiches, as many Brits didn't realize that Americans meant a different thing than what they know as "jelly."
The first orb took a very long time to make. They also had to use resources that won't be so easily replaceable, like a pocket watch and a radio, both things being quite expensive and hard to steal!Oh ho ho! The story continues! I can't wait to see what a terrible duo those two make and how much they will shake Hogwarts, though I have a question... did Tanya not get an orb as well? Or just made one for a 'valuable resource' for loyalty?

So... What are the chances of the eventual shipping of Tom and Tanya? Of, course, fuck do I know what that relationship would actually look like, but they work so well together, and I could see them doing it due to sheer pragmaticism and affinity.
I didn't say now. I said eventually. Tom and Tanya aren't even in puberty yet, I'm thinking more fourth year and up here. Still, Tom has a bit of an obsessive yandere to him, and both eventually marrying even for partially practical reasons is IC, especially in this era where the pressure to do so is high, especially from a political perspective, and will mount ever the moreso post-war to replenish British mages' own depleted numbers. They're not even related by blood!I know I shouldn't expect any different since this is QQ, But Tom has thought of her as his sister MULTIPLE TIMES. Not that I care if it's a sister-brother thing but I just don't think the author is going for that ship right now
