A/N: Special Thanks to Greatkingrat88 for the beta-ing the chapter and his suggestions on areas in need of improvements and touch ups.

At the suggestion of my beta, as fun as tormenting Lelouch with training can be, it's getting old so after this chapter we're skipping six years to something those I've spoken to on space battles and the fourm for this story I've been eager to do.

Anyway enjoy.

Chapter 5

Changing Scenery

A month had passed since Lelouch and Dainsleif had first come to Narukami Island, but all things had to come to an end. During his stay he had trained hard, and befriended many of the people on Watatsumi. Especially Kokomi; as they became closer as friends, she was perhaps his new best friend since Suzaku. Now they were on a ship headed to the island that would be their new home until everything in Fontaine was ready for them. After docking, C.C, Dainsleif, Siegfried- who carried Nunnally- and Lelouch were walking a trail that would lead them to their destination on the northeastern side of the island.

I have to say, Narukami Island is larger than I expected, Lelouch thought.

C.C. had chosen a new outfit for the occasion: black shorts, black boots, a white coat over a dark shirt, and long fingerless gloves with armor plates on the forearms. At her hip rested a weapons belt, carrying a short sword in its sheath. Across her back hung holsters for two muskets, designed to fire air bullets, using her Ameno element. Hanging from her belt was a fake Amemo Vision, with the Fontaine-style frame around it.

As the group walked through Chinju Forest, a wooden area with a serene ambience to it, located near the foot on one side of the island's tallest mountain. As they entered, day seemed to turn into night, an unseen moon providing a strange, ambient light.

"What is this place?" Lelouch said, furrowing his brows. It seemed… unnatural.

"Don't worry. This is normal for Chinju Forest," Dainsleif said reassuringly.

"A forest where day becomes night is normal?" Lelouch asked skeptically.

"I don't know how or why, but there are some legends and myths. Most importantly, it is perfectly safe to travel this forest. Many travelers have passed it on their way to the Grand Narukami Shrine," Dainsleif explained. Lelouch still looked around him nervously. Their story about the forest's unusual nature didn't do much to put him at ease. However, something in the distance drew his attention. He saw what appeared to be a tanuki, dancing on its hind legs. Lelouch paused, rubbing his eyes to check if he was seeing things, but when he looked again the tanuki was gone.

"What is it?" C.C. asked.

"I thought I saw something." Lelouch said hesitantly.

"Jumping at shadows, are we?" C.C. teased.

"No, I am really sure I saw something in the distance," Lelouch insisted.

"Let's keep moving," Dainsleif said firmly.

"...fine," Lelouch muttered. Still uncertain, he followed the group along. He had left Watatsumi Island and most importantly Kokomi behind. It was a different feeling to when he left Japan and his world. There had not been much tying him to his past, only pain and suffering left behind. But the people of Watatsumi had been kind to him. Making friends with the hair apparent had left an impression. He had never had a friend who had shared his interest in military history, in tactics and strategy.

And just as Kokomi had learned a lot from him, Lelouch in turn had learned much about warfare in Teyvat, at least from Inazuma's corner of the world. He still wondered what warfare and tactics of the other nations were like; even the Nation of War known as Natlan intrigued him. Wrapped up in such sentimental thought, his sadness at moving on from Watatsumi Island left him aching.

I know I could visit, but…

Lelouch was silent for the rest of the journey to their destination, trying to process and deal with his thoughts. But Nunnally had some questions.

"So, who are these people we are going to again?"

"You'll be staying with the Kamisato Clan. They are one of the three great clans that leads one of the three branches of Inazuma's government, known as the Tri-Commission. The Kamisato Clan are the leaders of the Yashiro Commission, the branch of Inazuma's government that handles most public events, such as the oversight and organization of festivals, ceremonies. That includes all of Inazuma's religious affairs too," Dainsleif explained.

"So they handle all public relations. Do they handle the businesses too?"

"That would be the Kanjou Commission, which handles customs, border security and oversees Inazuma's economy. Currently they are being led by the Hiiragi Clan, who live atop a hill in the port town of Ritou," Dainsleif replied, raising an eyebrow at Nunnally subtly, realizing that she hadn't been paying attention in their lessons and discussion about Inazuma. The way the girl shifted on Siegfried's back indicated that she recognized this as well, much to her embarrassment.

"Since we're on the subject- Lelouch, can you tell me what the last commission is and which clan leads it?" Siegfried asked, hoping to spare Nunnally from any possible scrutiny.

"Oh, um," Lelouch said, shaken from his reveries. "Uhhh… that would be the Tenryou Commission, right? The largest of the three commissions, and Inazuma's military arm that includes the police force. The current clan leading it is…" he paused, thinking hard. "The… Kujou Clan?"

"Good lad! Glad to know someone was paying attention," Dainsleif said, playfully teasing Nunnally, causing her cheeks to redden in further embarrassment.

"One thing you didn't mention was why this family and not any of the other clans," Lelouch said, coming to his sister's rescue.

"I suppose I didn't," Dainsleif replied with a smile. "Aside from its duties to the public, the Kamisato clan also commands the Shuumatsuban, a ninja corps that is effectively Inazuma's intelligence agency. They handle espionage, reconnaissance, and other clandestine operations that ensure the safety of Inazuma by dealing with any potential threats behind the scenes. I recall your world has ninjas as well, so I think you should understand the rest of what that entails."

"Right. Japanese shinobi did pretty much the same kind of thing. So they are very similar then?"

"Yes. Some do have Visions that can enhance their combat abilities, their other skills of their trade, or both. In fact, we are being quietly observed by them right now. Ever since what happened on Inazuma with the Abyss Order, they've kept an eye on you two," Dainsleif admitted.

Lelouch was shocked. "They were watching all this time? I never noticed."

"They wouldn't be very good at their jobs if you'd spotted them," Siegfried said dryly.

"That explains your relationship with them. You share useful intelligence on the Abyss Order with them and in turn they share anything of use to you, don't you?"

Dainsleif smiled, pleased Lelouch caught on quickly. "That is right. My own contacts have also been useful to them in other ways, so it's been a mutually beneficial relationship."

"That explains a few things. How much does the clan know?" Lelouch asked, lightly worried about being eavesdropped on.

"They know what they need to know. Their leadership is aware about you and your sister's true backgrounds. If you recall, they were the ones I enlisted to forge and prepare the false backgrounds of you and your sister, you being children of parents from Fontaine, whose parents died in a mining accident on one of the islands. Only those who were necessary to help craft that background and everything with it are in the know," Dainsleif replied reassuringly.

"Right. And I suppose our new outfits match our background," Lelouch remarked, looking at himself.

Since they were going to be meeting the head of one of Inazuma's most notable clans, it had been decided for Nunnally and Lelouch to dress accordingly. He now wore a black jacket, a white shirt, simple matching pants, black boots, black fingerless gloves and and his fake Electro Vision fastened to a belt. Nunnally wore a pink and red dress, similar in design, with white tights and pink boots along with a new matching bow on her head. Her Vision hung from a pink sash around her belt.

It took an hour to clear the forest and almost a half-hour more to get to the Kamisato Estate, a mansion complex with a tall wall surrounding the estate, and some trees dotting the area around it that sat upon a cliff at the foot of Mount Yougou with a view of the ocean.

Outside the gate were a pair of guards, wearing segmented armor reminiscent of the samurai. They stood to attention, holding their spears upright. Seeing them only made Lelouch wonder once again if it was an unbelievable coincidence or something else, the way Inazuma seemed to match Japanese history.

"Hold!" One of the guards said, stepping forward.

"I am Sir Dainsleif, and this is my party. The Yashiro Commissioner is expecting us," Dainsleif said, producing an envelope from the folds of his clothes, handing it to the guard, who opened it.

"This seems to be in order. You are expected, the commissioner is inside waiting for you. Please proceed," The guard replied as he and his comrade stepped aside.

"Thank you," Dainsleif said, leading Lelouch and the others inside the Kamisato Estate. As they entered, they saw a beautiful scene; a large, ornate pavilion that had looked like the main house from the outside, but the actual house was actually to the left. Between the buildings and the walls was a neatly made stone path that led to the pavilion and to a smaller area which Lelouch assumed was a place for outdoor meetings and handing out assignments. To the right Lelouch caught a glimpse of a zen rock garden, like the one he had seen at the Kuruguri estate once, and a breathtaking view of Inazuma City.

Heading up the steps into the pavilion, the group turned left, heading for the main house of the estate, where another pair of guards waited. This time they stepped aside to allow the group entry, but not without gesturing to leave any bags carrying the luggage belonging to Lelouch and Nunnally behind at the door.

"Don't worry, sir. Your things will be taken care of," the guard offered reassuringly.

Dainsleif nodded in understanding, and they left their belongings there.

It seemed almost excessive, how well guarded the place was. If not for him being head of his nation's intelligence agency this might've been a bit much for someone who oversees all cultural and ceremonial affairs, Lelouch mused.

Once inside, they reached a main hall that could house a large meeting of people. The interior matched what he had seen in Japan at the Kururugi Estate, except much of the walls were purple with the emblem of the clan prominent. There was a small table with a shogi board on top of it, and cushions on the floor. Behind the table, a young man of seventeen was seated, sipping tea. He wore a white suit that seemed to be a combination of Japanese ascetics and the western style, a golden sash around his waist and another hanging off his neck. He had pale skin, shoulder-length light blue hair, and light purple eyes.

"Ah so this is the young child you've told me about. I've looked forward to meeting you and his sister," the young man said, setting down his tea cup. "Greetings, travelers. I am Kamisato Ayato, head of the Kamisato Clan and the Yashiro Commissioner."

"Thank you for seeing us, clan head. Most importantly, thank you for your assistance in hiding them," Dainsleif, sitting down on the cushion opposite Ayato.

"Not at all. You have been a great help to our family's efforts against the Abyss Order and other dangerous groups. You have served our house and our nation well. It was the least I could do," Ayato replied.

"I offer my thanks regardless," Dainsleif replied.

"But perhaps the children would be better off settling in," Ayato replied before clapping his hands. "Thoma, would you mind helping Lelouch and his sister to their accommodations?"

"At once, my lord."

Lelouch looked over his shoulder, to see a young man with short blond hair and green eyes, wearing a red nagagi. He stood out from his appearance as much as the fact that he was about the same age as Lelouch.

"Come on, I can carry your sister to where she'll be staying. Your things should've been moved to your new rooms by now," Thoma offered with a cheerful smile.

"Very well," Lelouch said, as Siegfried helped Thoma carry the young girl with the former prince following.

"Very subtle way to have them leave while we can talk more freely," C.C. complemented.

"Considering what they've been through, I thought it best not to have them worry any further. I can tell they are adapting well to our world, but I am sure Lelouch must have some lingering concerns," Ayato commented.

"Indeed," Siegfried said in agreement.

"Now then, would you two like to tell me more about the Geass Order and Britannia, then we can go over what we've prepared so far and what needs to be done still?" Ayato said, beginning the meeting.

Meanwhile, Thoma led Lelouch to Nunnally's room, gently placing the young girl on the bed, allowing her a chance to relax. Together, he and Lelouch worked to unpack Nunnally's things.

"Is there anything we should know while we are staying here?" Lelouch asked.

Thoma shrugged. "You are a guest of our house. Just act accordingly- be polite, don't overstep, and let us take care of your needs. Don't worry too much about formalities. Since this is a private residence, Ayato doesn't care much for it unless he has official business to take care of," Thoma offered, hoping to put Lelouch at ease. "I know some people think he can be intimidating, but he is one of the nicest men I've known. His family took me in when I got shipwrecked coming to Inazuma to look for my father."

"You're not from Inazuma?" Nunnally asked curiously.

Thoma just laughed. "Well, blonde hair isn't something you'd normally see among the people here. I am actually from Mondstadt. My mother was from there, and that's where I grew up until I decided to look for my father in Inazuma, after he decided to return."

Lelouch listened, unsure of how to feel about the young man's openness.

"I never did find my father, despite trying my best. Ayato and his sister took me in when they found me on the beach below the estate, so I've stuck with them ever since."

Quite a story- and that was only the short version. Lelouch wondered how much he had been through.

"Ayato has a sister?" Nunnally asked.

"Yes, her name is Ayaka. She is about my age. She was busy with lessons in etiquette this morning, but you'll probably see her by this afternoon," Thoma answered.

"Or right now," a new voice chimed in, feminine and light. Standing at the doorway was a young girl. She had the same hair color as Ayato but longer, tied into a long top-knot ponytail tied with a pink ribbon. Her eyes were light blue-gray, and she had the same pale complexion as her older sibling, wearing a light blue furisode and a white yukata over it.

"Hello everyone, and welcome to our house. I am Kamisato Ayaka. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Hello, I am Nunnally."

"Likewise. I am Lelouch, Lady Ayaka," Lelouch said, offering his hand to greet Ayaka.

"Please there is no need for formalities within this mansion," Ayaka said, shaking Lelouch's hand. "I just hope you'll be comfortable here."

"I am sure we will be, but thank you for your family's hospitality," Lelouch remarked.

"Not at all. As I am sure my brother mentioned, my family owes Mr. Dainsleif for his help," Ayaka replied. "I am free the rest of the day. Would you be interested in a game of Go?"

"Of course. I assume the game is the same as the one I am thinking of," Lelouch replied, intrigued.

He had played the game a few times with Suzaku, the game being a two-player abstract strategy board game. The objective is for players to control more territory on the board than their opponent, which they would accomplish by surrounding empty intersections or territory with the player's own stones, and to capture their opponent's stones by surrounding them. Suzaku had lost to him many times, such games not being his strong suit. If the game was the same then Lelouch would have no problem playing.

"So the Britannian Emperor commands a secret sect of operatives known as the Geass Order, also known as the Directorate," Ayato said, sipping from a tea cup.

"It's more of a cult. They have considerable resources and many members with different cells spread out, with the headquarters changing when the leadership changes," Siegfried explained

"What is constant is that the Order collects orphans from all corners of the empire, especially the ghettos of conquered Areas, to use as new recruits to be raised and indoctrinated as agents. Each one is granted a Geass, but its ability and effectiveness is dependent on the user, since there is no telling what it could be. Some are quite useful to the order, others not so much," C.C. added.

"I see," Ayato said, his eyes narrowing in disapproval. They didn't have to say it; he could well imagine what an organization like that might do to their failed experiments.

"Aside from pursuing their goal of completing the Ragnarok Connection, they also deal with anyone who poses an obstacle to their agenda, especially those who oppose the Emperor."

"Dispatching them to ensure the Emperor's hands remain clean, I am sure," Ayato said. C.C. nodded.

"Yes. They dealt with political problems that couldn't be silenced through other means, but V.V. no doubt crossed a line when he killed the only consort the Emperor favored," Siegfried mused, while Dainsleif remained quiet.

"Those poor children. It's a wonder Lelouch is as well adjusted as he is, and poor Nunnally, having to suffer for it… how could their father do this to them? Had he no love for his own children, to cast them away into a distant land which he would go on to invade anyway? I am glad to hear their time on Watatsumi Island was far better than their name in Japan. I am hopeful we can continue that trend here."

"That is my hope," Dainsleif nodded.

"Of course," Ayato smiled knowing before taking another sip from his tea, perhaps suspecting there was more to Dainsleif's decision to seek his help.

"Then it's agreed. C.C. and I will leave for Liyue, from where we'll conduct missions with the Adventures Guild to begin amassing Mora for our own living experiences, and to help set up everything needed for Fontaine," Siegfried said, going over a plan that had been in the works. "Dainsleif will stay in Inazuma to look after Lelouch and continue his training, including Nunnally's efforts to master her Vision."

"I could help when I am available, and Ayaka could use a good sparring partner for her own training in our family's style of swordplay," Ayato said, eager to help.

"Thank you. I just hope all of the information we provided on the Geass Order will be helpful," Siegfried said, with a hopeful smile.

"It is. We now know what to expect from Geass users, and can begin taking steps to identify them, should they appear in Inazuma," Ayato replied.

Meanwhile, Ayaka and Lelouch began their next game of Go. Ayaka had not only proven herself far better at the game than Suzaku, but a match for Lelouch himself. She held four wins against Lelouch's six, with Thoma explaining the progress of the game to Nunnally.

"Another close game," Thoma said. "They're neck and neck now. Could be Ayaka tying the score, could be Lelouch pulling ahead.

"You can do it brother. Try to get a winning streak!" Nunnally cheered.

"You are quite good at this game. You should consider challenging my brother when he isn't busy," Ayaka complimented, brows furrowed as she contemplated her next move..

"Thank you. You are pretty good yourself."

As much as Lelouch welcomed an intellectually stimulating challenge, his mind couldn't help but drift. Ayato was an interesting character; rather young to be an important government official. And with no parents in sight- what had happened there?

"Your move, Lelouch."

"Ah," Lelouch said, his thoughts returning to the moment. "Good move."

"So Ayaka, do you know if Lelouch will still be training here?" asked Nunnally.

"I don't think it's a question of whether I will or not, just what kind of training I should expect," Lelouch said with a feeling of dread, making his next move.

"I am not sure what Mr. Dainsleif has in mind, but I know you will become my sparring partner for my swordsmanship training," Ayaka remarked as she contemplated her next move.

"Sparring partner?" Nunnally remarked. "Will my brother be okay?"

Ayaka giggled, "Don't worry, I am still a beginner. From what I hear, your brother is around the same level."

"I'll go easy on you," Lelouch said sarcastically. If his past experiences had taught him anything, everyone and their grandmother could handle a sword better than him.

The following morning…

Damn it, Lelouch thought, as Ayaka knocked the training blade out of his hands, sending him to the ground. He grunted with pain where he lay, rubbing the back of his hand. Even wearing training garb, with protective equipment including a mask and helmet to protect him, that had still hurt.

"I am sorry, Lelouch. I guess I got carried away," Ayaka said, offering her hand to help Lelouch back onto his feet.

Carried away? Lelouch thought. I could barely see you!

Ayaka had claimed she was a beginner, but it seemed that term had been used in a very relative sense. She had launched herself at him lightning fast, the former prince having little time to defend. It had been over before it had even had time to begin. Every swing had been precise; any attempt to counterattack or escape had been shut down, her wooden sword already in striking distance, deflecting every attack and cutting off any escape.

She's either a natural at this, or she took her training very seriously, Lelouch thought, quietly impressed despite the embarrassment.

"It seems you have a long way to go, before you can spar with Ayaka, it seems," Dainsleif commented, watching from the sidelines. Lelouch looked at Dainsleif with a scowl on his face, but knew better than to talk back.

"Giving me that look won't change the fact that your combat skills need more work," the knight said mildly.

"It's not going to change overnight," Lelouch replied, nursing his wounded pride.

"True. Say, it can't all be swordplay, and you need a break. Why don't we take a visit to the shrine tomorrow?"

"The Grand Narukami Shrine?" Ayaka inquired.

"The one at the top of the mountain next to us?" Lelouch asked. Dainsleif nodded.

"Yes, the top of Mt. Yougou. Be ready at dawn," Dainsleif said, before walking away.

"I am sure my instructor will be willing to help you," Ayaka offered.

"I am not too worried about that, and I appreciate it, but.."

"But?"

"I am worried about what Dainsleif has planned. I get the feeling it will be anything but a simple hike," Lelouch said, eyeing Dainsleif suspiciously.

At least I won't be dealing with Siegfried for a while. That man makes too many questionable decisions for my liking, Lelouch thought.

Meanwhile, C.C. and Siegfried were crossing the wooden bridge leading into Liyue Harbor. One of the busiest ports in Teyvat and Liyue's economic and trading hub, the harbor held over a dozen ships. Some were small fishing and transport ships while others were larger, with different designs and styles signifying their foreign origin.

This place reminds me of the old towns and cities in the Chinese Federation. Much of the architecture seems similar, C.C. observed.

Liyue's buildings, especially the Fudian roofing style, were near identical, as were the paper lanterns, making C.C. feel as if she was walking back in time, similar to when she saw Inazuma City herself not too long ago. Even the clothing and style was similar. The green-haired immortal saw a man walking alongside his young daughter dressed in a light tan Tang suit.

She had seen Liyue Harbor once before, but only from a distance. This time she was walking among them as she and Siegfried passed through the busy marketplace near the harbor. There were many wooden stalls selling everything you would expect from food like fruits, vegetables and fish to stalls that sold seemingly everything else like clothing, tools, and jewelry.

After making their way through the crowded marketplace of the docks, they ascended a long flight of stone stairs, Feiyun Slope, the heart of Liyue Harbor and its merchant district with notable stores such as Mingxing Jewelry and Wanwen Bookhouse. The buildings loomed large around them with bridges connecting the floors above to other businesses situated above.

I'd rather we finish our business soon. Compared to Inazuma, Liyure Harbor is more densely packed with people, and much busier, C.C. thought.

Crossing another bridge, the pair headed southeast for Chihu Rock, the lower class district of the city. It had its own shops, restaurants, tea houses as well as markets. But their destination was near the edge of the city, elevated upon a small hill with bricks supporting the small building: the Adventurers' Guild. Ascended the wooden stairs, they approached the young woman staying behind the counter of the guild. She had short black hair, fair skin, gray-blue eyes dressed in a white dress with a black corset, green accents and sleeves, a red bow on the back and a bonnet on top of her head.

"Ad astra abyssosque! Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild," the girl greeted.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Katheryne," Siegfried began before handing the young woman a pair of handbooks. "We're looking for commissions, do you have any? Please have a look at our papers, proving we are both adventures of the guild and what we can do," he said, handing two small notebooks to the young woman.

Katheryne nodded, accepting the two handbooks. She opened one at a time, reading over the contents. Once she was finished she returned both Adventure Handbooks to Siegfried, who gave C.C. her handbook back.

"Seeing the commissions you have finished, we do have a job that might just be right for seasoned adventurers such as yourselves," Katheryne said, handing Siegflied an envelope. "You'll find the details inside. Once the commission is done, report back for your compensation."

"Thank you. We'll return as soon as the job is done."

Once they were finished, Siegfried and C.C. departed the city, taking the bridge out of town and heading west down a road that would take them past the mountains through a pass with Mt. Tianheng in the middle. After making sure no one was around, C.C. said,

"Seasoned adventurers? Isn't this our first time?"

"The friend I met with has connections with their main headquarters, and he was able to provide us with Adventure Handbooks from our country of origin to better fit the false backstories for both of us," Siegfried replied.

"Really now? In exchange for what?"

"Confidential. Part of our agreement, sorry," Siegfried replied dismissively. C.C. glared at him. Lelouch wasn't alone in being wary of Siegfried and his decision making skills.

The following morning Dainsleif took point, leading Lelouch and Ayaka as the group headed up the trail leading to the Grand Narukami Shrine. As Lelouch expected, this was no straightforward excursion. Their journey to the shrine itself began easily through, but as they ascended the dirt pathway, they noticed the path seemed to loop around the mountain itself. There the first sign of trouble lay ahead, the pathway giving way to a red wooden bridge that went under an outcropping of rocks that no doubt provided shelter from the rain, however parts of the path seemed to have broken apart.

The path as a whole seemed safe to cross, but a noise from below drew Lelouch's attention. He couldn't see what was below, but he remembered the sounds the monsters he encountered on Watatsumi Island made.

"Are those Hilichurls?"

"Yes, they usually hide under the bridge, waiting for someone to carelessly walk off the bridge," Ayaka answered, placing a reassuring hand on Lelouch's shoulder. "Just stay on the bridge and we'll be fine. I've never heard of them actually going up on it."

"Why are they left alone then? They're dangerous," Lelouch muttered uneasily.

"Hilichurls always come back, no matter how many times they are killed. It's not worth the effort," Dainsleif replied. "They know no one would drive them off as long as they make no effort to attack anyone on the bridge. They stay on their turf, we stay on ours."

"They just wait for someone to fall off?" Lelouch asked, to which Dainsleif nodded in reply.

"Let's keep moving," Ayaka said. Without another word, the group kept moving.

Once they cleared the bridge, they reached a pathway that led through the mountain where it began to split into two. At the center, in between the two mountains below was a lake surging with lightning. Lelouch's eyes went wide. The spectacle was out of this world; even though he could see it with his own eyes, he couldn't quite believe it. Even more shockingly, there were large pieces of the mountain hovering in the air, adrift above the lake, each large enough to be a small island.

"What is that?" He managed. "Some kind of electrified lake?"

"Yes. No one knows for sure why, but as far as we know, the lake has always been like that," Ayaka answered.

"Really? It was just there one day?" Lelouch asked, curious.

Ayaka shrugged. "I am sorry. I wish I knew more."

"It's- fine," Lelouch replied, staring at the unreal spectacle.

They followed another path that went around the mountain again, which became narrower as they climbed higher and higher; the hike to the top was going to take a while. Lelouch had lost track of time, but going by where the sun in the sky was, it was close to noon. It had taken them more than three hours to get where they were.

"If you were wondering if there was a faster way to get to the top," Dainsleif remarked, noticing Lelouch was using the position of the sun to figure out what time it was. "There is, but you lack the means to reach the floating islands."

Lelouch tried to imagine how one could scale the mountain using those islands, wondering if the right element might help, or perhaps being creative with it was the way to go. He didn't have much time to think about it, though, because ahead Lelouch noticed a young girl standing by some bushes ahead.

Her clothes look similar to the priestesses of the shrines of Japan and Watatsumi Island? Lelouch thought, assuming she was likely a priestess in training judging by her appearance and youth. She was dressed in the white robes befitting a Shinto priestess, and she had shoulder-length green hair and fair skin. She had her back turned to them, focused on the task of gathering herbs, with a basket hanging over her left arm. As they drew closer, the girl suddenly collapsed. Lelouch and Ayaka hurried over to the collapsed girl. Ayaka turned her over, while Dainsleif knelt down.

"She's still breathing, but she's running a fever," Dainsleif said, after using his hand on her forehead to check her temperature.

"She'll be fine if we can get her inside where she can rest," Ayaka added.

"Thankfully, the shrine is nearby. We don't have to go far," Dainsleif said, before glancing at Lelouch.

"What?!"

Lelouch paled, looking at the stairs that went around the final stretch to the top of the mountain. Knowing the former prince, he had a feeling Dainsleif was going to make him carry the girl.

Ten minutes later the group neared the shrine, climbing up the winding staircase leading to the very top of the mountain. Lelouch's legs trembled with every step; he grit his teeth as he strained under the weight of the priestess- of course Dainsleif had marched him for hours up the mountain, only to force him to carry some random woman right when his legs were about to become jelly.

"Why couldn't you carry her?" Ayaka said. Lelouch was struggling. His legs were quaking, and every step happened out of sheer determination, his muscles screaming in protest. "We could've been at the shrine by now," Ayaka said, but Dainsleif ignored her, to the girl's frustration. Lelouch just grit his teeth, taking deep breaths and putting one foot in front of the other. He was surprised when Dainsleif put a hand on his shoulder, stopping him.

Thankfully the group reached their destination, the Grand Narukami Shrine. While the "grand" part was debatable, it was impressive given the limited space they had to build on. The Shrine was a large red building, decorated with many paper lanterns, a pair of ponds opposite of one another along the main path leading to the shrine proper while passing a stand where, if they were similar to Japanese Shrines, where Lelouch assumed fortune slips were given. It was a single floor structure, built on an elevated platform with sakura trees surrounding it, and one very large Sakura tree behind the main building, two smaller buildings set to the side.

"We're there, kid," he said with a smile. A very familiar face was already at the entrance to greet them.

"Oh dear, I was wondering who was making that noise," Yae Miko said, with an amused expression. "Yet it seems you found my absent shrine maiden. You are working that poor boy to death, Dainsleif," she said with an amused chuckle.

"Shinobu!" an older girl in her late teens cried out. She wore the same attire as the girl on Lelouch's back, and had long brown hair. "Thank you for finding her, I got her."

"No…problem," Lelouch replied weakly. But as soon as Shinobu was off his back, Lelouch promptly collapsed onto his knees.

"Are you alright?" Ayaka said, worried as she knelt down next to Lelouch.

"He'll be fine. In fact, he'll be stronger for it," Dainsleif replied. Ayaka glared at him, while Lelouch tried to mutter something to the effect of 'screw you,' but his voice failed him.

"Why don't you stop torturing him, and let's talk, have tea and give the poor child some rest?" Yae Miko offered sweetly.

"No thank you, this was meant to be a training trip," Dainsleif replied.

"And put this boy through more where he can barely stand? No, I insist you stay, so we can talk," Miko said. There was a sharp edge under her polite tone, and Dainsleif sensed a threat.

"Very well. I trust there is someplace my ward can rest?"

"Of course. He'll be taken care of while we talk," Yae Miko replied with a smile.

A/N: And with that the last chapter of Lelouch as a child, enduring hell. Next chapter Lelouch debuts as Zero, that's right we are skipping six years to open on that.

What kind of conversation did Miko have with them? Well you'll have to wait a bit to find out.

But at least I've finished introducing those who will be long time friend of Lelouch and will have a role to play during events of Inazuma.

As for what events lead to Lelouch having what he got and etc will be elaborated upon in future chapters, sometimes when a character in the know inquires to him.

The new chapter will be posted as soon as my beta finishes with it, so in the meantime I'll be working on my other stories to try and get more out.

Until then have a good day or evening, and I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Uh, as i mentioned on both here and SB, you can utilize Phlogiston storage, as long as they're properly stored within Natlan Specific storage medium, it will work until Depleted, and if you somehow obtain permission to acquire Flame Seed to carry across world, you'll have permanent Phlogiston recharge station, the rest is up to your group to make it mobile.

Then there's Phlogiston Application. As mentioned in-game, Phlogiston is Primordial Power manifest, they're what the C-World floating in around, just in different flavors. Of course, C-World will recognized this, and will pivot towards it instead(more fuel for propagation), and make you a target that can't be missed if you use them to empower Self. As it makes you looked like something flare up in C-World observer peripheral vision, and all they need is turn around a bit to see you for all your glory, like a firefly in moonless night.

Of course, Both Phlogiston and Vision will be visible to C-World observer when you use Skill and Ult. So be careful with that. Especially when they see soul that somehow become one with the fundamental element of the world, and completely separate from C-World as a whole. The.... Disconnected feeling when those from CG Earth looks at them, those Teyvat Returnals. It's like Skirk are to those of Teyvat, they hardly remember she doing anything to them, because to the World, she's an Outsider, and Outsiders can look, interact but can't interfere.

It's so funny to see that Healer is the Weakest Apsect of most known playable characters in Natlan. Ifa Healing is so ass that you need equal damage distribution to your team for him to heal a large group effectively, in small and consistent heal effect. But he's best when you can abuse Infinite Healing Glitch: Have him use Skill around Flame Seed, continuously attacking things that doesn't take damage from hit shot but does register his hit. Keep doing so until they're dead, or he did (yeah, you know this is Resinless behavior since i use low lv Ifa to hit mobs or Leylines near Flame Seed without have to swap character and using Pylon Turn to enact a poor man AC-130; and yes, sometimes they gone too far from spawn point, go back and reset HP bar, downside of playing like that).

And will wait on what you came up with Teyvat Tech, since Ruin Guards series can be manufactured, as one are Operational and on full production run in Liyue, and another somewhere in Sumeru. Imagine flooding your enemies with Ruin Mech that doesn't run out of ammo, can shoot laser, back missiles and other assorted weapons AND they work only for you and those you registered as Allies, not to mention Regional Boss that you can reprogram, reverse engineer and manufacturing to act as Force Multiplier for your Ruins Armies. Remember, Khaenri'ah did built an Army of Ruin Golem, the equivalent of Doom Eternal Atlan Mech, and even Perpetual Mechanical Array, solved the secret to Perpetual Engine, and Aeonblight Drake, proven that they can have Unlimited Autonomous and Perpetual Mech Armies if they want, and NOT overstep in rebel against Sustainer Of Heavenly Principle.

Learn from them is the key of getting ahead of Britannia in regain Khaenri'ah Lost Tech, and make them available again. Even getting ahead of them in make your armies NEVER needs of Munition resupply and refuel ever again with Perpetual Engine and Unlimited Energy supply.

using her Ameno element. Hanging from her belt was a fake Amemo Vision, with the Fontaine-style frame around it.
That should be Anemo not Ameno.
Meanwhile, Ayaka and Lelouch began their next game of Go. Ayaka had not only proven herself far better at the game than Suzaku, but a match for Lelouch himself. She held four wins against Lelouch's six, with Thoma explaining the progress of the game to Nunnally.
Honestly that's a good win loss record considering it's usually Schenezeil who can beat him at such games.
"True. Say, it can't all be swordplay, and you need a break. Why don't we take a visit to the shrine tomorrow?"

"The Grand Narukami Shrine?" Ayaka inquired.
Meeting with Yae will commence.
They just wait for someone to fall off?" Lelouch asked, to which Dainsleif nodded in reply.
I wonder how often that actually happens.
Lelouch paled, looking at the stairs that went around the final stretch to the top of the mountain. Knowing the former prince, he had a feeling Dainsleif was going to make him carry the girl.
Yeah I'd dread walking all those steps too.
Oh dear, I was wondering who was making that noise," Yae Miko said, with an amused expression. "Yet it seems you found my absent shrine maiden. You are working that poor boy to death, Dainsleif," she said with an amused chuckle.
Here's Yae in all her fluffy, teasing glory!

Yes I know, but the questions is how much space on vessels or Knightmare Frames would be needed for sufficient storage, which is why to play it safe, I'll stick to a large Abyss Core taken from a large Ruin Guard for the power source of Lelouch's Nautilus, while other submarines and craft built by the Black Knights would be powered by dabbling in Phlogiston, it will likely require some testing and good engineers to work out a way to make it both work and be efficient without storage tanks taking up too much space or adding too much weight to slow it all down. Since these tanks wouldn't be powering movement for somethings, like on the fleet of transport subs Lelouch intends to build, they would need to provide power for light and heating, etc.

Then there's Phlogiston Application. As mentioned in-game, Phlogiston is Primordial Power manifest, they're what the C-World floating in around, just in different flavors. I see.

That is unfortunate for him, and I am glad I never got him.

For sure I know some Knightmare Frames made by the Black Knights will be based upon Ruin Guards, and as they grow in production capabilities they'll become more refined with better developed tech and etc.

Learn from them is the key of getting ahead of Britannia in regain Khaenri'ah Lost Tech, and make them available again. Even getting ahead of them in make your armies NEVER needs of Munition resupply and refuel ever again with Perpetual Engine and Unlimited Energy supply.

True, its just ensuring there is enough materials and everything they need to produce them.

That should be Anemo not Ameno.

Right, I'll try to fix that when I can.

Honestly that's a good win loss record considering it's usually Schenezeil who can beat him at such games.

Indeed, but overall I think it shows off the siblings intelligent chops pretty well.

Meeting with Yae will commence.

Indeed and Lelouch will learn from that meeting.

I wonder how often that actually happens.

Good question, unless someone was drunk maybe.

Yeah I'd dread walking all those steps too.

No kidding, I feel sorry for the poor fool to walk those steps.

Here's Yae in all her fluffy, teasing glory!

Yes and Lelouch will learn to treat that woman with caution.

By the way, I am stuck on some parts for the next chapter as I am refining it, since I am too lazy to copy and paste it here, here it is from SB.

It'd be funny to see Lelouch interact with Not Gordon Ramsay lol. I think I remember reading that Lelouch was super OCD regarding cooking recipes to the exact measurements rather than experimenting

I had hoped for discussion instead on who the final characters to complete Lelouch's harem would be, but since feedback has been unfortunately too few for me to work with, I am making one last poll, where I seek a top eight (note: I will allow only one or two CG characters into the harem), to complete what I need so I can bring the debate on who should fill it out into its final stage.

The link to it on Fanfiction.net.

However, depending on some votes I might pick a dead last character on the poll depending on the character, but as I said feedback on which characters you think would work best would have a better chance of swaying me than the poll alone since final decision will remain with me.

What's the feed back like? Any one in the lead in particular?
Edit: I just voted Collei, Skirk, Lumine, Arlecchino, Chiori and Lynette

Well I know there has some some debate on if Kuki Shinobu, one of my personal favorites couldn't work due to her lifestyle choice of wanting to be more carefree. Same with Ganyu who is busy most of them, but I doubt she would be denied a chance for a personal life at least as my counter point, Chiori being more interested in expanding her brand than romance through.

Arlecchino is a popular choice, but age aside I am worried Lelouch may not be into a dom mommy kind of woman and other members of the harem, namely Furnia could react, which to me makes Lynette a safer choice, since she and Lelouch are in the same age group and would've had more chance to interact. But some argue events of the Archon Quest could sour things between them, but that is assuming things play out in canon exactly. But I don't know if both could join the harem or not, I mean would it be weird given the relationship they have?

Collei is a preferred choice too, but I acknowledge her issues with being touched and such could be a problem, so she would need some serious work.

Escoffier I wouldn't mind joining the harem, while I would like to try and give some like Yun Jin and Amber a fair shot, since the game does tend to forget about them.

I am open to most Natlan characters too joining the harem, but I don't feel Chasca can work while Xilonen I worry her age and tendency to skip out on work may not mesh well.

I am open to Charlotte Gagnepetit since Lelouch as Zero will likely make use of the journalist to further his aims in Inazuma and beyond as part of a PR war he'll wage.

Beidou I am aware may not work, but I am open to her as well as most of the others, but I admit each of them have their own issues and hinderances.

Even if Yae Miko doesn't join the harem, I am thinking she will have a hand in its formation, since we are trying to fine tune on how it forms to ensure it will be believable and work within Teyvat.

I think Mona is probably among the few characters who has fewer things that could impede her from joining, just a question if she won't mind polygamy and what Lelouch does as Zero, which as a reminder his time in Teyvat may have had a more positive effect on him, outside of certain things that led him to becoming Zero.

At the time of this comment, the poll stands with....

1: Skirk

2: Raiden Ei, Arlecchino/Peruere and Lumine

3: Yae Miko

4: Clorinde, Rosaria, Shenhe, and C.C.

5: Noelle, Yelan. Yumemizuki Mizuki

6: Nilou, Citlali, Mualani, Charlotte Gagnepetit, Ganyu, and Chiori

7: Kuki Shinobu, Hu Tao, Xilonen, Escoffier, Lynette, Kallen Kouzki, Collei, Chevreuse

8: Everyone else with one vote.

Huh. Most of my choices are pretty standard then.

I personally find the idea of Dainslief losing his mind over trying getting information about Surtalogi from Skirk hilarious. Lelouch getting caught in the middle of all that sounds fun.

A shame Chiori isn't as popular here. Lelouch and the Sass Queen is pretty cool when things are calm and Lelouch is just relaxing somewhere. Kinda how like Shirley was supposed to be the normal girl out of his potential pairings.

Collei would just bring out the protective instincts from big bro Lelouch I feel. Don't know how you'll include that but I figured it's an interesting potential dynamic

As for Lynette and Arlecchino... I like drama lol

Not really, since its early to call and I won't allow for ties.

Yeah and I have ways for her and Lelouch to meet early on espeically while Dain is away.

Well keep in mind I hold final decision on who joins the harem, the poll does help in my decision making process through since I am struggling against favorites I want to use, and trying to resolve the issues that can hinder their inclusion including how the harem forms that I am looking for a way to better their chances at joining if that makes sense. I would love for the sassy queen to join, but if anyone has a idea on how she could join without compromising her character I am all ears.

True and both knowing Amber could help things along between those two.

Yes, indeed, I wonder what other people think about that, I am very curious about people's reasoning for their choices.

As of this moment the following characters are now locked in for Lelouch's harem in the Genshin Impact crossover.

Keqing
Kamisato Ayaka
Sangonomiya Kokomi
Furnia de Fontaine
Navia Caspar
Eula Lawrence
Lumine
Kuki Shinobu
Shenhe
Raiden Ei
Arlecchino/Peruere

The harem has space for three more, and part two of the final poll has begun, vote for six candidates to be debated between me and a few others on my discord server for the final three to complete the harem.

Part two of the final poll. On Fanfiction.net.

The poll will remain open until 200 votes have been cast or until chapter 15 gets posted.

These are pretty based choices. A wide array of personalities

Shenhe, Ei and Arlecchino's inclusion were confrimed after a LOT of heated debate on my discord server that lasted a better part of the day.

Kuki Shinobu due to being one of my favorites got added, and Lumine due to a lot of the ideas we worked out and fine tuned.

But figuring out who get the last three spots has hit a stalemate for now.

Lol I bet. Lots of these characters are from different factions and have different values and motivations

And we have plans for how each of them will join, although because of Furnia, Arlecchino will be a later addition through.

Its just a question of who will kiss Lelouch first and then who will punch Lelouch's V-card, its between Kuki Shinobi, Keqing or Kokomi for both events that will mark its formation.

A/N: Special Thanks to Greatkingrat88 for the beta work and suggestions on improvements.

And thank you to everyone who reviewed, favorites and/or followed the last chapter.

Happy belated Holidays and a New Year, I apologize for the late posting of this chapter, it was a combination of factors, but I am hoping soon my update scheduled will become more consistent again, fingers crossed.

Now this chapter begins six years later at the suggestion of my beta, so what happened to Lelouch and Nunnally will be covered bit by bit in the coming chapters over the next long while, it won't be all done in one chapter, but overtime so forgive me how far along things are.

Anyway, enjoy and I'll have more below.

Chapter Six

Six Years Later

Nights in Sumeru were humid and generally peaceful, but sadly quiet. In this, the Land of Nature and Wisdom, the ruling government of Sumeru had outlawed all forms of public art performances including dancing, plays and singing. Especially in the capital, Sumeru City, most of which was incorporated into a towering giant tree, which housed the Akademiya, Teyvat's most prodigious educational institute, taking up much of the giant tree's interior. The Akademiya also served as Sumeru's seat of authority for the land, with power held by the six sages led by the Grand Sage.

What would have been another night for Sumeru under their oppressive rule was a commotion within the Akademiya. The sound of orders being given and marching feet mixed with members of the Corps of Thirty, Sumeru City's military and peacekeeping force, was scrambling to action.

Near the top of the enormous tree, two dozen armed soldiers assembled. The men were dressed in green and white coats with brown pants, while some others wore a brown coat over their uniforms. The female members wore somewhat lighter attire such as long sleeves white shirts that left their midriff exposed and green shorts to allow for ease of movement. They all wore a green head wrap and scarf around their necks bearing the corps' insignia.

At their destination at the Sanctuary of Surasthana, a pair of doors were built into a massive tree, upon which a large circular platform led into a walkway to an elegant white building with naturally curved arches, seeming woven from the tree itself rather than man-made.

Just a few feet outside of the door was a man clad in a tight two-piece purple body suit, golden strips, long wrapped sleeves, a frilled white cravat. He wore a cowled black cloak with a red interior and gold lining, his face covered by a black and indigo spiky mask that hid the wearer's head. The boots were integrated into the suit, and he wore black from a black belt was an Anemo Vision with an Fontainian style frame, an orb-shaped frame with a clamshell style design, and a sheathed katana with a gilded hilt and purple wrap.

"There he is! The intruder!" One of the soldiers shouted. "Lay down your arms now, and surrender!"

"No. What right do you have to imprison your own Archon?" The masked figure coldly replied with a voice that was electronically alerted providing a deep echo to mask their identity.

Hiding behind the masked man was a young girl with short white hair and green eyes, dressed in an elaborate white dress with gold, black and green upon it with a nature design decorated with leaves.

"By order of the Grand Sage, you are to both surrender to our authority," another member of the Corps of Thirty declared.

"And allow this injustice to continue? I think not!" The masked man declared, drawing his blade.

With one swing, a whirlwind was created, keeping the enemy soldiers back. The masked man used the whirlwind to launch himself into the air, carrying the young girl and helping her onto a branch where she would be safe. Using a free hand to draw a couple spheres from a pouch on his belt, the masked man threw them down at the soldiers. The ground outside of the Sanctuary was blanketed in purple smoke, and within seconds the guards began itching and sneezing uncontrollably. Using the opening, the masked man descended from above like a bird of prey having cornered their quarry.

Striking fast, using non-lethal strikes with the reverse side of the sword, he tore through the crowd of soldiers, knocking them out in rapid succession, seemingly unaffected by the gas himself. Half of the twenty-four soldiers were quickly taken down, while those few fighting off the effects of the poison rushed to engage the masked man.

Pulling out a handful of carved round stones from a pouch on his belt, the masked man threw them horizontally. Drawing on the power of Anemo, the round stones were carried by the element and hurled at the speed of a bullet, taking down six enemy soldiers; four of them had just been getting back up to counterattack but went down again immediately. Creating a small tornado, it picked up the fallen, hurling them around in the air, before, with careful timing, they were hurled at the other Corps members. Some were hit, knocked to the ground while others barely dodged, the unwilling projectiles breaking bones and bruising as they slammed into their comrades or the ground.

Dodging one attacking with a spear, the masked man sliced off the tip of the weapon. A swing of his weapon infused with Anemo sent his attacker flying, colliding into another one, knocking them both into a wall. Two soldiers tried to attack with swords, but the masked man evaded them with ease, parrying their attacks before following up with a swing of his own sword that unleashed a tornado that pulled the two attackers in before moving across the platform, pulling everyone else in.

The masked man aimed a concealed dart gun from within the sleeve of his left arm, targeting those who had still avoided his attacks with tranquilizer darts. As the last of the guards went down, the masked man retreated to the branches above to pick up the young girl. Together they fled, using his cape and his powers over the wind to glide through the air, flying away from the scene heading east. He left just in time, reinforcements arriving just as he flew off, finding the guards who had rushed to the sanctuary on the ground, beaten and confused.

From behind the double doors, an old man in blue robes, with gray hair and a beard emerged. Seeing the man fleeing, the guards beaten, his expression shifted from shock to outrage. How could two dozen of their elite corps be so easily beaten?

"Where did they go!" The Grand Sage roared in anger.

"I saw them head east. They were gliding through the air!" A guard replied.

"Then pick yourselves up, then PURSUE THEM NOW!" Azar snapped in rage.

"Yes sir! Someone, find a healer!"

"Someone send a call to the rangers to help in the search," another shouted.

As the defeated Corps of Thirty struggled to get to their feet while others tried to help their comrades, Azar tried to understand how one man just entered the Sanctuary of Surasthana, forced him to release the Dendro Archon, and then…

Why are there blanks in my memory?

Azar was struggling to remember why he came to the Sanctuary of Surasthana tonight. Despite his connection to the Akasha System, Sumeru's system of sharing and transferring knowledge developed by the first Dendro Archon, he couldn't find any reason for his presence. He was there, and… why?

Why do I feel I am missing something? What happened? Azar thought, shifting between rage at the failure of an Archon's escape and the humiliation that came with it.

Meanwhile, far off the coast near Port Ormos- Sumeru's main port and one of its trading hubs directly south of Sumeru City- a small metal skiff was being rolled out to sea in the dark, two rowers and a young passenger aboard. The young passenger had white hair peaking out from the tattered brown cloak she wore, the rowers wore cloaks to hide their identities, but one of them was wearing night vision goggles to help them navigate through the darkness.

"How much further?" One of the rowers asked. She was a young woman with long red hair styled into long ponytails, seated behind the first rower.

"We should be here," Lelouch said as they approached something metallic floating in the middle of the ocean, far enough from shore that it couldn't be seen.

Wearing night vision goggles, four men stood atop a metallic island, using special tools to help guide the skiff into its holding slot. After securing the skiff, they helped Lelouch and the two passengers up.

"Ladies, welcome aboard the Nautilus," Lelouch said with a smile as he and one member of the crew led them to an open hatch near the front of the vessel they were standing on.

"Wow. What kind of ship is this?" The red-headed girl asked.

"It's a submarine, a boat that can travel underwater," Lelouch answered as he and his two companions descended a short staircase into the vessel itself. "Is everything ready for our departure?"

"Aye, sir, everything is ready. You need only give the command," a crewman responded.

Lelouch looked to where the crew had exited, and headed for the hatch. Once he was aboard, the last crew member to board used a lever to close the hatch as a metal plate slid over the opening followed by another, creating a water tight seal.

"Prepare to dive. Head to our destination as planned," Lelouch commanded.

"Aye aye, sir!" The crew member saluted, before ascending a rounding staircase to the bridge to pass Lelouch's orders along.

"Did you wish to see the bridge as the Nautilus dives, Lady Nahida?" Lelouch asked, as the Dendro Archon removed her hood, revealing herself.

"Please, Lelouch, there is no need for formalities. Just call me Nahida," she replied. Her eyes shone with curiosity as looked around, taking in everything about this strange vessel. "But, yes I would like to see it."

"Alright," Lelouch said, before turning to the red-haired girl who removed her hood revealing her fair skin complexion and light blue eyes. "Nilou, you are of course welcome to join, but if you need to rest, there is a lounge just beyond that door."

"Thank you, but I don't mind accompanying Nahida further," Nilou offered reassuringly.

Lelouch nodded, and the trio made their way up into the bridge. Once they had reached the top, a very curious Nahida watched as a crew member standing behind the wheel was holding it as the submarine began to move.

"Four degrees down," The helmsman commanded. Next to him another member of the crew pulled back a pair of tall levers, and the submarine began to submerge below the waves, descending deeper into the ocean depths. Once below the waves, the Nautilus cruised through the dark ocean depths, navigating with integrated sonar and directional guidance the underwater patrol clockwork meka from Fontaine.

Once the ship had descended deep below the waves it began to level out.

"Where is this ship heading?" Nilou asked.

"We're heading for Inazuma, more specifically Watatsumi Island. I was originally planning to go there last week, but when I found out about Nahida's situation I changed my plans slightly," Lelouch answered. "The islands are surrounded by a neverending thunderstorm, making it dangerous for anyone attempting to enter or leave unless you follow a specific course to a certain island for inspection. However my ship can pass below the storm as long as we dive to the right depth, and it helps the storm stays far enough away from shore."

"You've made the trip before?" Nahida asked, which Lelouch confirmed with a nod.

"Yes, after sea trials were conducted four months ago," Lelouch explained.

He remembered the first time the Nautilus took to the sea,the thrill of success at having introduced Teyvat's first true submarine. The technology and the craft did exist in some form in the nation of Fontaine, but it was limited to within their borders. Lelouch's Nautilus wasn't just a true submarine, but a hybrid of different technology from Fontaine, Natlan and Nod-Krai, while the hull platting was developed on Watatsumi Island. Knowledge and conceptual ideas from Earth were also used in designing the vessel.

Lelouch remembered how nervous he was when the Nautilus began sea trials, especially when it took to the ocean depths for the first time. The hull materials of terran submarines, such as titanium, were unavailable on Teyvat, forcing Lelouch to develop his own hull plating that could withstand the pressures of the depths and other hazards on the ocean. He was thankful to the smiths of Watatsumi, who had devised a solution for him, and the two chief designers and engineers who took his ideas and made them a reality, as well as the scientist who developed its navigation system.

"How did you build something like this without anyone knowing?" Nilou wondered.

"It wasn't easy, but most of its components and parts were built in different nations. Like most of its mechanical parts were made in Fontaine and in Natlan. Raw materials and tools for its construction were obtained from Liyue, and the key parts for the hull material were obtained from Inazuma. They were all ordered and purchased under different names and then delivered to different locations before being brought to a hidden underwater cavern in Natlan for assembly," Lelouch answered. "It was an arduous process, assembling this thing and finding a crew to man it. Designing and assembling materials took more time than actually building it, especially the critical parts we got from Inazuma."

"How long can this vessel stay underwater?" Nahida asked.

"If not for food and supply limitations we could stay underwater for three to four months. Given the conditions of the submarine, for the crew it's best to surface when we can. Living underwater in a pressurized metal vessel for a prolonged period of time can be rather troubling for some," Lelouch replied before realizing something. "Speaking of food, before I give you two the full tour, we should go to the lounge. I've prepared something for Nahida."

Now curious, the pair followed Lelouch down the stairs.

Passing through the room they entered the submarine through, which seemed to be the navigation room judging by the maps, charts and navigation tools, Lelouch moved a sliding door entering the lounge. Well furnished with softly cushioned chairs, a pair of sofas and its walls lined with well-secured bookshelves and paintings from Fontaine, Sumeri, Natlan and Mondstadt, you could almost forget you were inside a decorated parts of the spacious room, with Nilou noticing storage cabinets marked exercise equipment and musical instruments.

But what really drew their attention was the set table at the heart of the lounge: a large wooden table that could seat six people. Next to it was a temporary table where food and plates had been prepared. Seated in one of the chairs was a fair-skinned young woman around Lelouch's age, with long purple hair becoming silver-purple near the ends styled into long twin tails that reached her waist, with two horn-like buns on top. She had amethyst eyes with oval-shaped pupils resembling a stiletto.

Her outfit, similar to a Qipao, was a pale lavender with a high violet collar and a ruffled dark blue skirt, layered under a deep violet overcoat, engraved with xiangyun and peacock wore translucent dark tights with gold ornaments on her legs, on her left thigh and just below her right knee. The opening of her overcoat was marked by a golden ornament, with white flowers and purple and gold-accented feathers attached. The pattern of the feathers resembled the ones on the dangling backs of her detached long sleeves. An Electro Vision could be seen on the higher part of her back.

Beside her, a pale-skinned young woman was overseeing and preparing the table. She seemed to be Lelouch's age, perhaps a few years older, and she had long, hip-length curled strawberry blonde and light ginger hair with bluish cyan eyes with pink pupils.

Lelouch would never understand why what she wore seemed appropriate clothing for a chef; no restaurant on Earth would allow it, at least not the reputable ones. The small chef's hat was inoffensive enough, but the generous cleavage of her tightly fitted white dress was a bit much, as was the fact that its hem seemed to end almost where her waist stopped, emphasized further by the translucent stockings she wore. Attached to the base of her spine on her back was a removable mechanical tail with a gold three-prong end that moved according to her thoughts.

"I hope we didn't keep you two waiting," Lelouch said to the young woman.

"No you are right on time. I was sure the Dendro Archon would be curious about the ship. The long rowing back to the ship left you exhausted," The young woman replied, turning to greet Nilou and Nahida. "Greetings. I am Escoffier, Patissiere Supreme and master of precision gastronomy. As our esteemed guests you deserve the finest cuisine I have to offer."

Escoffier pulled a chair, gesturing for Nahida to take her seat. Nahihda was hesitant at first, but took her seat with tears in her eyes.

"T-thank you."

"Not at all. You are a guest here," Escoffier said reassuringly.

"And this is Keqing, the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, a member of the seven person committee who govern Liyue," Lelouch said, as Keqing stood to greet Nahida.

"Hello, Lady Nahida," Keqing greeted kindly.

"It's nice to meet you."

Lelouch watched Nahida struggle to contain her emotions, and a feeling of sympathy filled him. He felt proud with what he had accomplished tonight, freeing her from cruel and unjust imprisonment.

I still can't believe they locked her up because they deemed her inferior to predecessor, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata. She wasn't even given a chance to prove herself, Lelouch thought, his mind full of venomous hatred of the sages; at the sheer depth of the cruelty and injustice Nahida had endured.

Locked away on the day she was born, imprisoned for five hundred years while Sumeru and the people she was meant to lead were pushed into ignoring her, while the sages and the Akademiya denied her existence, deeming her unworthy to succeed their god, all because she wasn't as great as the first Dendro Archon.

If they only gave her a chance and time…

Although imprisoned, Nahida's powers had allowed her to explore the outside world through the dreams of Sumeru's children. Through these dream visits, Nahida had gained a small following of her own over time, but they faced discrimination and persecution at the hands of the sages.

Nilou and those of her theater troupe were among those who accepted Nahida, having even attempted to revive the Sabzeruz Festival, her birthday celebration, but their efforts had been stonewalled and even deemed illegal by the sages who looked down on anything illogical or childish, like festivals and art.

Lelouch's rage softened as he watched Nahilda begin to enjoy life outside of her cage. It was clear Nahida was getting used to not only freedom, but being among people treating her with kindness. The joy of this mixed with an undercurrent of boiling rage at the thought of the cruelty she had been forced to endure before this.

Once it is within my power to do so, I shall see to it the Sages are overthrown and Nahida is restored to her rightful place, Lelouch thought, while making a silent vow.

As Lelouch contemplated future plans, he sat down in his chair, as did Nilou. Her stomach couldn't help but grow as the aroma of delicious food filled the air. Her cheeks turned red in slight embarrassment, hoping no one heard that. Escoffier was focused on making sure Nahida was taken care of, serving her a plate.

"So Lelouch, where did Escoffier come from? Her outfit looks Fontainean," Nilou whispered.

"She is. She was the head chef of Hotel Debord, a famous restaurant in Fontaine, and personal chef of the Hydro Archon," Lelouch replied quietly.

"Wow," Nilou remarked, surprised. How did such an esteemed person end up here?

"Please, you can talk after your meals. I would appreciate it if you don't waste food," Escoffier scolded gently.

"Sorry," Nilou replied, as she and Lelouch began eating. Eating silently, Lelouch considered the meal part of another celebration, his plan to rescue Nahida had worked flawlessly. He smiled inwardly. If only the Sages and their lackeys knew that what they believed had happened was nothing more than a carefully staged deception, one made possible thanks to the power of Geass.

Using it he had snared the Grand Sage, Azar, who had the authority to introduce data and overall control over the Akasha System. He had even worded the command that should the need arise, he could take control of Azar at any point. Then he had systematically put a Geass on members of the Corps of Thirty, particularly those who would be on guard tonight and most likely to respond to someone attempting to escape with the Dendro Archon.

Nahida had helped him in crafting a knowledge capsule that would be introduced to the Akasha System, when it came time to enact his deception, that would trigger the commands in the Corps of Thirty he had put under his Geass, to gather outside the Sanctuary of Surasthana to attack and disable one another non-fatally, accepting the "truth" of the Knowledge Capsule Nahida crafted as a cover story. It would send any efforts to find Nahida heading into the desert towards Natlan, fueled by the fake clues Lelouch had planted days in advance. His only regret was that he couldn't share what he had planned publicly, because the feeling of how much he exploited their blind trust in the Akasha System would've amused him to no end.

As useful as the Akasha System was to the people of Sumeru, it had two fatal flaws, both of which he knew how to exploit. Firstly, for so long they had become dependent on the system, accepting whatever information it offered as unquestioned truth. If someone could introduce a false truth with evidence to support it, they would accept it without question.

Secondly, their dependence on the system robbed the scholars of Sumeru of their ability to think creatively, making their response uncreative and stagnant. Something else Lelouch had been quick to exploit in his plan to smuggle Nahida out of Sumeru. Lelouch managed to suppress his laughter, throughout dinner and later desert.

Once everyone was finished, Escoffier walked over to a sofa built into a lower section of the floor. Pulling a lever, she opened an observation window. The exterior light of the Nautilus illuminated the area beyond, allowing Nahida and Nilou to enjoy a scenic view of coral reefs, colorful fish and forests of kelp as the submarine passed by.

"Are we really looking at the sea floor?" Nilou said, in charmed disbelief.

"We are. We are still fairly close to the shore, so we should be able to see scenes like this until we begin moving away from Liyue's coast towards Inazuma," Lelouch replied.

"So this submarine stays close to the shore then?" Nahida asked.

"Close enough yes, but not too close. Ships or divers will not happen upon us easily," Lelouch replied.

"Thank you Lelouch," Nilou said heartily.

"For what?"

"For trusting me with all of this, and asking for me to help you rescue Lord Kusanali. I am sorry, Nahida."

"Not at all. I am the one who should thank you for helping me, despite the risks," said Nahida.

In truth Lelouch had been hesitant to involve Nilou in his rescue plan, not only because of the potential danger, but he feared the risks of his secret being learned by the wrong people. Involving Nilou had been a risky gamble, but ultimately necessary.

"There were three people who could have derailed my plans. It was paramount that Nahida was smuggled out of Sumeru City and Sumeru itself as soon as possible," Lelouch replied.

"Who were they?" Keqing inquired, curious.

"One was a Fatui Harbinger known as Docttore. He is the second of their rank, and has power comparable to the Archons, a former scholar allied with the Sages. The second was the Scribe of the Akademiya, Alhaitham. A brilliant but eccentric scholar of Haravatat Darshan-" Lelouch began, but Escoffier interrupted.

"The Haravatat Darshan?" Escoffier asked.

"One of the six Darshans or facilities of the Akademiya. Each one specializes in a field of study overseen by a sage. Haravatat specializes in linguistics, research into ancient languages, and the study of ancient runes," Nahida answered.

"What makes him a threat?" Nilou asked curiously.

"As the scribe of the Akademiya he works directly under the Grand Sage. The job isn't glamorous, being mostly a position where he is classifying and archiving important documents," Lelouch answered. "He is close to the Grand Sage, and fiercely intelligent. Anyone capable of beating me in chess is a force to be reckoned with. A man like him could have seen through my scheme, had I given him anything to go off."

"But that didn't happen?" Keqing replied. Lelouch seemed rather paranoid.

"We were lucky. Alhaitham has little patience or interest in the affairs of the sages and events of the Akademiya in general."

"The other threat must've been the General Mahamatra?" Nilou asked, which Lelouch nodded, confirming her suspicions.

"General Mahamatra, who is that?" Escoffier asked.

"Leader of the Matra, the Akademiya's disciplinary force who enforces the laws of the Sages upon Sumeru. They regulate knowledge, since access to certain knowledge in the Akasha System was carefully guarded by the sages to an unfair degree, leading to illegal knowledge capsules to be sold on the black market sometimes containing dangerous or outright forbidden knowledge. They also deal with scholars who misuse academy resources and research for malicious intent, but tend to act more than the sages' attack dogs when the Corps of Thirty is insufficient," Lelouch explained.

"Lelouch had a plan to ensure its most dangerous members were away from Sumeru City at the time his plan was put into effect," Nahida added. "We gave them a tip about an illegal auction of Knowledge Capsules taking place in the ruins near the Sobek Oasis. They took the bait."

"And a well timed anonymous tip to the auction organizers gave them time to escape, forcing the Matra to pursue them, buying us more time," Lelouch replied with a smile.

"You certainly left nothing to chance," Keqing said, impressed.

"With the effort they put into keeping her imprisoned, I could take no chances. I couldn't even accompany her, even disguised, since it's well known in Sumeru City that my only family is in Mondstadt, so me with a young girl for company might've been suspicious to those few who knew me."

"Since I usually walk around with the children and play with them in the market place, it wasn't unusual for me," Nilou added.

The Zubayr Theater was a theater troupe that operated within Sumeru City, within the Grand Bazaar where it was a prominent troupe having different performances with Nilou as its star dancer and performer. Its members involved children and its members sometimes host smaller shows in other towns and will sometimes travel outside of Sumeru City for components and materials for necessary props.

Nilou was very popular among children due to her kind personality, so it wasn't usual for her to be seen with them.

"Exactly. I know it's late to ask you Nilou, but are you going to be okay this far from Sumeru City for a while? I know you are their star performer."

"I'll be fine. Renovating the stage is going to take at least a month, depending on how much the Akademiya keeps trying to stonewall our efforts," Nilou said, before sighing. "But we should be ready in time for the Sabzeruz Festival, which is a long way off."

"Very well. If you are fine with it, you can accompany us to Watatsumi Island. I do have some other business I must attend to there," Lelouch said. Although he was reluctant to drag both Nahida and Nilou along with him, he felt that perhaps it might be for the best.

What kind of business?" Nilou asked.

"Does it have something to do with the island nation closing itself off?" Nahida asked.

"Yes, but it has more to do with the civil war that has broken out there."

"First the Sakoku Decree was declared, which closed Inazuma's borders with no one allowed in or out of the country with limited trade conducted at the port city of Rito," Keqing began. "Right after that, the Vision Hunt Decree is also declared, leading to the confiscations of Visions throughout Inazuma."

"Why, I thought the Archons granted Visions to those who prayed? Why would you take them?" Nilou asked, shocked by the idea.

"I don't know why, but I do know the Archons play a part in the process while Celestia grants them, so it's a question if the gods of Celestia will see the Raiden Shogun's actions as an attempt to subvert their authority." Lelouch said. "I'm not sure why they're being seized, though. With the powers they grant, its users would be quite useful to the nation."

There haven't been any attempts to overthrow her, so that can't be the reason, he thought.

"Conflict between Watatsumi Island and the rest of Inazuma has been ongoing for the last eight months, but it has created another problem. People have been fleeing Inazuma, risking their lives through the neverending thunderstorm that surrounds it, some make it to Liyiue, but others…" Keqing sighed. "They were not so lucky. The dead have sometimes been washing up on our shores for months now."

"I can't think of a reason the Electro Archon would do this. I don't think Celestia will intervene unless something that could be seen as a more direct challenge to their authority," Nahida said. "Without knowing more about them and the situation in Inazuma, I cannot offer much. An invention from Celestia is unlikely at this point."

"I only know from correspondence from friends that two of the three commissions that govern Inazuma, the Tenryou and Kanjou Commissions, have been enacting more oppressive and controlling policies. I suspect they've had a hand in the introduction of those decrees, and there have been word of the Fatui being involved, they've been trying to sell Delusions to the Watatsumi people, so they are likely involved with them too," Lelouch said, as his eyes narrowed in anger as he mentioned the Fatui.

"Delusions? What are those?" Nilou inquired.

"They are artificial Visions created by the Fatui, they grant powers similar to a Vision, but they do so at the cost of the user's lifeforce. The more power and the more times it is used, can leave you weaker and weaker or it could kill you after one use," Lelouch said as his mood shifted from anger to sadness. "The father of a close friend had used one to save his son and my sister who was caught up in an attack by a monster. He drove the beast off, but he died from overusing the Delusion."

"If they are mass producing Delusions to offer to the Watatsumi People then I fear more could end up on a black market in other nations including Liyue. I am hoping Lelouch's efforts in aiding the Watatsumi Resistance can lead to a swift conclusion, otherwise the Fatui may be tempted to both market their Delusions elsewhere and possibly create conditions to encourage their sales," Keqing said.

"I hope you'll be successful, Lelouch," Nilou said, supportively.

"I hope so as well," Lelouch said, but he knew the biggest obstacle would be the Raiden Shogun herself.

Later that night, Nilou and Nahida were shown to their cabin. Nilou offered to share the room with Nahida so she wouldn't have to be alone. The officer cabins, with two extras meant for guests, near the bow of the Nautilus, had beds for two people along with their own bathroom. Keqing had her own room, but after seeing Nilou and Nahida to their room, she joined Lelouch in his cabin to talk more privately.

Lelouch's cabin was slightly larger with space for a bed, a book shelf, his own bathroom and shower, a closet and a desk with a pair of chairs. On the walls were replicas of navigation and bridge instruments allowing Lelouch to be aware of the Nautilus's speed and course from his quarters. Keqing and Lelouch sat opposite of one another in front of the desk, and a chess board between them.

"I had my worries, but your plan seems to have worked perfectly. I can only imagine how satisfied you are," Keqing replied, moving a chess piece.

"I had some worries, but it's unlikely they'll figure out what really happened. Even then, I imagine they'll be wasting time searching east for any sign of Nahida. I am just not sure how long they'll keep up the search," Lelouch said as he contemplated his move before moving a black chess piece.

"All thanks to your Geass. It's frighteningly powerful," Keqing mused, moving up a rook.

"Not bad," Lelouch complimented, as Keqing took a Bishop.

"Thank you. But you must've had the Grand Sage under your control for more than just implementing your plan? Given the level of access he had," Keqing said, eyeing Lelouch with a knowing smile. "Did you learn anything interesting?"

Lelouch smiled, "You know me so well."

"We've known each other for four years, ever since Tongwen Academy," Keqing said as she watched the board, trying to guess what Lelouch would do next. "We both studied law and business there. I would like to think I know you well enough to guess you likely made the most of your control of the Grand Sage."

"Yes, you're right. I did use his clearance to look at some interesting and concerning information," Lelouch said, as he made his move. "They are collaborating with the Fatui to build an artificial god."

"WHAT?!" Keqing exclaimed, nearly falling back in his chair before catching herself. "You're joking?"

"I wish, but it seems they not only did they lock up Nahida for not matching their standards, but they planned on replacing her," Lelouch said, anger simmering under the surface of his composed expression.

"I may be a skeptic when it comes to the divine, but how they've been treating Nahida is just needlessly cruel. Building an artificial god, with Fatui involvement… nothing short of a disaster will come of it," Keqing said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Thankfully the project has stalled for now. They need another gnosis of an Archron for them to proceed further, but I don't know how long that will last," Lelouch said, watching Keqing make her move.

The gnosis was similar to a Vision, but while an Archon didn't need a Gnosis to wield their respective element, a gnosis augments the Archon's power and served as a symbol of their authority as an Archon.

"The Fatui are trying to get their hands on six Gnosis held by other Archons. Rumors suggest they intended to overthrow the gods of Celestia. Sooner or later they could succeed, then what?"

"Indeed. I am not sure how Sumeru getting an artificial god would help their overall plans, but I have the location of where it is and the fact that the Fatui have fortified the Deus Foundry. The Second Harbinger is the one overseeing it," Lelouch said with a grim expression.

"The Second Harbinger… the top three Harbingers are said to be comparable to the Archons in strength," Keqing said, deeply concerned.

"Yes. The one I mentioned earlier, Dottore, a former scholar of the Akademiya hundreds of years ago under the original name of Zandik. He's a brilliant scientist, but also a ruthless madman who killed a dragon that had been terrorizing Mondstadt for a thousand years. Not even the Anemo Archon and others could kill it. He slew it, putting Mondstadt in debt to the Fatui," Lelouch said. As much as he wanted to eliminate such a monster, he knew he lacked the means to kill him. For now, at least…

"And Liyue has no desire to find itself in debt to the Fatui," Keqing said, determinedly moving up a pawn. "But given their military power and threat of the Harbingers, direct conflict wouldn't be wise."

"And that is why you and the others of the Qixing unofficially support me," Lelouch said, recalling when Keqing approached him, with evidence of his efforts to build the Nautilus, shocked and fearful he would be detained until he was surprised again by their offer of support.

Keqing was well aware of the incident in which Nunnally got caught up in an attack involving the dragon Dottore would later kill, and she only survived at the cost of a friend's father laying down his life for them both.

"It was a gamble. I believed your intentions that you intended to wage war against the Fatui, after what happened to Nunnally."

"I did have other reasons for building all of this and more."

"I know," Keqing said with a smile, moving one of her chess pieces, "and as long as it helps Liyue you can count on me to support you as both an ally and a friend."

"Thank you, I appreciate that," Lelouch said, smiling in turn.

"Now, are we going to have time for that favor the Qixing requested?"

"Of course, it's on the way," Lelouch replied, reassuringly.

"I'll help out with the salvage operation," Keqing said. "I didn't join you on this trip just for a pleasure cruise."

"Always busy," Lelouch said with an amused smile.

"You know me so well," Keqing replied jokingly, and they shared a short laugh.

"We'll be our destination tomorrow, I'll join as well once our guests are given a proper tour," Lelouch said, already planning tomorrow in his mind and beyond while playing to win against his friend.

A/N: So yeah, Lelouch didn't really use his ability to use the Elements to break Nahida out, but it was all once clever deception using Geass, planning, and false trails while exploiting people's faith in the Akasha System. Not only that but Lelouch worded his order on Azar, so he could trigger his Geass command again to give him new orders to carry out when needed.

As for the fight scene, let's just say the guards compelled by Lelouch's Geass and influenced by the Knowledge Capsule Nahida helped him with, caused their imaginations to go wild.

Without giving spoilers through a few characters will notice some oddities about what happened, which will be seen in the next chapter.

The full story on how Keqing figured out Lelouch was Zero and what he was planning will be given more details in the coming chapters, and that includes how Escoffier ended up working for Lelouch and later Zero. I might turn part of this into a funny trend for readers, but a very frustrating issue/thing for Lelouch which actually works out for him.

But at this point we are seeing him acting far more independent than he was in the early chapters, thanks to his own self-made wealth, he did have some help on that, which will be elaborated bit by bit in future chapters.

And the Night Goggles Lelouch and crew of his submarine used came from Earth, he did have some help on that one, so that is something else that will be touched up later too.

Although I regret how late this chapter's update came, but perhaps it was worth it because the story of Genshin Impact has advanced further with some useful bits I can now use for the story.

Lelouch will now be heading to Inazuma to toss his hat into the civil war happening there as Zero, after a pit-stop along the way, but the next chapter will cover the aftermath of Nahida's liberation, with one Sumeru character skeptical of some elements of the escape that he does some investigating in Fontaine.

Since I know I won't get a spoken response to this question, I have done a curiosity poll on my Fanfiction.net profile page. I am still very skeptical on how far I could go with the polygamy option with Lelouch, while struggling among my favorite picks to be his love interests, but while a few have said I could do a size of fourteen or bigger, I am skeptical of that because its not known how polygamy is treated in Teyvat, and the different cultures and nations involved which raises more questions than answers beyond from a bit during the Raiden Shogun's quests that it does exist.

Also even if it was allowed there is also the questions of if Lelouch could love that many women equally, and at what point as it grows to say ten or twelve women for example, would women be interested in joining if that makes sense.

So the poll just throws out some numbers on its size, I'll try to do poll on Spacebattles and Questionable Questing, but regrettably I can't do any for those who read on Archive of Our Own.

As for the relationships themselves, so far Venti and Nunnally will become a couple later in the story, hopefully Lelouch won't try to kill him XD, and Lelouch I got those I got my eye on in mind, so I'll let the story play out then go from there, but Keqing, Kokomi, Kuki Shinobu, Navia, Furnia and Ayaka are definitely among the most notable contenders at this point. A harem will happen, its only a question of what a believable size on Teyvat would be given the different nations and cultures they hail from.

That will be the last time I will talk about, I rather focus on the story, so I have the next chapter ready, there might be a slight delay in the posting of the next chapter because I wanted my beta for this story to go over the a chapter for my Honkai Impact/Code Geass story reboot.

Thank you all for reading, I hope you enjoyed it, and thank you in advance for any feedback, favorites and/or follows, they are always appreciated and help me encouraging me to do more.

Not sure why but this chapter gave me The Knight of Death and Rebirth vibes. Well it is your other story but still

Mind you the whole fight was nothing but the imagination of those guards running wild lol, but had I stuck to my original plan it would've better explained and covered how Lelouch got to that point. But I concede it may have been for the best since the story, well nothing worthwhile was going on through.

So, will Lelouch mooch off the Traveller for Spaceship tech? And well, as of lastest Archon Quest, there's 2 parallel Artificial God projects running with Harbinger, one on Sumeru, and the other in Research phase of Scaramouche collaborator, Dorttore. And the latter is as highly survivable as cockroach, as we can only confirm MIA when the Nod Krai cast yeet his ass (RIP Sandrone, may your next chassis more durable than the current ones; it's 300+ years, overdue for an upgrade), and we can confirmed Ending scene glitchy, meaning the Doctor is out there, somewhere.

And yes, the moon surface scene happened, and Teyvat is pretty large from space. And, uh... Natlan Only volcano is visible from space, make that what you will. Thus, the game is 1:200 of actual Teyvat map looks like. And Nod Krai Engineering expertise will be helpful because they capable of building Anti Orbital guns (2 of them on 2 different location for 2 different wasteland full of Wild Hunts in fact). And not like perpetual motion engine doesn't exist in Teyvat, and Lelouch can study those in Inazuma mini-boss and Sumeru Dessert mini-boss themselves, and apply for his machinery. Same goes for studying Scaramouche for ancient Khaenri'ah tech, mostly to fight Sakuradite dependants one HBE and the rest of CG Earth is using.

Already posted my reply on the AO3 version.

But again, fuck Dottore. Everyone I know hates Dotorre.😎

Last we saw Lelouch here he was training up Electro so I assume he got Anemo now and that Anemo Vision is a fake to cover up him having multiple elements.

Hmm that is a good question. Genshin fics just usually have Aether be with everyone

Yeah I've seen those, but aside from Aether likely to be have his own pairings, which is one reason I want to get Lelouch's pairings hammered down, but a BIG concern I've had towards my planning of the harem for Lelouch is trying to decide if it might be better for certain characters to join early, or at what point would female characters loose interest in joining the harem? Say like after it grows to ten women, would some characters still be open to it or not? And how many women could Lelouch love equally, which could make for some interesting drama if executed correctly. While I do feel confident in that I can make a big harem for Lelouch, my concern is ensuring that its believable and its in character for those involved.

If anyone has any thoughts on this or suggestions I would appreciate a second opinion or their own insight on the matter.

So, will Lelouch mooch off the Traveller for Spaceship tech?

Not any time soon given where its located.

It would seem to be the case and given the Dottore's previous habit of making segements of himself, who knows if one was made before his actions in Nod Krai.

And yes, the moon surface scene happened, and Teyvat is pretty large from space. And, uh... Natlan Only volcano is visible from space, make that what you will. Thus, the game is 1:200 of actual Teyvat map looks like.

Indeed, which is helpful and raises the question then of what kind of condition other landmasses beyond the known nations of Teyvat are like?

And Nod Krai Engineering expertise will be helpful because they capable of building Anti Orbital guns (2 of them on 2 different location for 2 different wasteland full of Wild Hunts in fact). And not like perpetual motion engine doesn't exist in Teyvat, and Lelouch can study those in Inazuma mini-boss and Sumeru Dessert mini-boss themselves, and apply for his machinery. Same goes for studying Scaramouche for ancient Khaenri'ah tech, mostly to fight Sakuradite dependents one HBE and the rest of CG Earth is using.

Well I don't think they need to worry about threats from space, at least for the time being, but yeah there are now plenty of ways Lelouch can develop tech that can perhaps match if not possibly surpass what Earth has, its just a matter of Lelouch gaining the right people and the resources to help make it happen and as of this chapter he does have a strong base for that to build from.

Already posted my reply on the AO3 version.

I'll reply to it soon.

But again, fuck Dottore. Everyone I know hates Dotorre.😎

Yup, he'll get his one way or another I promise you.

Last we saw Lelouch here he was training up Electro so I assume he got Anemo now and that Anemo Vision is a fake to cover up him having multiple elements.

Yup and he has almost all elements expect for possibly two at this point.
