Don't tell me you didn't understand my "fault" line. I get that it wasn't exactly earth-shaking, but it's not as though only jokes that are epic enter into your consciousness.Come on, I've given you guys enough hints. Even the date.

I see what you did there. But all you're doing is making earthquake references. That was the least of what happened.Don't tell me you didn't understand my "fault" line. I get that it wasn't exactly earth-shaking, but it's not as though only jokes that are epic enter into your consciousness.
I read the National Geographic article on it. That was kinda terrifying.Am I the only one that _remembers_ it? (albeit, as the trailer shaking and weird sunsets).
In response to the poster who brought up earthquakes, yes.I see what you did there. But all you're doing is making earthquake references.
Don't care, trying not to know.
Exactly why I didn't look this up days ago. I'm not a fan of advance knowledge in fiction. (Even just being aware that there's apparently some sort of real-life historical event and/or natural disaster involved is mildly cheesing me off.)
I see, then, that not posting the information onto this forums was a good decision. In response to the poster who brought up earthquakes, yes.

I'm neurotic about spoilers? I'm not sure where your confusion lies.
Ah, okay.I'm neurotic about spoilers? I'm not sure where your confusion lies.
I must be missing something, because I'm looking and looking, but I can't find a date given anywhere....

See, now I take the date at the start of a chapter to be the date of the events in that chapter. Realizing this date was of significance for future chapters... Well, it's early morning at the end of the chapter, certain events happen at 8:32 AM PST. I don't think Eternal's gonna have very long to chat with the media before she has to pull a Superman, and fly of to save the day.
Longer than you think. There are time zones to consider.See, now I take the date at the start of a chapter to be the date of the events in that chapter. That's still 11:32 AM EST. I got the feeling it was around 10-11ish EST by the end of the chapter (unless I missed a line that referenced the time).

Not that late.
She headed off to Miami not long after sunrise.
OK. Sunrise apparently happened much earlier than I thought back then...Google said:
Couldn't she just make up a disaster or something? Like, "Z'ounds! My Eternal hearing has detected a, uh ... a source of great peril! Yes! In the east! Farewell for now - Eternal, away!"She's gonna be thankful that event happens, so she has an excuse to escape.
"Ahem. In the city right now, three cars are being stolen, two houses are being broken into and four people are being mugged. I need to deal with this. Goodbye."Couldn't she just make up a disaster or something? Like, "Z'ounds! My Eternal hearing has detected a, uh ... a source of great peril! Yes! In the east! Farewell for now - Eternal, away!"
You forgot "and a partridge is tresspassing in a pear tree.""Ahem. In the city right now, three cars are being stolen, two houses are being broken into and four people are being mugged. I need to deal with this. Goodbye."
Reporters: "Any comments?""Ahem. In the city right now, three cars are being stolen, two houses are being broken into and four people are being mugged. I need to deal with this. Goodbye."
