What are your crossover fanfic ideas that you would like to see realized?

This particular story idea is one that I originally posted on Spacebattles, in the thread "Crossover fanfics you'd love to see written/continued?" I am now cross-posting it here, with a couple of minor changes.

RWBY/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (AU crossover)

Sixteen year old Ruby Xiao Long and her sister Yang have been living a relatively uneventful life in the town of Patch along with their father Taiyang. A former U.S. Army Ranger who saw combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, Tai currently teaches history at Patch's high school, and is popular among his students—Ruby and Yang included—since he actually tries to make it interesting*. When they aren't in school, Ruby and Yang participate in an informal gun club with several other friends from school. These include Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos, who are currently dating.

Life in the Xiao Long home hasn't been the same since Summer Xiao Long- Tai's second wife, and Ruby and Yang's mom (adoptive mom in Yang's case)-died. A physics scientist who had always been fascinated by the Zone in Ukraine, Summer was offered a job three years ago by SIRCAA, which she accepted. This required her to spend a significant amount of in Ukraine, but every few months Summer made the time to come back to Patch and spend time with her family. However, last year the family received word from SIRCAA that Summer died in the Zone. They provided no information beyond that, leaving her family to only speculate as to what could have happened. Ironically, Ruby ended up inheriting her mother's interest in the Zone as a result. However, she has come to see the Zone as a hostile place that must be either destroyed or locked down hard.

But the Xiao Long family's relatively mundane lives are disrupted when Ruby and Yang's Uncle Qrow returns to Patch from Ukraine. A private military contractor who served in the Rangers alongside Tai and went on to become an Army Special Forces soldier before retiring and going private sector, Qrow brings two shocking revelations with him. The first is that Summer's death was not an accident or random act of violence—she was actually murdered by a group called Spark. The second is that a woman matching the physical appearance of Yang's long-missing mother (and Qrow's sister) Raven has been confirmed to be active in the Zone, though Qrow was unable to verify if it was actually her or not.

With this new information, Ruby, Yang, and Tai head to Ukraine with Jaune and Pyrrha accompanying them. They link up with a former Ukrainian Marine that Qrow helped train (and put them in touch with)— Yevhen "Skif" Martynenko who, due to a recent Zone-related incident, has been left homeless— and head into the Zone, determined to find any answers they can about Raven and avenge Summer's death. They quickly find themselves working with, and fighting alongside, the Ward in a bloody conflict that will decide the fate of the Zone.

*His idea of doing so is to provide his own commentary on the events in a way that makes it entertaining to his students. Sometimes he'll show them videos by The Fat Electrician when he wants to cover events and individuals that he thinks deserve special attention, occasionally adding additional details or clarification when he believes it's warranted.

This would also involve the guns in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 appearing under their real-world names, and in some cases the calibers they are actually chambered in (the gauss rifle being the sole exception since it's a fictional weapon). I would recommend checking out the game's IMFDB page for reference.

If anyone wants to take this and run with it, go right ahead.

Now, let's hear what your ideas are.
