Exaltations, Plot and Crossovers

That said, do these "laws" only count for Creation or is time also a thing outside? Like, if someone dies in the land beyond and does not end in the proper Exalted afterlife, could you grab his soul and stuff it back into its body?
Sure... You could grab the ghost. That's the soul right there.

Where does the rest of the soul go to outside Creation? Does it always find its way to the right place? I know that Exalted Souls have multiple parts and one important piece goes away a certain amount of days after death to be reincarnated. But I am not sure what would happen if it had no direction to go to.

If the Hun Soul doesn't go back into the cycle of reincarnation than it goes to either the Underworld or a Shadowland as a Ghost, if it goes into the Wyld for some reason then it probably becomes unmade.
The other part is the animalistic Hungry Ghost of the Po Soul and either is dealt with via funerary rites, burns up in sunlight, is destroyed by Zenith shenanigans, or haunts a Shadowland.
IIRC few Hungry Ghosts make it to the Underworld on their own.

Ghost = upper soul. Hungry ghost = lower soul.

That's it for souls of humans. Exalts also have exalted shards.

Ghosts go to lethe for recycling. Outside creation.... Well...

The Eclipse caste is actually really appropriate for a multicross SI. The whole point of writing one is to have the character travel around from one port setting to another and building up a party of diverse waifus specialists along the way.

Assuming a multiverse in which interplane-travel isn't as rare as everyone thinks, would it make sense for another setting's sun god to carry a Solar exaltation so it can be passed on to someone in that plane? The comparison is to how chosen demons carry Infernal exaltations, but without the carrier-becomes-a-UC part at the end.

Ammy (as in Okami) is just doing a favor for her four-armed counterpart and doesn't use the exaltation herself.

The second is for a crossover with Chrono Trigger/Cross. Schala Zeal, at the very end of her subplot in Trigger but before Cross can happen, instead turns away from Lavos in the Darkness Beyond Time and GTFOs like mad, eventually emerging in an interpretation of the Wyld that bleeds into the Warp, Dreaming, Nevernever, and other such regions where objective reality isn't. Then things get worse. She's almost completely out of marbles by the time she finally meets her Mate, the SI, about 20 years later.

Is this appropriate for a Lunar's origin story? I'm not sure which caste she should be, but I'm leaning towards Waning (appropriate for her debut arc) or No Moon (appropriate for her character, but creates a redundancy re: party dynamics). Full Moon is right out.
