Yep, I got marvel and DC mixed up. It was in particular a Apocalypse Si. I believe it was still in the Egypt part of the story. It might be dead.
 
I read this Toaru fic a year or two back. I really enjoyed reading it and now I cant find it anywhere. little help?

Details I remember
1. Toaru universe also known as 'A Certain scientific Railgun' or 'A Certain Magical Index' story settings.

2. The fic is written from Accelerator's Pov with Accelerator having lots of AU elements.

3. In the fic Accelerator never participated and/or shut down the Level 6 shift project.

4. In the fic I remember Accelerator running/creating his own lab. Investigating dark side conspiracies with roots in the past generations. And meeting and sparing/flirting with Railgun (I remember one spar where she uses her powers to mimick a giant mecha)

5. I dont remember what site I read it on but I frequently read stuff on Spacebattles.com, Fanfiction.net and SufficientVelocity.com and occasionally on Archive Of Our Own (AO3) or Royal Road if that helps narrow it down at all.
 
God, I've been trying to find this story for the last couple of days, just so I can stop my brain annoying me about it.

It was an Ahistorical fic, maybe gamer, similar to the Swiss one, except it had zombies in it. The guy could bind people to him like a Waifu catalogue protag, and had to do so to save one girl that was bit by a zombie. There was a massive (50 year+) time skip at one point cause the main characters are functionally immortal and that's where I ended up stopping. I could have sworn it was on QQ, but I've even checked Spacebattles and SV. At this point the fact I can't find it is annoying me more than the fact I dropped it.

If anyone had any idea at all of what I'm talking about, I'd appreciate a point in the right direction just so I can satisfy the urge to find it.

Looking for a story that was inspired by The Man Who Knew Too Little but with Harry Potter. He shows up, does something mundane and it sparks insane consequences.
Ex. Tell someone to be careful of the olives *something like that* and the person ends up dying from choking on one.

I can't remember if it was here or AO3. Please, I'm going crazy here.

You probably need to check a few authors' Snippet and Miscellaneous Story threads. Some authors can pump out quality stuff in those, and they're painful to search for.

I recently found two fics I'd been trying to track down thanks to Reddit. The first was thanks to the r/OnePieceFanfic sub, https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceFanfic/comments/1lu8jgd/one_piece_reaction_fics_list/ , and the other was thanks to r/InStarsAndTime, https://archiveofourown.org/works/62574151/chapters/160163788.

Remember folks, TvTropes sucks, but you should always check (and contribute to!) the FicRecs section of franchise pages when you come across terrific fanfics. ESPECIALLY complete ones!
 
Ok, so I have a manga I've been looking for for a bit and wanted to know if I could ask about it here or not. I actually have a rather long description of the manga and one or two of the plotlines, but I don't want to go nuts putting all of that down if it's going to be the wrong thread to put it in. Specifically, it is not fanfiction, but a manga/LN series I read a couple years ago that seems to have totally vanished from the internet afterwards.
 
Ok so can i ask for a visual novel?

The MC is a Dungeon master who just lost his group so he look for news players, he find some and to his supraise are all girls! But they are girls and as a players are a bit problematic, like the last girl was attualy the waitress in the shop who never played d&d only online videogames.

is this sufficent?

Go ahead. This thread is strict on the 'It must be a specific story you know exist, not a request for suggestions' rule, but pretty liberal on requesting types of media other than fanfic.


Speaking of which, I posted this in the NSFW thread, but it is equally applicable here:

Not actually a fic, but I'm trying to find a young adult book I read decades ago. I specifically recall one scene: an adult female authority figure was telling the main character(s) about their nature of their great enemy, who was some sort of incarnation of evil, and how he was a consummate liar. "But this doesn't mean that everything he says will be false. If you ask which way to the nearest village, and the real answer is 'east', that doesn't mean he'll say 'west'; he might say 'north' or 'south'. He might even say 'east', knowing that's the one direction you now won't try."
  • I vaguely recall the adult was some kind of ruler - possibly a queen or princess
  • I think the main character listening was also female
  • I specifically recall the example of asking directions to something being used. I'm probably wrong about it being 'nearest village' and about which cardinal direction is the right answer, but I'm confident in the overall form being much like what I used above.
