  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Funny Things You Do While Zoned Out

Usually when I'm not focusing on something I tend to just turn on music and start thinking about stuff. Usually I start thinking about stories I'd like to make and then I start imagining scenes going on in said story and then out of some strange habit I don't know the origin of I start moving around usually walking back and forth sometimes even physically recreating the actions I'm thinking of. Usually being in a small room I tend to end up pacing turning back and forth repeatedly as I do this. My parents describe it as my "Spinning" habit, it's a little embarrassing sometimes.

Thankfully I manage to avoid doing it when I'm outside.

I do that sometimes. Can usually keep it contained to only certain parts of me though.

I tend to him music from games that I enjoy playing or just good music in general, such as these for example.

I also tend to make sound effects when I am excited or over stimulated, and sometimes I'll rapidly move my head from left to right to let off some steam.

I walk around in circles. Usually around the dining table or something.
And I can flip sand timers without noticing it because I absolutely must flip sand timers that are finished.

It's kinda gotten to the point where not having a sand timer to flip drives me insane and if someone's moving furniture they need to make sure there's a circuit for me to walk around. Otherwise I happily drive them insane too.

I don't really have many stories to tell, most I've done is walk down two streets and cross a road while day dreaming without realizing it till I looked around me and noticed I was a lot closer to my destination then I should have been. Now my mother on the other hand...

So, my mother is looking for her glasses, unable to find them, till she realizes they're on her head already. On a different occasion she managed to lose her phone in her hand and had us call it for her at which point she obviously found it.

oh my god that is so irritating when she has three different pairs and two are on her head and she asks for help. usually when we point out they're on her head, half the time she'll be saying 'no, the other ones!'

what's even worse is when she pulls one pair out of her handbag, has the other two on her head, and still asks for help after we've pointed it out.

GODDAMNIT WOMAN THAT IS EVERY PAIR OF GLASSES YOU OWN
