Governor's Gambit - Star Wars SI into Imperial Governor

Alderaan gets blown up in a few months from this point in time. 0 BBY; Great ReSynchronization

0 BBY = 35 after ReSynchronization = 1000 After Ruusan Reformation = 3653 after the Treaty of Coruscant = 36453 After Tho-Yor Arrival
[Year]:[Month]:[Day]
35:3:3 Leia gets captured and taken to the DS1.
35:3:6 Alderaan gets blown up; Leia rescued
35:3:7 Battle of Yavin 4 and destruction of DS1.

That disturbance in the Force cannot be Alderaan getting blown up. It's too early by a few months.

TftC!
I'm fairly sure that Alderaan had more than a million souls considering it was a core world and major player in Republic politics. Like way more than a million souls lol.

Wasn't there a smaller death star shot in rogue one?
I think so but it's been so long since I read that I can't quite remember. Could see that being the test shot for the Death Star. Would make sense for it to have been used at least once so that the Empire knows it works before Tarkin went all-in on it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it wasn't alderaan yet as that is a few months off I'm remembering correctly. There were more than millions of people on that planet when it was destroyed, billions i'm pretty sure, maybe this would've been that rogue one surface destroying attack, that completely wiped out that giant city and all nearby areas.

The PJO fic will follow an OC-SI dropped into a much expanded version of the PJO world. I'm talking about different magic systems, factions, and much more. I always thought that the magical underground felt small in those stories, like there was so much just out of sight. It came to me that maybe that could be intentional in-universe. Demi-gods, especially those in the Camps, are known for getting quests, getting into trouble, and generally having more Divine attention on them. Any magical underground of people with the Sight, like mercenaries, mages, and even governmental organizations dedicated to regulating magic would steer clear, cause no-one fucks with the Gods and gets away with it easily.

To me, that says that so much could be just out of sight. And I want to make something that follows that. I probably could just make it into a standalone low-fantasy story, but the PJO name means more attention which means more feedback which I really need. It also helps fill in worldbuilding gaps, and gives me more overarching plot points to hold onto, like how the fall of the Empire is super important to Las even though he's in such an isolated area of the world.

Will you add different mythologies?
I would love to see other myths that are prevalent on the site but also some less known ones like the dead Aztec or the American cretures like wendigos or the Indian Mythology or Chinese Myth.

Just a note but the year is actually 1 BBY and then transitions into ) ABY. 0 BBY/ABY is considered by Star Wars history to be the week that A New Hope took place across from start to finish.

The "year zero" in this system was based on the destruction of the first Death Star during the Battle of Yavin, which the Alliance leaders saw as their first major victory against the Galactic Empire. BBY stood for "Before the Battle of Yavin," and ABY for "After the Battle of Yavin."[2] The date 0 BBY,[3] or just 0, denoted the events that took place between the capture of the Tantive IV and the ceremony, held by the Alliance in celebration of their victory at the Battle of Yavin. The year before 0 was denoted 1 BBY, and the year after, 0 ABY.[4]

One; That feeling was likely the Jedha Massacre occurring, meaning Rogue One is on track.

Two; I hope when the Seventh Brother returns he takes his LECA and TIE Whirlwind back with him, if nothing else it will give Vader a distraction post Yavin as he goes over the specs of the toys/tools the inquisitor brought back with him.

Thanks for the chapter, while I'm sad to hear about hiatus it's better then burnout/rushing a story. On the bright side it's great to hear another story in the works.

I'm especially excited abiut this, I don't blame the author but the world like in Harry Potter lacked scale and background fluff that I always like to look for. Even with the addition of Magnus Chase and the Egyptian (i forgot the name) stories.

Also would he actually be sad if his mom died? Did his mom actually him? Like we see his sisters actually cared about him (in contrast to his own views), but did the mom?

He felt it through the Force. Unimaginable death.

A million souls crying out in terror.

A million souls silenced.

Scarif?

And then it happens that idiot tarkin does something that single-handedly does more damage to the empire then 20 years of rebel action. The true decline of the empire starts now.

I dont recall if its canon but I remember reading a metatext interpretation of Tarkin blowing up Alderaan is that since no one is safe, why not throw in with the rebellion.

Tarkin blows up Scarif

Galaxy: This is fine.

Tarkin blows up Alderaan.

Galaxy: THE FIRE RISES, BROTHER! WE ARE ALL REBELS THIS DAY.

I am honest astounded at the lack of media literacy. How the hell do any of you think that this is Jedda or Scarif? It is a clear callback to Obi-Wan's line, while there's the possibility of it being a bait and switch it doesn't fit with good writing for it to be so. And before the supposition starts anything that wanders down the 'oh but it only says a million and Alderaan was more populous than that' path we also have to consider the other 'a million is a big number and at a certain point people's minds just call it close enough' which is equally as logically sound as the prior argument.

Also neither Jeddah or Scarif were large enough for a million people.

were discussing jeddah or scarif since some believe it may be a few months to early for alderaan .

and since all 3 get hit by the death star.. but who know's (only author)

seriously you don't have to hammer down peoples theories so hard, there theories Afterall.

so chilll and have fun re-reading story like , im sure were all past the 10/100 re-reads by this point . lmao

With the mixed timeline stuff, it could also be using the original planet the Death Star was constructed over, where Tarkin had all of the prisoner and slave labor forces sent along with others after it before blowing it up
