Naruto took a slow, measured sip of the bitter tea. His mind was already drifting toward the upcoming delegation, calculating how many variables he could control in sixty days, when Danzō's voice pulled him back to the present.
"Actually, I even forgot the primary reason I brought you here," Danzō said. His tone was uncharacteristically calm, lacking the sharp, commanding edge that usually defined their interactions.
Naruto lowered his cup, his eyes meeting the old man's single visible eye. Danzō signaled to a maid standing near the sliding door. "Go and find her," he ordered. "Tell her I am in the tea room."
Naruto watched the maid scurry away, a flicker of genuine intrigue crossing his mind. Who was 'her'? This was the Shimura ancestral manor, a place that should have been a fortress of secrets, yet Danzō was calling for someone as if this were a normal family visit.
As they waited, Naruto racked his brain, digging through every memory of the canon story he had brought from his previous life as Aiden.
'Danzō having a family?' he thought. 'The manga never mentioned a wife, children, or a lineage. He was always just the shadow in the corner of the village.'
But as he looked at the traditional, well-kept state of the manor, the logic began to click. Hiruzen Sarutobi had a son and even a grandson in Konohamaru. The noble clans of Konoha were built on bloodlines and inheritance. It made perfect sense that Danzō, a man obsessed with legacy and the Shimura name, would have had children. They simply hadn't been relevant to the original Naruto's journey.
The sliding Japanese door was pulled open with a soft, practiced motion.
A girl walked in, flanked by two older maids. She looked to be around seven or eight years old, dressed in a high-quality pink kimono embroidered with white cranes. Her hair was a striking, Snow White color, falling in soft waves around a face that was undeniably beautiful.
"Good morning, grandfather," the girl said.
Naruto's breath hitched: He watched Danzō's face. For the first time, the stone-cold commander of Root looked... human. There was a glimmer of genuine affection in his eye, a softening of the harsh lines around his mouth that Naruto hadn't thought possible.
'Ah,' Naruto thought, a dark, predatory smile forming in the recesses of his mind. 'So you do have a heart, old man. Did you just show me your weakness?'
"Good morning, Yuki," Danzō replied. He gestured to the mat. "Come and have tea with this old grandfather of yours... We have a guest."
The girl stepped into the room, but Naruto noticed something immediately. Her eyes were closed. She didn't stumble, and she didn't feel her way around the furniture, but she walked with a strange, tilted grace, as if she were listening to the air itself.
She stopped and turned her head toward Naruto. "And who is that next to you?" she asked. "I've never seen a life force that looks like a swirling grey storm before."
'Is she not blind?' Naruto wondered. Her eyes remained shut, yet she was "looking" right at him.
"Ah, this is your future fiancé," Danzō said, casually sipping his tea.
Naruto, who had just taken another swallow of the hot liquid, almost choked. He managed to keep his composure, but his pulse spiked.
"Grandfather!" Yuki huffed, her face turning pink to match her kimono. "I'm not even eight yet and you're already trying to marry me off to some stranger?"
"Hahahaha," Danzō laughed.
The sound sent a literal shiver down Naruto's spine. Hearing Danzō laugh was more terrifying than hearing him threaten someone's life. It was completely out of character.
"I'm not trying to marry you off," Danzō said, his eye glinting with a strange pride. "He will be the one marrying into the Shimura clan."
'Is that what you think?' Naruto thought, but he kept his expression perfectly neutral.
Danzō looked at Naruto. "This is Yuki Shimura, my one and only granddaughter. Introduce yourself."
It was a command, backed by the weight of a man who expected total obedience.
Naruto realized that if Danzō was willing to hand him his "Achilles' heel" on a silver platter, he would be a fool not to take it. He stood up, his new, taller frame making him look far more mature than a four-year-old should. He moved with the elegance he had spent weeks perfecting in the archives.
He knelt on one knee before Yuki, took her small hand in his, and gave it a light, formal kiss on the knuckles.
"Lady Yuki, I am Uzumaki Naruto," he said, his voice smooth and respectful. "It is a rare pleasure to meet someone whose presence is even more striking than this garden."
Yuki's face flushed a deep crimson. She was clearly a spoiled noble girl, used to attention, but Naruto's refined, "Aiden-influenced" charm was something she clearly wasn't prepared for.
"You're... very formal for a little kid," she muttered, though she didn't pull her hand away immediately.
"The two of you should go for a walk," Danzō remarked. "The fresh air will do you both good."

The Shimura garden was immense, filled with ancient pines and perfectly manicured stone paths. Naruto walked beside Yuki, keeping a steady pace.
"It's a change," Yuki said after a few minutes of silence. "Walking with someone who doesn't try to hold my hand every two seconds because they think I'm going to trip."
Naruto didn't reply immediately. He was focused on the sensation in his bones. Ever since the first hokage cells had merged with his DNA, he could feel the plants around him. It was like having extra limbs that reached deep into the soil.
They stopped in a section of the garden where the ground had been recently turned for new flowers. Naruto crouched down, looking at the tiny, unsprouted seeds buried in the dark earth.
He closed his eyes. He could feel the new elemental balance inside him. The water and earth natures, strengthened by the First Hokage's cells, were swirling together, catalyzed by his own silver soul energy. He reached out a finger, barely touching the surface of the soil.
He infused a microscopic drop of that energy into the earth.
Instantly, green shoots erupted from the dirt. In a heartbeat, they grew, unfurling into a cluster of vibrant, beautiful lilies that bloomed right before their eyes.
"H... how did you do that?" Yuki asked, her voice trembling with surprise.
Naruto stood up, a small, knowing smile on his face. "As expected, you can see much more clearly than those with normal eyes."
Yuki quickly put her hand over her mouth, looking as if she had just revealed a secret she was supposed to keep hidden.
Naruto watched her. He knew the backstory now. Yuki was the child of Danzō's eldest son, who had died in the war. She had been born blind, but she possessed a sensory ability that bypassed physical sight entirely. She perceived the life force and chakra of everything around her with a clarity that rivaled the Byakugan.
"How can you transfer energy to plants like that?" Yuki asked, trying to regain her spoiled, noble composure. "You didn't even use a jutsu. I didn't see any hand signs."
"Ah, so you can even tell when someone uses a jutsu," Naruto said. "How interesting."
"Stop ignoring my questions!" Yuki snapped. "How can a kid like you have such a huge, strange life force? Most people look like flickering candles. You look like a solid block of grey stone with a silver core."
"So you see life force as colors?" Naruto said, stepping closer. Despite Yuki being three years older, Naruto's recent growth spurt made him slightly taller than her. "Your face is turning red again. It seems your way of perceiving the world is even more developed than I assumed."
"You're weird," she huffed.
Naruto decided to test the limits of her vision. He activated his Silent Shell, a technique designed to mask his presence entirely. "Can you still see me now?"
Yuki's brow furrowed. "Your life energy just changed color. It's... darker now. Like you're trying to disappear, but I can still see you."
"I see. My technique still has room for improvement," Naruto murmured.
"You! Why do you keep ignoring me?" Yuki yelled, her frustration finally boiling over. "Do you want me to tell my grandfather that you're being mean? Everyone is scared of him!"
She had a smug look on her face, expecting Naruto to flinch. She had learned early on that fear manifested as a dark, murky smoke in people's energy. She saw it in the servants and the guards every day.
"Why not?" Naruto said, his tone completely flat.
"W-w-why aren't you scared?" she stammered.
"Oh, so you can even tell when people are scared?" Naruto said. "Now that is truly fascinating."
"ARRRGGH!" Yuki exploded. She lunged forward, her small fist infused with a surprising amount of chakra, and tried to punch him.
Naruto moved his head an inch to the left, the fist whistling past his ear. He stepped back, watching her with a clinical interest.
"You would make a great shinobi," Naruto said. He wasn't lying; her ability to see energy made her a natural predator.
Yuki froze. Her anger vanished instantly. "Y-y-you really mean that?"
Being a blind girl in a noble house, she had likely been told her whole life that she was a delicate flower to be protected. Hearing a genuine compliment about her potential as a warrior caught her completely off guard.
'How troublesome,' Naruto thought as he watched her blush again. 'She's a living lie detector. She can sense the truth in my energy.'
He looked back toward the tea room where Danzō was waiting. A cold, calculating thought settled in his chest.
'A blind sensor who can see through any mask, tucked away in the Shimura house,' Naruto thought. 'If I can tie her to me, I don't just get a fiancé. I get a way to monitor Danzō's every move from the inside. This was a better opportunity than I ever imagined.'
"Actually, I even forgot the primary reason I brought you here," Danzō said. His tone was uncharacteristically calm, lacking the sharp, commanding edge that usually defined their interactions.
