i saw this was a thing, figured i might as well do this. my (current) screen name is Asmodeus, after the demon. i cant write to save my life, so i just lurk and read more often than not. generally used ff but that sites a dumpster fire at the best of times so I'm here to see what its like here.
 
Hello. The other day, I was in a discussion on reddit where we were once again lamenting the lack of comments and community around our efforts at writing fanfic. I observed that I thought it might be easier and better in smaller communities where people learn to recognize and know each other a little outside of the purely archival purposes of AO3, though AO3 is important. I mentioned forums as one possibility, in addition to dreamwidth and others, but I mentioned that some of the other general writing forums made me nervous because while most of my writing is very PG-13 or lower, when I do deal with adult themes it tends to be in ways that I would rather post in a "choose to warn/choose to read" kind of environment. I'm a member of the Beast's Lair forum, and I think I've seen a few obvious crossposts from there, though I am recently more into other fandoms in addition to Type Moon.

I'm Prix or some variation of it most places online. I'm not sure if this community will stick for me, but it was recommended as a forum community that was relatively welcoming without any draconian moderation.
