Kill Six Billion Demons

It's because every time I post a comment or speculation, nobody replies. So how the fuck am I gonna get pumped about discussion wh
You could start making porn of it ;):p.

By the way, is this going to be a "your Prince(ss) is in another castle" scenario or he (Allyson boyfriend) is dead? What do you think?

I'm betting on dead or worse.

I dunno. Plotwise that feels very cheap and wasteful. If the character is going to be killed off, it should be done in a way which causes the most impact, change, development, and trauma. Him dying offscreen like that does not really do that.

The guy's gonna cause a fuck up, remember White Chain was sent to make sure Allison gives Zayd the key. Then Zayd goes back in time, becomes Zeus, and returns the key to Allison.....

He could be turned somehow.
Just like Incubus is whispering in our heroine's ear it wouldn't surprise me if they find him sitting in a room filled with oppulence, surrounded by the finest treasures, foods and slaves.
From what we know about him it seems rather plausible that he would like the kind of power fantasy Mammon could offer him: "You are destined to be the ultimate king, and I will be your humble advisor...", and stupid enough to believe Mammon is telling the truth.
They might find him and he wouldn't want to leave or he turns on them somehow.

And so it begins.
I'd say it looks like Cio dug up her old gear but it kinda looks like shes naked.

So... an accurate emulation of her old look, since she's in a suit.
latest

Doesn't seem like she wore any gear, but rather an actual exoskeleton.

True
Still, shes back to her old look, and while it looks badass it doesn't bode well for her mental stability and her goal of being 'good'.

Anyway I wonder how long it will take until Allison's connection to Incubus is discovered. What do you guys think? During the heist, or after?

That would be because she is.

Aside from a few straps holding various tools to her, at any rate.

Look here for an image of Cio, naked on the day she was....Masked, I guess? At the bottom two panels especially.

Aside from the color of her Mask and the lack of a couple arms, Cio's current form isn't that much different her original in terms of appearance.

Or she gives the key to him, but he can't handle the power - or something like that - and dies because of it. Allison desire to escape power leading to the death of the person she worked so hard and sacrificed so much to save.

Also Cio is looking good (physically).

Once again, a character is shaping up to be entirely different than I had immagined them.
I had always thought that, since Mammon is the one who had bought his key, he was already insanely wealthy and influential when he aquired it and only got it because he could.
Somehow, it almost seems like that wasn't the case.
It seems like he got his key out of ambition to claw his way to the top.

He looks like a fucking chicken! :D

I have to say however that I didn't particularly like the association of being kind with being servile.

EDIT:

Also why I'm getting the impression that the verious keys/slices of divine power kind of represents facets of human emotions?

True, although it does fit with the world to a degree. I can well imagine that such a race would be exploited or that the name was chosen for them as a mockery.

Could be.
That reminds me ofa book series I read ages ago that dealt in a similar theme. 'The Keys to the Kingdom'
It actually has a lot of parallels to K6BD:
One mortal going to the centre of the multiverse, which is a decrepid place that used to be glorious. Seven great lords rule over the ruins, squabbling among each other just as much as they opose the hero(ine) thats trying to usurp them. Each one of them has a key to power that originaly comes from a god figure and each of them is corrupted in his or her own way. Only in KttK it was the classical seven sins instead of emotions.

Never heard of it. *adds to The List*

To be fair, those sins are the spawn of said emotions going out of control.

A bit unrealated, but this made me think about Mottom's power (going by faulty memory, but she could make things grow), her fear of death and how those two may be related. I mean, she fears the end and has the power of fostering new beginnings? That has to be more than a mere coincidence.

Abaddon said all Demiurges ahd sympathetic backstories.
Speaking of Mottom, I really didn't find her sympathetic in any way.

I found her understandable, but yeah, not sympathetic.

Speaking of which, here's a general overview of what the Kind People are all about. I think it comes from the RPG, which Abbadon has said is ok to share (he's not intending to charge anything for its final release).

"Sympathetic" may be the wrong word.

I think what Abaddon is driving at for the Demiurges is that you understand where they come from. That we know what their circumstances are and were, and how that shaped their decisions.

Their stories aren't meant to excuse them, merely explain them.

Enjoy it. I'de say that its a children's book, but its a good read and it puts an interesting spin on some of the classical fantasy tropes.

Thanks for posting that. The kind people are an interesting addition to the world of K6BD and I can immagine one of them going "fuck that, I wanna be a master myself".
It makes me wonder how big Mammon actually is.
If you look here:

or here:

it seems like he is pretty large, but that might just be for effect or angle, since most of the other kind people we've seen seem to be not much taller than a human. Perhaps they never stop growing and his size is just a function of his incredible age.

The Kind People keep growing with age and, as Servants, will not die of old age.

So, speaking as largely an outsider to Kill Six Billion Demons (which I will change ag some point, I know; I just need to find that other webcomic I like but can't remember, and I can delegate time to actually reading these), but I found out just the other day from a shopping trip ir local Chapters store that there are actually physical copies of Kill Six Billion Demons.

Apologies if this is un-news to anybody ("Well no shit you can head to a bookstore and buy a copy of Kill Six Billion Demons, it's been like that for a while"), just found it rather surprising givn physical copies of webcomics in my experience are only things you can find at a convention or on a sites Merch page.

Moght be a deal made between the local manager/owner and the artist?

Nope.

Abaddon got a deal with Image Comics a while ago. AFAIK, it's just the first book that they've published so far.

You can order it off their website.

Dead tree's about fifteen dollars, digital is twelve.
And here goes another physical copy of a webcomic I want to buy. Thankfully it's only four webcomics so far.

EDIT:

Speaking of webcomics, UPDATE!

Looking good there Cio!

The accountant guy, not so much. If this is the way she came in the other time and nobody cared about plugging that hole in the security (beyond plugging the physical one), I'm going to be sooo disappointed. Even if that arrogance would fit a powerful figure like those guys.

Why am I so turned on by this one pic?

Skintight outfit, hair so long it would cover breasts and genitals (not that demons have those IIRC, I could be wrong), straps which bring to mind bondage, gold-ish earrings, and a short sword which she can presumably wield quite well.

I'm going to quote Green Sun, Black Shadows here and say she looks "[...] like the wet dream of a monstergirls fetishist."

Godiva hair and the... Ropes? Make a suggstive patern.

But even in prison corpses are not just left there. I'm getting a WH40k feeling, specifically the part where it says that in old, big vessels there may be entire sections everybody forgot about, including the people that may have lived there.
