Not sure if I can post this here, but

Is it just me, or does Luke in the sequel Star Wars trilogy seem a bit...i dunno passive aggressive? or am I the only one? he also seemed to be VERY dismissive of ashoka when luke and her met for the first time I think he didn't even look at her, ask questions about anakin since she knew him well or even get to know her or invite her to the new jedi order he tried to build. For someone like her, I would have jumped through hoops to gain her knowledge and experiences, especially to avoid the same mistakes the original Jedi Council made. I mean, it would be fine if she refused, but they didn't have to do them both dirty like that

It's the sort of question I would have expected back in 2017 or 2018, feels like old news now. But it's best to think of star wars sequels as fanfics written by people who don't respect the source material, so they will be full of moments where characters act differently from how they used to be when Lucas was in control. Just treat it like any other fanfic and ignore it if it's no good.

I only watched the movies, so I don't know anything about Ashoka, and I can't speak to that part of the question. Just going by what I observed with Jake in the movies. He wasn't a good character, not very memorable except for that one grimace he made when he was drinking milk.

For this you will have to disconnect from the implicit idea that canon has to make sense.

The writers had a start and end point, which was Luke turns into a huge weiner and gets the Jedi Order killed a second time by mindlessly following dogma. And because everyone is so obsessed with canonical and being loreful nowadays, there was no possible way to write around it.
