Man, I haven't seen this video in so long. It's really stupid.

... there have been longer cases of necromancy on this very page, so I'm going to assume it's fine.

Between these two links, there are at present 2,401 songs represented, every last one a touhou remix. It's something of a fun game to try identifying the original song by listening, though it might take a while to get through all of them.

Enjoy~

So someone posted this on SB and it is the best thing ever. and since most of the embeded videos aren't shoeing up I have no ides if its been posted before so here it is.

A mash-up of Chop Suey (System of a Down) and Crocodile Rock (Elton John), made by Neil Cicierega, the guy who made Potter Puppet Pals. I honestly think that I prefer this over the original songs. It's really good.

He's also got some other good stuff, like a remix of the Ghostbusters theme song:

and Fly Away, by Lenny Kravitz:

Also, while this isn't by Neil, it's similar to the last two videos:

Really like these. Especially since the makers put the effort into animating them and making a backstory for them.

EDIT: Scratch that, the animations are made by someone else.

Y'know, Classic Pokemon battle themes sound really amazing when played by actual musicians instead of 8-bit sound engines...

Nice thread, music is such a great thing. Anyway, I thought I might as well share some of my favourites. So have some of the perhaps lesser known stuff I happened upon over the years.

These guys are just great musicians having fun.

I heard that the website now only loads spoilers if you click on them, so I hope putting them in seperate spoilers prevents any issues for people with slow internet.

Also:
Comercial free internet radio. Pretty good, and a variety of different channels to select from with different kinds of music.

Also, for those of you who enjoy metal, here are some songs/albums you might like:

If you like this check out "My Soul Burning" and "Dance on the Volcano" from the same album. It's called "Bastard".

Unfortunately some of their stuff isn't on yt, but if you can find it listen to "Dinner auf Uranos"

It's a soothing kind of metal you can just relax to. The guy who created it apparently makes all his music by himself. I also heard he burned down a church or something at some point, but that might be rumor.

They made some really great music. Unfortunately their lead singer and the guy who wrote most of it died pretty young. Apparently he froze to death in Norway when he was caught by a storm on his way home.

for those who want some action music to write fight scenes too

Any Ayreon fans out there? Because holy shit have I got hooked hard onto them recently. I've been listening to Univeral Migator (Parts 1 and 2), and holy shit is it a fucking good album.

Personal favourites:
Part 1:

I'm headed for the stars, I'm leaving my house on Mars. No friends in my house on Mars, No foes in my house on Mars. I was born in my house on Mars, I will die in my house on Mars.
Part 2:

This is amazing. Weebl has really outdone himself.

"Girl, I'm going to blow your mind like that old guy blew that other old guy."
Just a little teaser to get you interested.

My absolute favorite band is so underrated, they're called The Crane Wives and all of their music is up for free on YouTube. Highly recommend them for their poetic and evocative lyrics! And that they all just seem to hype to be here even after 14 years of working together. Here's one of my favorite songs by them:

Hollow Moon
