Someone on Webnovel suggested I check this site out and I'm interested and read the rules but I'm wondering if my story qualifies as NSFW or not. So like most of the story isn't graphic, but in the second half of the story there is a lot of fights that get bloody and gorey like donutting people and stuff.

Do I just out warnings on the chapters with excessive violence or should the whole story be out in NSFW cause of these scenes?

NSFW materials

  • Images or videos containing Nipples and/or Aureola, genitals (Penis, vagina, other), Sexual intercourse.
  • Images or videos containing graphic violence and gore.
  • Written Fiction that contains graphic descriptions of Gore or sex. (Saying 'They fucked like rabbits' and using suggestive imagery is okay to post in the SFW sections, spelling out all mechanical details goes in the NSFW section.)
  • Gore that depicts real life naked children or infants is NOT permitted, as it falls too close to the line of child porn to be safe. Gore that depicts real life naked adults IS permitted.
The following is Questionable material. You won't suffer punishment for posting it outside the NSFW section, but it might be polite to give warning.

  • Images or videos that contain partially clothed women or fondling.
  • Images containing a degree of violence, so long as it is not gratuitous or overly graphic.
  • Written scenes that heavily imply any kind of sexual conduct (even if the sexual conduct itself would be illegal), so long as it remains at implication, and does not cross over into explicit explanation/description.

If you know you're going to have NSFW in your story, you might want to start it out there. If you don't have it yet you can leave it in SFW until you get to the gore, then ask it to be moved. Or you can post just the gore sections in NSFW and link back and forth between the SFW and NSFW chapters.

The SFW section is actually the more specialized one here, and the one that gets less traffic. Even if you just want your readers to be able to discuss NSFW things or post NSFW artwork and such, you typically want to post it in NSFW. Because the divide is for the whole thread, not just your story posts, posting in SFW is generally for when people want not only the story itself, but any in-thread discussion of the story to remain relatively "clean."

We have a vocal minority who keep making noise about how much they don't like people posting things in NSFW if they don't have planned lewdness in them, but they're not representative of the staff or of most users. They also mostly stick to complaining about it in the Rants subforum at this point, so while you might get one or two poking their heads up about it, that's about it.
