Waifu Catalog is a specific CYOA from the initial wave of waifu pickers that steadily grew into its own thing.

Probably just linguistic corruption. Actually looking at the tag, most of its entries are also tagged with the specific CYOA used, and it's not always WC. I would merge it into "r34 economy".

Looking at the specific threads, 'r34 catalog' all do seem to use some variety of a 'r34 economy' CYOA, so it does seem to be the same thing. Will keep them in the same merge group, as they are.

The key word there is "uplift". While splitting that to two tags and assigning the 4 threads with that tag both "uplift" (or uplift drama) and political drama is possible, you shouldn't remove the uplift tag from those threads. That is something people will be searching for/excluding. I think this should go in a group with the other uplift tags, or possibly merge a bunch of them to "uplift", although several (such as this) do seem to give additional information beyond it being an uplift story.

That seems to lose the information the tag provides, i.e that the story has Shonen elements, but then there's only one thread from 2018 tagged with it so whatever...

*checks* The DLC's are add-on docs to the main CYOA body. Given the nature of such CYOAs, it can be either of those or neither of them.
...Not that it particularly matters in this case, given there are only two threads with the <wc dlc's> tag (the first one used a legacy aspect (the Tao patron, struck out of the main doc while Chibi-Reaper was writing the story), the second included new/expansion DLCs as standard but left off the legacy DLC's).

Patrons were never in "the main doc" in the first place. The first interactive was never official and its inclusion of patrons was always a sticking point. IIRC Chibi-Reaper stories that seem to use WC are mostly actually CFE in practice, though I haven't bothered to read one in... perhaps ever.

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone actually searching for that tag, so I'm not as worried about synonymising it with the closest fit. It could be linked to 'shonen', 'dark fantasy', or 'despair and hope', but the nuance seemed to match the rest of the tags in the last group* more than the other two. If I get parent/child functionality, I'd ideally link it to all three.

I'm not that familiar with dragon ball, but I have seen some authors comment that they hate X series ('super' specifically), and will be treating it as non-canon, which is a good indicator that they should be kept separate. AIUI, the series themselves have different time periods, locations, and/or characters - if nothing else, it might point to all the previous series canonical events having already taken place - so even if it's the same universe, it's not unlikely people might be interested in searching for/excluding a specific tag.

If I could link them all under the 'dragon ball' parent tag, I would, but they aren't synonyms from what I know.
