• An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • We've issued a clarification on our policy on AI-generated work.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

Potential Rule 8 Question: Regarding the Recent Anti-NSFW Content Bans...

There are three things big money is afraid of:
1. Losing money (unless it's your money, not their own)
2. Taking personal responsibility for anything
3. Getting physically attacked

The options for ordinary people, therefore, are:
1. Boycotts
2. Naming and shaming
3. Torches and pitchforks

Are you sure they caved instead of using it as an excuse or even sponsoring and creating the excuse?
You mean the same Credit Card companies that let people pay onlyfans and porn hub for actual CP for years and that still do business with multiple shitty places, companies and people?

Yeah, I am pretty sure, they want money, they want to have good optics because muh investors, and they don't give a rat's ass about anything else.

This form of slacktivism pandering is right up their alley.

Well I am not buying anything else from steam unless it is via those credit codes you can buy from stores and such.
Ans I will be paying with cash.

I will also be checking how much money mastercrap gets from my purchases(I have a debit not a credit card), and I will be making sure to limit my purchases to cash only.I will also be checking if alternate payment methods like Revolut touch those two companies payment systems and might get a Revolut card.
In Europe we have a bunch of options other than Visa and MasterCard, but I am not really that familiar with them.
When you have a payments account here they just give you a debit card that is either visa or Mastercard-compatible.

Yeah, it is not like I am not a corporate IT and I don't know what useless self serving passive-aggrrssive clowns most middle and upper managers and other office drones are...
As long as you showed up and did just enough to keep your job, despite being surrounded by self-serving passive-aggressive clowns, Dilbert worked. It gave you and millions of Americans a morning buzz of self-righteous superiority while reinforcing the idea that their wagecuck situation was normal and it was like that everywhere.

Big money are the ones who fly to foreign lands and privately owned islands to indulge in whatever debauchery they please. That their customers must pay fees for the privilege of paying to watch recordings of what their masters get to do and feel with their own bodies, must amuse them greatly.

The idea that karens somehow effected change by flapping their yap is cope. karens don't have that ability; they are only relevant when amplified by some major media platform, which again, are owned and operated by big money. If it seems from the outside that karens got one over on big money, the logical conclusion is that big money chose to make a change and allowed a plausible reason for that change to be promulgated through their media outlets and social media aggregators.

I'll grant you 1 and 3, with the caveat that it's not fiat currency they care about, but wealth. 2 doesn't matter without the use of their assets.

I have no idea how being from Europe changes anything?
We are getting onto NWO/lizard people/Illuminati conspiracy theory territory, that is pointless.
He is talking as if I am an American, I am not.
And there are differences between US and European companies mindset-wise.
The US tech company I had to deal with was a total shithole with more pointless procedures and pointy haired boss overhead than any European tech company I've had to deal with.
There are lots of differences between big and small company culture and a bunch between European and American company culture.

Frankly America has a lot more unproductive employees and useless managers than we do.

Not that European work culture is monolithic and that American dumb ideas aren't creeping in, mind you.
