Sure. Changed.kinglugia said:On those who wanted to vote for the Loser votes, might I tempt you with replacing the Loser part with Otaku?
I'm just imagining if this quest was Kumagawa wishing he could be a protagonist in Shonen Jump.kinglugia said:On those who wanted to vote for the Loser votes, might I tempt you with replacing the Loser part with Otaku?
Considering we apparently knew enough about games to want to turn our life into one I'd argue we'd likely have quite a bit of IC knowledge anyway.Selias said:Sure. Changed.
Also people, remember that having The Otaku as an origin will allow our character to have a lot of IC knowledge about video games, which can only help, in the long run.
Ha. What? Everyone knows about video games. Everyone. That doesn't mean that they know enough to take advantage of their life being turned into one.Malcolmo said:Considering we apparently knew enough about games to want to turn our life into one I'd argue we'd likely have quite a bit of IC knowledge anyway.
How many of these people would wish for such a thing though? Besides which, even if we had only moderate amount of knowledge most of it can be acquired off of the internet anyway so it's not like we're losing much if we don't pick said choice.Selias said:Ha. Oh I missed that... However it is still true that it is stupid to fight a witch with only level 1 in Energy Bolt since upgrading skills can be done quickly in the beginning.kinglugia said:

Is ths supposed to be "Deals 20% damage when using one"?
- Piercing Weapon Proficiency (Level 1, 83.15%) - The gamer is now proficient with all forms of piercing-type weapons, such as spears and rapiers. Deals 20% damage when using one, as well as giving a bonus to attacks made using them.
Mami only had her ribbons when she began as a meguca without the Gamer ability and yet she can survive until now.Graig said:Oh I missed that... However it is still true that it is stupid to fight a witch with only level 1 in Energy Bolt since upgrading skills can be done quickly in the beginning.
I'd rather we at least boosted some of our other stats since a) we are currently extremely squishy and unlike The Gamer's protagonist we won't necessarily have someone to play tank for us b) we do not have infinite mana and the cost of energy bolt will likely scale with the increase in power meaning that at times we could end up with no mana for skills c) We cannot afford to be slow and weak when our melee weapon is a rapier since does sort of weapons require speed and a decent quantity of strength to use to any effect.Graig said:I would suggest putting all of our 80 points into intelligence. It would enormously increase the damage of our Energy Bolt and we might get extra perks at stat 50 and possibly 100 (the protagonist of The Gamer got such a perk at int 50)
Energy Bolt cost 6 Mana when using the rapier. The damage but not the mana cost goes up with increased int. We can afford to use Energy Bolt 37.5 times before running out of mana and we are likely to get even more mana when we put that many points in int (the level 50 perk in The Gamer among otherr things gave 5% extra mana).Malcolmo said:I'd rather we at least boosted some of our other stats since a) we are currently extremely squishy and unlike The Gamer's protagonist we won't necessarily have someone to play tank for us b) we do not have infinite mana and the cost of energy bolt will likely scale with the increase in power meaning that at times we could end up with no mana for skills c) We cannot afford to be slow and weak when our melee weapon is a rapier since does sort of weapons require speed and a decent quantity of strength to use to any effect.
