No he means "Yes please explain it to us."

I would prefer a summery/overview version myself if its too long but others may want the entire thing so... meh.

Right then, basically a thrust in fencing is extending your arm to hit the target. It doesn't have as much range or force as a lunge but it can be done quickly in rapid succession if need be and doesn't require you to move your feet so you aren't as likely to be caught off balance by your opponent. Essentially it's the closer range attack.
A lunge involves putting your front foot (if you're right handed this would be your right foot) forward, then straightening your back leg while extending your arm. A good example of one is in this video(0:04-0:05):
[embed=425,349]http://youtu.be/_8uhU6Qcpus[/embed]
In this case he's also charging before the lunge, giving him more speed. The benefits of lunging are that you have more range (and depending on how flexible you are and how long your arm is might let you score a it on an opponent from what would at first glance have been too great a distance away.) and it's generally faster in terms of speed though not rate of use (mostly because of the footwork involved). It's drawbacks are that you leave yourself less mobile while still recovering from the lunge (although that doesn't take very long), which makes it somewhat harder to defend yourself though not impossible. There's also the fact that if the floor is slippery a lunge would be somewhat more risky due to the nature of the move. Basically it's a longer range and faster move that can be used while rushing your opponent.

The Thrust is more Like Saito Haijime Signature technique from Ruroni Kenshin.

You mean like the first move shown here right?
[embed=425,349]http://youtu.be/uGJqbkH-VvY[/embed]

Thing is, moves like that aren't as usable with rapiers since if our opponent dodges sideways we can't swing our sword at him with any decent odds of killing him since it's not a slashing weapon. Adding to that it both telegraphs our move and moves the blade away from our opponent were we can't use it to parry any attacks both of which are a bad idea in combat with this type of weapon.

My issue with it isn't that I don't like it, it's that I doubt that there would be many situations were it'd be a good idea to use it.

...Eh?
So you want something that could do Gin's Shinsou abilities?

It's basically a super power Bolt focused to a point with a full body thrust.

When we get more time, we need to create some techniques.
Basics include Barrier, Mine(For preparing traps and whatnot), and Heal, if we can get it. We should increase int until we reach 50 whenever we level, then focus on agility until we 50 in that. Then we do secondary stats.

Could we increase our crafting skill by playing with legos or buying some model robots? Maybe building houses of cards? Also, do we have multiple crafting skills (blacksmithing, wood carving, pottery, painting, etc), or just the one? Maybe multiple ones that include everything in a certain classification, like Art, Weapon Making, Armor Making, etc? Like, Weapon Making would include blacksmithing to make weapons, carving wooden weapons, etc, while Armor Making would include blacksmithing to make armor, leather-crafting to make armor, etc, and Art would have things like pottery, painting, sketching, etc?

If we're going to craft things I'd rather make a scouter of some variety so we don't have to cast observe at the beginning of fights.

So, a magic-item crafting or enchanting skill? I guess we could enchant a pair of glasses, or something, but we'd have to make sure we could turn it off. Having it scan everything in sight would be a huge distraction. Also, something to make them indestructible, because... well, glass in your eyes is bad.

We could always take them off if we want a method to turn them off. Though scanning everything in sight sounds like a good way to level up a skill.

Having all of that info popping up uncontrollably also sounds like a good way to get killed, because we were so distracted, and since you want it so we don't have to use the skill before battles...

First off I doubt it'd work on everything in sight or that it'd be uncontrollable. IIRC the info you got form observe came up in a text box so we could if need be ignore it, not to mention we probably won't need to scan copies of the same thing more then once so the amount isn't as likely to be that large either.

So your plan to avoid having to say "observe" to observe things is to have to retrieve glasses from our inventory and put them on? The problem with using Observe at the beginning of fights isn't the actual casting, it's the time it takes to read the information we get from observing.

No my plan to avoid us observing everything in sight while out of dungeons was to take them off then. My main problem with using observe at the start of fights is the fact that we're sacrificing an attack in order to do so.
Though the solution to that would probably be learning speed reading.

That'd probably be a Skill worth getting, yeah. Something we could train during school, too, unlike most of the stuff we do.

You whispered "Observe", letting your newly gained skill scan your mysterious opponent. As you did so, a blue screen popped up, revealing a part of its nature to you, even as your intellect honed itself to a razor edge edge as your eye dilated to take in everything about your opponent.

Code:
Name: Lost Soul
Class: Spirit
Level: 8
HP: 300/300
MP: 300/300

Even within the cold logic of the Gamer's Mind, you can feel your heart move for this damned spirit. The pain and suffering it must have experienced to coalesce in such way you resolve to put it out of its misery.

You Focused, recalling information on Spiritual opponents.

Spirit Type. The creature's semi corporeal nature traditionally reduces physical attack effectiveness drastically. Likely Vulnerable to magic. Likely able to ignore physical hardiness. Status Effects or Status Drain Possible.

You knew from the distance between you and the approaching Lost Soul, you had gained an initiative against the Spirit-type undead, allowing you to plan ways to take it down.

Suggested Technique: Alpha Strike.

As you have been battling you have kept a close watch on the feel of battle. The way you muscle twitched to dodge and strike. The Position of that the tip of your sword must be in when you release a mana bolt and most importantly the coruscating force of your mana. It is a powerful sensation releasing mana and you've been thinking about what else you can do with it. You know what mage can do in an RPG and you also know that it is a long journey to heights of power and all journeys start somewhere and so you started.

Breathe in and draw your power from your heart.

Draw back with your whole body into the fifth thrust Stance as you funnel power to your rapier's base.

Hold gathering potential and mana energy.

Then Release thrusting forward with all you power!

MANA THRUST!

Mana Thrust (Level 1, 0/100) - The gamer channels mana into his rapier, before extending it in a thrusting motion. Increases effective striking range by 7, deals 50 + 0.5*Int*MP cost + STR + 2*DEX damage. 11 MP per second charge, maximum cap of 3 seconds charge.

A blue beam of light is shot forth from your rapier, swiftly extending and piercing the Lost Soul just as it turned around the corner.

Caught flat-footed, it barely had time to react as the attack struck true.

Lost Soul received 340 damage!
Lost Soul is defeated!
With a mourning wail, it dissipated, going down without a fight. Unknown to you, its wail had stirred the slumber of its master. Disturbed from its sleep, it now hungers for sustenance.

You continued the exploration of the dungeon, encountering more Dire Rats and Lost Souls, which you dispatched with ease, receiving some scrapes and bruises in the process. Thanks to your Gamer's Body, you healed after a few minutes of rest.

As you went deeper into the sewers, you begin to hear ominous moans coming out of nowhere. Just then, the Soul Gem on your hand began to blink in response to the anomaly.

Koizumi-san, a Lich's lair is nearby, and from the looks of it, seemed to be quite fierce as well.

You widened your eyes at the unmistakable sound of Kyubey, and whirled around, only to feel something heavy on your shoulder.

There's no time to waste here, Koizumi-san, it's really hungry! Hurry before it moves on!

You walked faster, devoting the twists and turns in the sewer into your memory, and came upon a shining sigil.

The entrance of the Lich's Lair. That's where all Lichs and Witches reside in, said Kyubey, but you were already moving.

Without a thought, you 'saved' your current progress even as you stepped into the Lair.

As soon as you entered the Lair, a trio of what seemed to be wraiths similar to the Lost Souls you encountered.

Dammit Lugia, you've infected APL. :p

... Stunt that. A two die stunt merely interacts with the environment.

Observe shit. Move.
