Figured out the movie I'm referencing at the end?Not gonna lie. I'm gonna miss this one. You actually pulled it off and made me LIKE Sophia.
Yeah, well, the story was always going to be about her becoming a hero, not what happens next.it's kinda bittersweet how short it was,but also this is the only story where Sophia gets a second chance from becoming a monster that she is in cannon.
Yeah, I could have. But I didn't decide on this theme ending until the last chapter.I could have sworn it was that, Man, I havent seen that in over 20 years!
You could have used one of the other great lines from it
"Why don't you just quit?"
"I got no where else to go!"
It is what she does best.Hm. Alright. I'm sad it stops there, but I get it. That's a solid point to end the narrative you set out for.
Still amused you gave Taylor the dial-an-escalation power that you did.
Heh. I haven't seen the original film, but I have seen enough references to it to recognise it.
Shadow Stalker: Advent of a Hero
Part Twelve: Big Boys Rules
Sophia looked up at Taylor; from this point of view, she seemed to bestride the world. A nod, and then she was gone. Sophia tried to turn her head, to watch her, but the pain that was radiating through her body overwhelmed everything.
Blackness overcame her.

"Lung!"
The leader of the ABB looked around with irritation; he finally had Armsmaster where he wanted him. The armoured hero was hurt, backed up against a wall, and his stupid broken weapon would not help him any more.
The girl who stood there could not have been more than fifteen, despite the bulking effect of the long coat she wore. She stared at him defiantly from behind bronze-painted goggles.
"Leave him," she ordered imperiously. "You want a fight, I'll give you a fight."
He began to laugh uproariously. This was too funny. This little skinny weed, offering to fight him? I am Lung.
She needed the stick. Canonically, she went through two and a half years of story, including being captured and puppeted by the Undersiders, a spell in juvey and the end of the freaking world, and she didn't change, didn't learn from her mistakes. No character development at all. So yeah, she's not gonna do it on her own.So I just found this story. Pretty nice to see Shadow Stalker grow from a psycho brat to a hero. On the other hand I couldn't help but feel that the romance somehow lessened the whole thing. I didn't like the everything for Taylor thing very much. Becoming a hero without that carror would have likely been harder to write, but it probably would have felt less forced.
Anyway, thank you for writing this captivating story.
