Sneaking His Way into the Multiverse (RWBY Jaune, WC-lite mechanics)

Awsome chapter. Great showing from Contesa, when she started adapting to Blank I was impressed. Also looks like Jaune found something to hate more than teleporters, portal users.

He suggested burning down the bar. Tattletale said no.
Jaunes bloodlust this chapter was weirdly in character. Verry humorous.
Tattletale instantly gaslighting her self was hilarious.

Ah, Jaune's Blank must've thrown her Path off then. Or her getting caught and fought off was part of a larger Path... man, Contessa is such a tension killer if you think about it.
Except that she has blindspots in canon, she can't predict the result of trigger events(she can predict you will trigger, but she can't even predict what category of power you will get) she can't predict Endbringers, she can't predict Scion, and she can't prevent Eidolon, so the butterfly effect from everything those 4 types of blindspots do, is constantly invalidating paths stretching over more than days.

I think its mentioned she has a small workaround by running hypothetical scenarios using stand ins for the people she can't predict, but that might just be fanon.

It's canon. That's probably what she was doing here after she her shard realised that there's an extra person obstacle it cannot perceive in front of the target. When she started shooting better around him.

There's also no guarantee it works the same as her existing blind spots as far as the experience of pathing him. The blind-spots she has is because PtV is lower on the hierarchy and gets told no, similar to how Broadcast can just tell it wrong info and it accepts it. Jaune's power being an out of context one means he might actually not exist to the shard instead.

Basically if there was a blind sport she may have expected to know there's a blind spot and it can't calculate a path involving it, and instead her shard just kept acting like there was nothing there and everyting was completely normal.

She do, but it's far from perfect, even for the ones she understands, new triggers she of course can't do it for, and she don't understand the Endbringers much at all, so it really only work for Eidolon and Scion to a degree.

Second best part of the chapter:

PtV finds a new variable(Hag Lisa yapping out of nowhere), adapts the relevant path to deal with the issue, and then it stumbles against both Jaune's [Blank] & Lisa's Aura.

Which ended up with Contessa experiencing a broken wrist & a sword wound, probably hasn't been injuried since she was just a kid.

Best part:

Escha wearing a mask.

E: forgot to mention yay more (if-you-squint-style) shipteasing between the blonde duo
I know it's probably still too early in the story to seriously discuss potential ships (we have way more character development to get through before that point lmao) but I got to admit, Lisa/Jaune is rapidly growing on me (sorry Sundancer) even when I'm totally fine with them remaining solely platonic at the same time. The way their relationship has been/is currently being fleshed out is, in my opinion, still one of—if not the best—aspect of this story.

Someone on tumblr mentioned how they couldn't imagine this story without Lisa in the co-pilots seat, and frankly I couldn't agree more. Which is funny to think about when you recall how many people objected to her inclusion back when it first happened.
