  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

I would like the opinion of reader on the latest 3 years about the new story genre that was created.

Do you like AI story? Why?
Do you not like them? Why?

I do not like them. Why? Because the technology isn't developed enough yet to give us something on the level of a bad amateur writer.
I'm not against AI entertainment in principle but it does not entertains me.

The technology is not really good enough.

But I don't mind the usage of AI when it comes to grammar and spelling.

🤔

From what I've heard from teachers that deal with reading AI stories more than any of us probably do they fall into cliches, and are all a bit samey if you don't micromanage them, enough so that they can figure out most of the time that they are indeed AI generated without relying on detection software.

So no, I'm not down for full AI stories, the technology isn't quite there yet.

That said, AI assisted stories can be okay if you carefully proofread the thing and do micromanage the machine so it doesn't turn into a story of a free spirited girl with a love for adventure as AI seems oddly obsessed with.

Opinion. AI-assisted/beta'ed with oversight and correction? Acceptable, as much a tool as spellcheck, word autocomplete and thesaurus.

Wholesale chunks of AI-generated content with/without author-defined key points linking the generated content? Heavily disapprove. Majority of full-AI generated content has extreme problems with plagiarism through unscrupulous/unregulated webscraping, effectively stealing the works of various authors on the internet for sample data with zero credit. Furthermore, question intentions of AI users for wholesale generated content, severe concerns regarding rights ownership for AI-generated published works, as well as concerns regarding employment/commisionage of human writers and threat to their livelihoods.

Opinion. Automated storymaking, especially for commercial sales/publishing, deemed as counterfeit items to flood the market, indirectly harming the industry as "profit" becomes a race for minimum-cost/minimum effort products.

Re: 100% free online stories: Mitigated concerns if clearly and openly indicated as such, though personal preference to avoid said stories due to lazy author impression. Fraud otherwise.
