The Eye of Marud follows the adventures of a warrior named Renwil, and his quest for the World Tree. Well, not Renwil's quest exactly. It's Orison's quest, but Renwil (human), Yazeg (dwarf), Elaine (human), and Kazamir (dwarf) are all along for the ride. Orison is a power-hungry human, who seeks godlike powers and will stop at nothing to get them.


Orison - a pale, pale-eyed sorcerer with a long, black sword.

Elaine - a powerful warrior (member of a secret sisterhood: an order of knights, under cover as a powerful warrior ally of Orison).

Yazeg - a silk-clad dwarf warrior from the distant land Dorannon (homeland of dwarvenkind)

Kazamir - a hooded scheming dwarven earth-wizard (he knows night speech of stone and sleeps the sacred sleep of stone)

Renwil - poor, local human warrior, who gains the blessing of an ettin
