2007 Nissan 350Z NISMO Edition (JDM version)

Along with the final revisions made to the Z33 platform Z-car for the 2007 model year, a limited higher-performance edition intended to be better suited for use on road courses was introduced, the result of a collaborative endeavor between NISMO (Nissan's in-house motorsports and performance division,) Yamaha, and Autech (a Japan-based tuner specializing in Nissans.)

Although the NISMO Edition used the same 306 HP 3.5L V-6 as the standard 350Z, with only a performance exhaust being fitted to enhance its output, many other modifications were made to make the car more suitable for track use. Driveline upgrades included a special limited-slip differential combined with traction control. The chassis also received a number of upgrades, including additional structural welding and reinforcements to make for a stiffer structure, a special suspension, and larger wheels of a special design. The brakes received attention as well, with the standard 350Z brakes being replaced with larger units sourced from Brembo. Finally, an aerodynamic body kit was fitted, based on the aerodynamic modifications made to the 350Z race cars that had been successful in the Japanese Super GT race series.

Available only as a manual-transmission coupe, US sales of the NISMO 350Z amounted to 1607 units across the 2 years it was available (2007-08,) although had demand been greater, Nissan reportedly would have been willing to build more of the NISMO Edition, possibly up to 10% of 350Z production. However, a number of factors, including the recession that coincided with the car's introduction, the general decline in demand for performance cars, and the fact that it was a more hard-core performance car with all the compromises in ride & comfort inherent in that, costing a few thousand dollars more than every other trim level offered except the luxury-oriented version of the convertible.

That is glorious. Kind of 'If Studio Ghibli did Star Wars'. Even better, the image is perfectly sized as a desktop background!

Yes, it did get a bit creepy to suddenly see this whenever I minimized Firefox.

Jade, a character from a webcomic called Ghostblade. She be a badass Kung-Fu apprentice who lives on a mountain with her hermit of a teacher. Also, she happens to have my ideal proportions/coloring/etc for a waifu. Can you blame me, though?

Diamond-chan, from Houseki no Kuni. She is a cute. Being super a cute in the above image, dressed in her winter PJs!

The Grand Admiral himself. Singularly the best villain character the Star Wars Expanded Universe has ever produced, and the sole redeeming feature of the otherwise awful 'Rebels' animated series. His creator has recently released the third book in a series about Thrawn and his exploits in the Imperial Navy, and I cannot recommend them enough! I've been listening to them on Audible, and Marc Thompson straight up knocks it out of the park!

Only Hollow Knight fans will get this: "GIT GUD!!!!"

More Jade. Showing off her tats and being bored.

Kara Zor-El, being a sweetheart heroine.

MAXIMUM OVER-FLOOF!

And people think that Slimes are 'low-level' mobs... Don't piss off the goo-girls, folks; hydraulic pressure + adjustable surface tension + shapeshifting = 'Ouch Time"TM

Bless the Germans for trying, but The Neverending Story (and all of its sequels) should have been an animated film. Preferably done by Ghibli.

Silksong HYPE!
