Yeah I'm aware but as I've said it's been so long since I've written anything that I couldn't help but use it a crutch to get me started. If I ever get to the point where I want to re-write this I would skip the scene in the Rock and go straight to the night of the Abomination fight.Should always reconsider starting with a rob scene. They're boring, formulaic, and we all know what happens in them. Just skip straight to the story as if you'd already shown the scene, and refer back to it.
So what's his powers? since I don't recognize it or i have missed it
Yeah I only know bits of the comics and the famous heroes hell I only knew the existence of Shazam due to the trailer and most of my knowledge comes from the movies of DCEU and MCUNot a DC comics fan, I take it?

The Captain isn't quite as iconic as Superman, but he's actually more powerful, once you take the lack of weaknesses into account. Almost as strong as Superman, almost as fast as The Flash, almost as good at thinking things out as Batman — Captain Marvel is almost as good as the entire first string of the Justice League. But it's one guy who has all of that, where the rest of them are specialists.
My question is, does the SI/OC get the tools that Billy had or just the basic powerset? The Historama alone would be game changing.
The new movie?Yeah I only know bits of the comics and the famous heroes hell I only knew the existence of Shazam due to the trailer and most of my knowledge comes from the movies of DCEU and MCU
What do you mean? He seemed to be hitting most of the points that the comic book Captain Marvel hits. The main difference is that the Wizard dies after giving him his powers. He even has a "wisdom of Solomon" scene at the end.The new movie?
Shit. Worthless.
It skips what makes the hero in question.
Captain Marvel is awesome. Pity he isn't in 'his' movie.
The Wizard dying right after empowering Billy is actually par for the course for most incarnations of the character (although most of the time he usually comes back as a ghost or somesuch to be a mentor and stuff). It's the stuff around that which takes cues from Curse of Shazam, the nu-52 era origin story, that's kinda eh. Personally I like the movie well enough and I think it is the best version of that story you could tell in a world where you can't ignore the nu52 and Geoff Johns' terrible story. What do you mean? Billy Battson was chosen because he was just that good a guy. What do you mean? He seemed to be hitting most of the points that the comic book Captain Marvel hits. The main difference is that the Wizard dies after giving him his powers. He even has a "wisdom of Solomon" scene at the end.
I'll point out that Billy was able to resist the temptation of the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man, which nobody prior to him had been able to do- though, admittedly, that was after he'd been granted superpowers and spent the whole movie fighting them.Billy Battson was chosen because he was just that good a guy.
I don't know who that guy was, but I didn't see Billy in him.
Others may not agree, that's on them. For me? Nope.
Just nope.
He spent much of the movie abusing them.I'll point out that Billy was able to resist the temptation of the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man, which nobody prior to him had been able to do- though, admittedly, that was after he'd been granted superpowers and spent the whole movie fighting them.
What? Eggs alone I would understand(always up for a good egging) but Eggs and Bacon?
So I can strangle them with it.What? Eggs alone I would understand(always up for a good egging) but Eggs and Bacon?
Thanks for reminding me I hadn't noticed. No threadmark.
Decent enough start. Not really a shazam fan but I love mcu. Let's see where this goes.
One of the stones that need destroying is the time stone, otherwise it's wasted effort doing the others. And definitely both reality and mind.
I wonder though if using the stones to terraform the moon into valhalla for even Aesir souls, to live alongside living mortals and gods is possible.
honestly all you need to do is get an audience with the living tribunal and have him stop allowing it to be used in such blasphemous ways I mean really everyone forgets that his power easily dwarfs the infinity gauntlet he can make it so they can only do their job and that's it destroying the infinity stones can cause a cosmic imbalance in the universe
Keep the timestone around, and Thanos can just do what was done in IW to retrieve the destroyed ones.
The rule at least as far as I understand it, and as goes this fic, is that the Stones are vulnerable to each other and to those who have received their powers from them (Wanda destroying the mind stone in IW), meaning that technically at this point in time Carol Danvers could technically be capable of destroying the Tesseract.Destroy the timestone too early and dormamu wrecks the planet.
Can it be destroyed by anything other than another stone?
