True Magician (Fate/Grand Order / High School DxD(Multi)

Chapter 49 New
Kyoto.

- "Now, now, stop sulking, Amaterasu-sama. It was just a harmless joke," I began in a soothing tone, looking at the goddess, "Besides, didn't we have something important to talk about?"

- "Hmph!" she snorted and turned her head away, crossing her arms.

- "I think he's right, Amaterasu-sama, we should focus on business," Yasaka rubbed her temples and muttered tiredly.

- "Aaaaaa~" Tia sang happily, stroking Kunou's fox ears sitting on her lap. At the same time, Yasaka's daughter squinted her eyes in pleasure and just leaned back on Beast II's chest.

We were in a small room with a single table in the middle, located in the very center of Yasaka's palace. Me and Amaterasu sat across from each other, Yasaka behind her shoulder, and Tia and Kunou to the side of us.

Well, the Sun Goddess is definitely an extraordinary person. Although her demeanor matched her appearance, her eyes watched me and Tia carefully.

Amaterasu is a very capable and powerful goddess. This is indicated by the divinity she skillfully wields. Amaterasu's divine power envelops her body like a cloak, extremely thin but strong and almost imperceptible. One wrong move on our part and she will throw all her strength to try and confront us, even knowing the futility of her attempts, which was the case in the establishment a while ago.

I grinned.

A Shinto version of Serafall? How amusing.

- "Ahem," I falsely cleared my throat and drew in, "I suggest we forget what happened and start over. Romani Archaman, Magician. Nice to meet you, Ama-chan."

- "Address me as 'Amaterasu-sama', magician!" she resented it.

- "Yeah, yeah, I'll take that under advisement, Ama-chan," I completely ignored her outrage and waved her off, to which she gritted her teeth loudly, "Let's talk business. Perhaps my actions have caused you trouble?"

- "Trouble?! Do you have any idea how many words, ink and paper it took to fight off the other gods!" she shrieked and started pointing her
finger at me.

- "Three?"

- "Thousands! Every pantheon was alarmed by your power! Hundreds of messengers and letters have flooded my office with questions! Do you have any idea how much effort I spent cleaning up this mess?! All in one damn day!"

- "Amaterasu-sama, please," Yasaka pleaded, glancing worriedly at Kunou, "My daughter is here."

- "Tch," the goddess clucked loudly, and then, taking a deep breath, continued, "You're not part of us. We know that, you know that, but not them. The other pantheons are convinced that the power you showed in Kuoh belongs to the Shinto simply because you reside on my land. And, of course, they are concerned. Zeus in particular stood out, demanding that you be turned over to him since 'Heaven' is his territory."

- "Oh? Mr. 'stab anything that moves' 'demanding'?" I raised an eyebrow, "And why not turn me over to him? That would instantly settle all questions."

- "And show weakness? No thanks," Amaterasu grinned, "I am well aware of those you hide in your home. Especially their strength. If I betrayed you, not only the Greeks would lose their heads, but also us."

Oh? Interesting. She was able to know the power of the Servants, even with multiple layers of closed fields. Maybe it's a territorial advantage? Quite possibly, since she's in charge of all the lands of Japan.

She's right, though, albeit partially. Olympus would fall within minutes if something like this happened. I wouldn't touch the Shintoists, but it would leave a residue. Amaterasu does protect her lands and care for her people, and her actions wouldn't be something out of the ordinary. But there is something I'm curious about.

- "And how did you solve the question, Ama-chan?"

- "Quite simply. Although you are not part of us, that can be corrected very easily," she began, and then pointed a finger at Yasaka, "She will marry you. It's official."

- "Amaterasu-sama?!" Yasaka shrieked in exasperation, and Kunou broke away from Tia's caresses and did the same as her mother.

And me? My only reaction was a raised eyebrow.

- "Politics, huh? Effective but risky," I said slowly and looked at the goddess, "Wouldn't that just raise the heat? Especially from the biblical faction. And what makes you think I'll just accept it?"

- "Premonition," Amaterasu grinned, "You're definitely not disgusted with each other. Kunou will get a father figure, and Yasaka will get a man. Solomon was indeed a womanizer, but he always respected his women and loved them equally, even regardless of their number. Besides, both the biblical and Shinto factions are only on the plus side of this."

- "You make it sound like I control them."

- "Oh? But you will. Even my rambunctious brother who only thinks with his muscles agrees with me on that," she waved it off and looked at Yasaka, "Go on a couple dates or something, I don't care. But the matter is already settled. You WILL be married."

Saying that, she disappeared from the room, leaving us alone. Silence was the only sound in the room, and the gazes of two women and one girl were directed at me.

Honestly, I have nothing to complain about. An adorable daughter and a beautiful wife? Sounds like wet teenage dreams. But becoming a political tool? Not so much anymore.

You might say you should have pressed Amaterasu by force, but why? Mythologies are going to interfere with my business and plot anyway.

Of course, some people won't care, but the rest? The same Zeus will be very interested in my affairs, if only because of Medusa and Heracles under my wing.

If I tear down some pantheon, the others will not sit idly by and will either want to sway me to their side or deal with me amicably. The Shintoists just happened to be smarter and made the move first.

I sighed tiredly and rubbed my temples, then looked at Yasaka, who was somewhat uncertain about the situation.

- "Yasaka-san, you wouldn't mind my visit at a later time to... get to know each other better, would you? Maybe we can work something out."

- "Yes... I don't mind..." she murmured, looking at her daughter, "I too need to consider and accept Amaterasu-sama's words. Me and Kunou..."

- "In that case, I'll bow out," I said and straightened up, nodding to Tia, "See you later, Yasaka-san, Kunou-chan."

The next moment, me and Tia disappeared from Yasaka's palace.

We need to think about it...

Emiya Residence.

When my feet touched the ground, I instantly slapped my face... because it was GROUND that they touched.

My home, my fortress and stronghold in this crazy world... was destroyed... completely and utterly....

Who... What bastard did this?! He wants a war, hmm?! Whoever it was... he's a fucking corpse.....

And in the midst of his ruins stood Grandpa and Hundred Face alone, who noticed me and slowly approached me: King Hassan with his usual calmness, and Hundred Face with some apprehension.

- "Who?" I hissed like a viper, glaring at Grandpa.

- "Demons. As the leader of the Fallen explained to me, this is the work of a faction of past demon lords." He said calmly and measuredly.

Oh? These mortals want to play? Open this Pandora's Box? Looks like it's time for the Servants to go wild.

Wait. Where are they?

- "Where are the Servants?"

- "Morgan Le Fay wanted to take the Servants to Pendragon Mansion. To show her superiority to the King of Knights."

- "And you and the Hundred Faces?"

- "You asked us to watch the city and not show our faces unless necessary."

- "And there was, you know," I sighed tiredly, then looked around at my ruined house, "Go to the Pendragons and tell the Servants that rebuilding MY house is on them. No magic or anything like that. Every brick, every scratch and drop of paint must be rebuilt. Their own. Their own. By your own hands. If they refuse, tell them I'll take all their powers and send them to a place with so many tentacles that death will be manna from heaven."

- "Whatever you say." and they disappeared into the shadows.

- "Tia, you can check on Tiamat for a while. I think she'll be glad to," I said with a smile on my face and stroked her head, to which she nodded her head and disappeared into a gap in space.

I activated my 3rd magic and found a place where deliberately dead demons were hiding and teleported there.

Time to pay the bills...

Lucifer's old castle.

I found myself right in front of an army of demons, and at the head of a low throne sat a gray-haired demon with a goatee. Rizevim, most likely. And just behind him stood four others. As I understood it, they were Shalba, Katerea, Cruzeray, and Euclid, judging by the color of their hair.

Seeing me, the demons became alarmed and began to unleash their power.

- "Oh? Look who's here," Rizevim began boldly and confidently, glancing at me, "Are you lost, human?"

His self-confidence and sense of self-importance was so thick it was sickening.

And he's confident in his own abilities, eh? Well, not for long.

Today is going to be fireworks day in the Underworld.

Chapter 50 New
Lucifer's old castle.

There were taunts and obvious threats from the demons in my direction as they roared through the spacious throne room. Rizevim himself was studying me with amusement in his gaze, as were Katerea and Cruzeray. Respect? In the dumpster, obviously. Shalba, on the other hand, whom I had spanked in Kyoto, tried to kill me with a look and didn't even hide it.

My anger at the destruction of the house dissipated and was replaced by anticipation. Anticipation of fun and excitement, which put the shittiest grin on my face. Which Rezevim noticed, and the others stared at me in confusion.

- "Hmm? What's that grin on your face, human? Aren't you scared?"

- "I'd be scared if there was someone to be scared of," I shrugged, rubbing my chin and giving him a scrutinizing look, "And it sure as hell ain't you or the cannon fodder around you. You're like an army of chipmunks. The numbers don't make you intimidating, but rather make you smile, goatee."

At my words, the three descendants and the army of demons behind me were naturally offended and wanted to make their threats, but Rizevim stopped them by raising his hand.

- "How interesting," he smirked, "How about this?"

As soon as he finished speaking, a power began to emanate from his body that caused the descendants to look at him worriedly and the demons to fall to their knees. The building shook, and cracks started to spread across the floor from Rizevim.

In response to his actions, I simply stuck my pinky finger in my ear and began to clean it, unaffected in the slightest by his pressure. I even heard a bored yawn from Goetia, who was also not the least bit impressed. A serious expression now appeared on the culprit's own face, replacing the smirk.

- "Did you do something?" I asked relaxedly, then pointed around, "What a job. Who built this shack, you? Also, why do you all have similar hairstyles? One barber and he's on vacation?"

- "Who are you? Why are you here?" Rizevim asked, completely ignoring my words.

- "Oh? You're the one who destroyed my house and now you're asking me what I'm doing here? Have you lost your memory, or are you schizophrenic? Or maybe you're just an idiot, I wouldn't know."

In response to my words, realization appeared in his eyes, as did the trio of descendants. They briefly glanced at each other, and then already looked at me with concern. But I was concerned- No, not like that. I was STRONGLY concerned by the look I was getting from Katerea. Rizevim, on the other hand...

- "So. it's you?" he said as if the problem was gone, and the smirk returned, "Very confident, human. And so was your predecessor. Do you know why the demons obeyed him, Solomon's reincarnation?"

As the last words came out of his mouth, the whispering demons behind me stopped. It was as if someone had pressed a sound button and put them into silent mode. Hundreds of pairs of eyes began to drill my back with stares. Some with fear, some with disbelief, and some with... nostalgia? How interesting.

- "Oya? Is that what I'm hearing from someone like you? Have you looked in the mirror lately? Or are you afraid that the glass will shatter from your level of pathos and the ridiculousness of your goatee?" I grinned and, putting my hand out in front of me, began to curl my fingers, "Because God gave him this power..."

A groan of pain came from behind me, and my descendants' faces twisted.

- "...well, and the rings that God gave him..."

The groaning was louder now, and Cruzeray, Shalba, and Katerea clutched their heads.

- "...also, God's blessing, sort of..."

Following that, my hearing caught the sound of a body falling to the ground, and a drop of blood dripped out of the descendants' ears.

- "...and…"

- "Enough!" Shalba intervened and pointed his finger in my direction, "Why do we put up with his abuse! We should kill him!"

- "Calm down. He's our guest, albeit uninvited," Rizevim said soothingly, and got an angry look from Shalba, "And you're right, Romani Archaman. All because of the rings that were given to him. But Solomon gave them back, didn't he? So what gives you the confidence to walk out of here alive?"

- "Brains?" I said, pointing my index finger at his temple, which he safely ignored, "You know, the ones that allow you to think and make decisions. They're also called gray matter, you know. That's just for the record, to make it clearer to you what we're talking about."

- "Enough! You're asking for a slow and painful death, Romani Archaman."

- "But you asked, didn't you? I'm just answering your question."

- "Kill him. Perhaps there is work for the bearer of the Holy Grail. We can't have just one death, can we, gentlemen?"

The descendants didn't move at his words, but the demons behind my back did. After waiting a few moments, they rushed toward me like hungry dogs, trying to grab their piece of the glory for defeating me. But they were thwarted by one very minor factor...

I'm stronger.

And before I could act, a very, VERY crazy idea came to mind, causing a wild, unnatural smile to appear on my face.

- "You are insane after all, Romani." Goetia grinned.

- "We're all insane. The only difference is the degree of that madness, my friend."

Katerea honestly believed that the new order of the Underworld was unnatural and contrary to everything her ancestor had died for. A strong nation follows only a strong leader, and the current Demon Lords were no such thing.

It wasn't about 'strength' itself in the literal sense of the word, but about mentality and decisions.

Katerea knew that Sirzechs Gremory was powerful, but he obeyed the Council, parodying a dog on a leash. A Council that only acted as advisors and chimed in with the original demons. The Underworld was ruled by the Demon Lords and the original Lucifer both on paper and in practice. No one dared to oppose them. All demons were united and wished for the prosperity of their race.

Now, however, that was far from the case. They had become vain and selfish. She would understand if it applied to everyone but themselves, but no.

Zekram Bael, a smug and slimy snake-like bastard who has spread his net all over the Underworld. He thinks solely of his clan and nothing else, even though he is the original. The goal that was before the Great War is now forgotten.

'Civilizations come and go, but demons are eternal.'

The vast resources Zekram possesses could be used to expand and bring back the demons' former power. However, they are spent solely on the prosperity of the Bael clan.

Katerea could even ignore Serafall for stealing the title of Leviathan from her if she were following a greater purpose. But instead, she dishonors the title she carries. And not only him, but Katerea herself.

Even those with whom Katerea was now with were also utterly disgusted with her. Cruzeray and Shalba truly believe that they should be the ones to rule the demons simply for having the blood of their ancestors flowing in their veins. No skill, no thought - just empty ambition. All Rizevim wants is chaos. And that includes the demons.

The current Underworld consorts with those who have been branded enemies since birth. He sets his head on the scaffold and asks outright for it to be chopped off.

Demons are weak. And that needs to be corrected.

But just minutes ago, she was contacted by someone who should be dead. Someone she truly respected and honored. The Great Ancestor. And the only words that rang through her mind were, 'Prepare yourself, my descendant. He is coming. The one you truly need.'

His voice was like a thunderclap. Strong, aloof, and powerful. And Katerea believed the voice of the Great Ancestor. For someone had indeed come to the castle. The reincarnation of Solomon himself, the one whom all the original demons had followed, and under whom the Underworld was like Paradise.

The man named Romani Archaman was smug and rude. There wasn't an ounce of fear or shame in his demeanor, as if he knew that none of us could stand up to him. As if...he is absolute.

And now this man was smiling. The twisted smile and cheerful look never left his face, even as dozens of spears and swords pierced his body, his skin and hair charred from the attacking magic, and blood poured from his wounds. The next moment, he fell to the ground, stopping moving.

A sadistic expression appeared on the faces of Rizevim, Cruzeray, and Shalba, as did the other demons. But not on mine.

Was this how it was going to end? Was I supposed to intervene? Why didn't the Great Ancestor say anything?

But... a few seconds later, from the dead body came... laughter. Growing and sinister.

- "Ha-ha... ha-ha-ha-ha-ha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" the former dead man laughed madly and slowly stood up, and there was no trace of wounds or any damage on his body. At this, the rank and file demons retreated, and a stunned expression appeared on my face, just like the other descendants.

Why is he laughing? How is he in one piece? How…

- "You mentioned that you wouldn't get around to killing me alone, didn't you?" He asked with a mad smile, stopping laughing and looking at Rizevim, "But who says I agree with that?"

And the next moment the castle… No, the entire underworld shook with power, and the blood in my veins froze. Not from fear or panic, but from a very ancient and familiar feeling. It was as if...

As if the original demons themselves had returned to punish us.
