So I've been reading fics and novels for almost 6 years and I've come to realize that most fics i read are categorized into types these are how i distinguish them:
1st: i won't read this even if it will kill me: something so hideous you don't want to read it even if you'll die, everyone normal knows that they won't like it so it's not shared or memed,ex: ntr( for normal people), cuckolding, poison( this is mostly after a while will it appear)
2nd: ew, what's that: mostly the same as the first type but it's not as extreme, and most share it for the memes
3rd : meh: exactly as it sounds, you can read it if you have nothing to read so you can pass the time, and most of the times it's cliches or overused troups, ex: most Chinese fanfics, face slapping, courting death, etc
4th: okay that's good: these are the good fics that you'll recommend to someone, some won't like some will, but they won't like just because it's not their type not that there's something wrong with the story itself, most of them use cliche troups but they know how to write so there's no problem
5th: wow: these are a tier above the forth, they are mostly the same but they don't use cliches or have a unique story that will let you remember it's name
6th: imma ping this tonight: these are the type that will make you read them till they finish(the chapter not the story), but you can stop reading if you want
7th: I can't sleep till i finish this: same as the 6th but you can't stop reading them from how good they are
8th: how is he doing that : these are the ones that have magic power that'll let you feel everything the character feels but less, they can appear in some lower tier fics in some way like a paragraph or a chapter and that's it, but in this one they appear constantly chapter after chapter and they won't stop
9th:stop entering my mind :this the same as the 8th but magnified , so you will feel the character emotions and you'll feel like you're in the story experiencing the same things
10th: peak: this is peak, no questions asked everyone loves it if they can they'll most likely want to forget it just so they can re-read it
11th: ok let me take a deep breath: this not a tier as much as it's a bonus to some of the lower tiers, the inspiration (or brain damage)that some writers get, that after reading it you'll drop it for a minute and take a breath just so you can understand what have happened, this can be good or bad ,like a plot twist that'll make you continue till the end or drop it immediately.
