Video Games General

Know any Third Person Shooters with Anime Waifus?
Snowbreak.

Nikke if you squint enough.

Yeah they're Gacha Games, but that's honestly where most Waifu Games are now.

If not that, Lollipop Chainsaw is out there, the Remake was surprisingly faithful and it was written by a 'Gooner' on Twitter, so you know that Waifu-ism is still in tact.

I tried playing NIKKE and it doesn't feel like such exciting combat/gameplay

So I'm just sticking around for the story

So, how are you keeping tabs on the story? Got any help with your Ipad Mini? You mentioned how you played it on your Ipad Mini. Even if you mentioned you disliking playing mobile games. It will burn the phone hard and fast. Not good.

Your words contradict each other quite severely. Quite a lot as well. Intriguing my friend.

I am watching it via chapters I downloaded on YouTube, took me awhile to realize that the player was using multiple NIKKE from future chapters in advance

Gets annoying to be on the mostly text/blog only parts, given that I can't just speed up the voice lines

I tried playing on my iPad, I'm not even done with the first chapter, in part because I felt that it wasn't feeling like I was hitting anything

XBCX DE, MP4, MH Wilds... maybe a couple more I can't think of off hand for major "must buy" things. Plus, we fully expect the announcement and release of Nintendo's next console next year.

For less major stuff, or stuff I'm keeping an eye on... Synduality, Tales of Graces, Sniper Elite Resistance, Suikoden 1&2 HD, Starbites, Oddsparks, Mecha Break.

And of course, more content and updates for the two MMOs I play, Warframe and STO.

The Project Wingman Frontline-59 DLC is FINALLY on Steam!

Tiem for more plane combat for me.

@SuperPulp2789

Beating sigismund with Bjorn is relatively easy, I'm assuming snake boss after that is the issue.

Her invulnerability is based on "Illusions" There are 3 ways to deal with it. THe first is to fight the Illusion demon elite 3 times and successfully suss out the odd choice in their illusion.

The second is to visit the alchemist in the swamp, find the recipe , and then make the potion for use in the fight.

I go with trying to kill Sigismund first, before the snake, due to Sigismund having such high shielding

basically equipment hunting via shops and elite to override some of the negatives of Bjorn. Once you overriden those negative you can scale aggresively hard with Bjorn. That said unlike Percival you generally want to constantly pick new cards 100% of the time so that the curse cards don't overly dilute your deck.

Bjorn's cards scale incredibly well, but his best cards are normally in the class equipment. Additionally standard equipments like gain more strength for each curse and draw more for each curse are incredibly powerful

You can go right to the desert area, but you're typically hunting for troll/class equipment where as swamp area give you curse card synergy.

For folks who are interested...
GFL2 Exilium can be predownloaded even though the servers aren't open yet,, you can get the launcher from the game's page

I'm currently thinking up a pitch for something obviously inspired by Pokemon infinite fusion but considering the actual cost for spritework, the need for limitations.

Or a small roster of base types which then escalates from combining them with other types with the end result serving the purpose of evolutions.

Meant to keep to my word and update you all on my Veilguard playthrough: I absolutely have cheated some aspects of the game, namely the relationship grinding, materials and also the Shop maxing because I probably stated before but inquisition did somewhat the same thing with power and I do not at all enjoy that aspect.

Impressions though? Its a solid game in my opinion, I like the combat, the systems are interesting enough to me and I like story as its going. I'm a warrior Slayer so I'm swinging a bit ass two hander feeling pretty great when I running drop kick people away off cliffs.

I'm romancing harding(finally got that trigger to go through and finish) and currently just doing lot of side content which is usual in RPG is small little story things. Now there is something that I'm not going to spoil but I will say that it should absolutely not be side content is the quest Regrets of the Dread Wolf. I won't give deeper context because it is lore implications deeper and its rude to spoil games but its in my opinion way way too pivotal to the world of dragon age.

Companions are hit or miss I'd say BUT that's because of my own problems of following a guide and using certain companions, I can say not a fan of the Qunari visual change to be more human face like? I actually preferred the more alien aspect of their appearance because it reflected their alien type of culture with the Qun and all that.

So far my impressions as of now are this is still a solid game 7/10 maybe bordering 8/10; I will admit I'm probably not doing a secondary playthrough which is why I'm 40+ hours in on one playthrough, Oh and I do get the impression that Grey Warden Origin might be the most canon option if they make a series of the game going forward, I haven't paid deeper attention.

On another Note I actually managed to start playing Trepang2 and that game is some good simple fun and I am torturing myself playing it on Extremely Hard, I'm in no way doing RAGE mode because well I ain't want to get myself an ulcer heh. I haven't finished that one either but its an instant 7/10 for me as of now because the combat is so got damn fun, its simple linear to the point fun and I feel like the enemies are actually giving me trouble because its hard and a bit of tactics and not just "whoops higher dmg numbers."

...I just beat Satan on normal difficulty... but I did it without dying even once. I'm not sure I would've believed it was possible. Tank Girl OP I guess.

Well, technically it was James Bond, but I tossed out the tank before nabbing the extra life at the very beginning of the fight and beat him without losing it. I think I've gotten the tank in that fight before, but never managed to quite cheese it without losing it.

I am currently playing First Descendant

I am still somehow confused as to how this game exists, feels a LOT different compared to the other shooter games I played…..mostly due to the curvy female protagonist….which itself just feels surreal

Bought the early access for PoE 2, fun so far, definitely seems like a spiritual successor to Diablo 2 mixed with Elden Ring. My only complaint is there seems to be some input lag at times.

That might depend on server but also some skills have wind up times that can be dodged out of which can interfere with casting.

I've noticed some lag while running around the introduction map, and a bit occasionally while dodging. It is admittedly possible that it's due to my internet connection speed as well, and/or playing during peak hours.

Not to say that there isn't some lag, I've definitely noticed it while in towns/hub areas but when loading into areas it does go away. Though I have noticed the odd rendering issue here and there. Terrain not rendering properly etc. etc.

So Marvel Rivals(MR) 1 week impression.

TLDR: A great OW alternative, but not yet a superior replacement. In short Great game if you like DPS as a lot of the DPS are really really fun to play. But support and tank especially feels clunky.

MR is a hero shooter based on Marvel heroes, and critically it feels fun and looks fun. The DPS heroes are great and occupy a large playstyle, and TTK is incredibly short. All teh DPS can blow up their designated targets in a short period of time, and you without role limitation nothing stops you from playing your prefered Role.

The problem with MR otoh is that you aren' guanrateed to actualize your gameplan. Unlike OW2 which while relatively stale it cna consistently allow you to play as your hero even if you lose. With MR if you're getting stomped you might spend more time walking to the fight than actually playing the game.

Additionally the tanks in order to not be oppresive seems nerfed, especially wrt mobility. Not a bad thing to keep TTK down but I really don't want to play tanks as a result.

All in all if you like DPS MR is great, if you like Tank/Support OW2 is great.

*unrestrained scream of utter sheer joy*

They broke my Beat Saber mods again with an update, so I decided to play Pistol Whip instead. Pretty bored with the packaged songs, I decided to check out Remixes- fan made stuff.

Original Doom music with pixel art. Not sure which track. Short but okay.

Holding Out for a Hero, with an image from Shrek. Not bad, bit repetitive here and there, decently challenging.

Through the Fire And Flames...

...

...

...I... Surivived... *gasp!*

Seriously, the only song I've played that comes close is Cage Fight with the story settings on Hard.

Enemies EVERYWHERE. You have no hope of killing even half of them most of the time, there's just too many. If I was using boomsticks I might've gotten closer, but I just had dual pistols and your fingers are NOT fast enough. The final part has a T-Rex skeleton, a huge one... with probably more than twenty gatling guns all shooting at you at once.

It's not a song you play, it's a song you just hope you fucking survive.

But I lived! First try even. My legs are jelly and I'm having some trouble typing from how sore and twitchy my hands are, but I lived, bitch!

Found this gem of an upcoming game. Loving the premise and presentation. A normal, disgruntled superhero now forced to manage a coterie of superheroes after losing his power armor. Supposedly they have Moistkritical, Jesse Pink man's actor and Jacksepticeye actor working on it.

But I do hope choices can actually have effect and genuinely meaningful effects unlike most of Telltale's games.

Think back to Batman telltale game and Wolf Among Us.
