A bit of clarification: no, you don't see a couple megas fighting it out in the middle of Tokyo.Ok so the new Digimon game is solid. Very fun great line-up of Digimon and so many references.
I just saw Renaman, Impmon, Lopmon, Terriermon and Guardromon hanging out. Guilmon was hiding underground in a previous area.
Just... this whole game just makes me smile.
Also the game makes it quite clear what happens when Mega-level Digimon fight at full power in the middle of a city.
Dyson Sphere Program is third-person, but the map size is technically limited. (And the spherical nature of each planet means that space is an issue on the small scale.)Outside of Factorio(I think) are there any Non-First Person games with a virtually endless ever-expanding map for building infrastructure on?
Closest I can think of is Voxel Tycoon.
Adding that to the list of "I forgot to mention I already know about it" but thanks anyway.Dyson Sphere Program is third-person, but the map size is technically limited. (And the spherical nature of each planet means that space is an issue on the small scale.)
Your post leaves me with one very important question I must ask. Are you also a masochist as well as afraid of height?

Ah I see. It's just from how you described it it sounded as if you'd opted to play a modern take of Shadow of the Colossus while terrified of heights. Which was a bit of a mixed signal. It's actually a really cool game. It's just this part that can suck my dick. And the elevator earlier.
The rest is fighting cursed insane randos, solving puzzles and scrounging for loot. The first major boss was a little too obviously scripted and confusing, but this fight was awesome- even if I would've rather done it on the ground.
I'm also invested at this point, so we're finishing this shit.

I mean... that's actual war. But in the context of a videogame, yeah, it's bullshit.I know permadeath is a stable of the old fire emblem games but it feels wrong to let a unique character with an establish background and personality bite the dust because a surprise spearman comes barreling of out of the fog war and shiskabob them. The battles are not impossible but it's mentally straining to reload a turn or entire battle because I didn't maneuver my units well enough.
Technically yes but for these types of games it tends to just amount to "sigh I guess I'll have to reload". Repeated as often as necessary. Which needless to say just ends up being rather annoying more then it is meaningful.I mean... that's actual war. But in the context of a videogame, yeah, it's bullshit.
...Are you not hiding your own units in the woods? Use thieves for scouting? Make sure you don't leave fragile units vulnerable to what you described?
Thieves set up on forest tiles are nearly invulnerable Dodge Tanks. Useless, that is, you're playing on the highest difficulty ?yes, I do try to move them on the beneficial tiles.
no, cause i thought they were only good for unlocking chest and doors, plus they squishy
I do put my squishy's behind the front liners, it's my skirmishers (cavalier, pegasus knights, journeyman) that get taken out most of the time.

A guy did a charity bike ride across USA, from Pacific to Atlantic seas, emulating the trip FO3 Brotherhood of Steel crew did, and uploaded the first part.
