This is messed up. They're the ones to fuck up at all levels and so the guy who was right gets the kill order because he refused to play their cops and robbers game and actually killed the bad guys and refused to go along with their fuck ups and hand a little girl over to be taken by Coil?

To be fair to them, he killed civilians and heroes, not just villains.
However you're right it's fucked up, it's also a fairly standard response of a bureaucracy to being shown as being at fault.
 
Can't wait when our boy Anakin will form a second moon with the Simurgh by forcing her mass to be into a single dimension lmao. Tatooine nostalgia but with moons !

The Simurgh doesn't need to move to look at him, if she moved it's because she wanted people (the PRT, Cauldron, Various other governments, random capes, etc...) to react to her paying attention to BB since they don't know her range is effectively unlimited.
 
I love thinking about all the things Tattletale's power might tell her about Anakin as it figures them out, but because her power is a dick (and it doesn't have all the info either) it doesn't give her full context and just stresses her out.
examples:

Anakin: *exists*

Tattletale's power:
"He once murdered a large swathe of children. It's okay though, he felt bad about it 20 years later".

"Murdered his best friend (Obi-Wan), only sort of feels bad about it"

"Murdered his wife, it's okay though, he felt bad about it right away."

"Has indirectly killed more people than all three Endbringers, the man who dropped the Hiroshima bombs, and Hitler all combined. It's okay though, he felt bad about it a few years later."

"Is used to being more feared than the Simurgh"

"Believes he can defeat the endbringers"

"Hasn't fought the endbringers because he has never felt a reason to"

"Lung was not the largest enemy he had killed. Or the second largest. Or the third largest"

"Regards this place as a backwater"

"Is used to not being the most powerful individual in a room" (because he would be used to being in the same room as Palpy, so while he would also be used to being the most powerful person in a room because he isn't always in the same room as Palpy, Tattletale's power probably won't tell her that so it can get her to freak out about things by comparing Anakin to Palpy)

"Genuinely believe he was doing the kindest thing he could to all of his hundreds of subordinates that he choked to death"

"Is used to being recognized on sight by literally everyone"

"Regards himself as being in an ongoing process of redemption" (Tattletale breaks into hysterics)

"Tortured his biological daughter- who he loves very much- a while ago for information"

"Believes there are many people with all of his capabilities, but stronger- though most are dead" (because he knows about how strong some force users used to be, so he knows that things are possible like teleportation, creating black holes, shapeshifting, time travel, phasing, biological immortality (like master Fae) etc. as well as all the sith and jedi stuff he never learned like sith alchemy, battle meditation (maybe, he might have picked that up), postcognition, etc. and things he couldn't learn, like shatterpoints)

"Thinks driving 50 miles an hour is absurdly slow in any state of traffic"

"Regards all of his current equipment/technology as extremely subpar, barely acceptable temporary crap that he can't wait to improve to the point of them being tolerable"
