That's fair, it is a rather gross sensation. But some grow to enjoy it. Bit of an acquired taste according to all the guides on how to get into latex I've seen, start off with things like gloves for a short while, leaving plenty of skin exposed and working your way up, kind of like with hot sauce tolerance. Really it's the fact it resists you constantly giving you a constant awareness of it that makes it feel rather pleasant.
