• The site has now migrated to Xenforo 2. If you see any issues with the forum operation, please post them in the feedback thread.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

This thread will be for the purpose of collecting votes and pledges only. If you want to discuss the merits and cons of a switch to XF, use Vanathor's thread in the Announcements section.

Only post your pledge to this thread. Votes are done by the poll.

For pledges, post how much you are willing to chip in for the initial license purchase, and the date you can swing that pledge, up to immediately(don't actually donate yet though). If you can chip in on the yearly license renewal fee, post that too.

I can pledge (up to) one hundred dollars USD for purchasing the license, and up to fifteen dollars per year for the annual license, pending needs of the site. I can swing that amount of money immediately if it comes down to it.

Obviously I am in favor of getting it.

I can pledge $5 to $10 USD immediately, more by January. The annual license is a little less predictable but I should also be able to pitch in for that.

I'll drop in $10 for the initial fee. I could probably chip in for the renewal, but it's a little hard to say what's happening a year from now.

I can pledge however much is needed to fill out the amount for the initial fee, up to $100.

I can't promise being able to pay anything toward yearly renewal during the actual years in question. However, I may be able to drop some amount now (over and above anything for the initial fee) to stay in the account and go toward renewal in future years. Not sure what the parameters are on money staying in a Paypal account long-term.

Vanathor - $100.00
alethiophile - $100.00
StryderAnarchy - $20.00
Biigoh - $20.00
Guile - $10.00
RCa - $5-10.00
Walkir - $10.00
DuskAtDawn - $30.00
-------------------------
Total: $300.00 USD by my count currently.
Goal: $190.00 USD
--------------------------
Differential: $110.00 USD

So myself and Alethiophile looks like could afford to drop our donations from the maximum to $45 dollar a piece, plus or minus depending on whether or not everyone who pledged money follows through.

I'm not even going to bother totaling for the reoccurring fees cause have more then beat that by a landslide.

I'll throw $30 at the forum sometime around the tenth. I can't promise anything about the yearly donation, but I should be able to manage another twenty a year for as long as I can remember saying this.

I'm willing to put up as much as necessary to fund the cost of the license, up to and including the whole cost of the license.

I could throw 20€ or more into the pot, no problem. I'm sure I can contribute at least 10€ yearly.

I'D rather mention Dollars, as the admins can plan with that amount. I certainly picked those and will eat any currency changes. Just say $15/$8 or something to be on the safe side.

Based on Google, twenty euros is basically twenty-five dollars with current exchange rates.

For what it's worth, Paypal gave me an exchange rate of 1.20... and a 9 somewhere plus a $0.69 fee.

Er, saw this too late, I already sent it in euros. :-[

I guess no one cares for the one time payment, but the annual payment fluctuating over exchange rates makes planning harder. Still better than not getting the money because you won't eat the exchange rate risk yourself, though. ;)

Where are we supposed to send donations? I don't have any to spare at the moment, but when I start getting some spare income I would like to help support the site.
